    I just wanted to say thank you so much for the fantastic tutorials, they are INCREDIBLE!! If I am honest I'm very new to C4D and can't always follow they all the way through (especially regarding the hierarchy system/menus (as they're quite small and difficult to see) but regardless I have learned SOOOO much!! You are the best dude!!

    I've read in various places that the liquids should extend slightly beyond the inside wall of the glass for better rendering

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  Рік тому

      Could be true, I will look into that!

    • @donxello
      @donxello 4 місяці тому

      Yes it is called nested dielectrics I was told. If there is a space the light cannot enter directly from the glass to the liquid. But the overlap should be minimal.

    Hi... First of all i am Great fan of your work and tutorials.This Quality and detail tutorials are very rare on internet, for now i wanna talk about this tutorial , at around 09:03 of the video the 4th side of bottle is not behaving as the other 3 side are modelled. I am having the same problem. Is it a bug in Symmetry? . I am using cinema 4d 2023

      Hi, thank you, indeed it could be a bug, also make sure you align the mid points perfectly.

    Hello
    I'm getting a lot of help from watching your good tutorial all the time :)
    I have a question
    If you do the edge slide shown at 8:08 while looking at the tutorial you uploaded, the edge moves as you want, and some parts move in the opposite direction. I also set up the Symmetry Hub with you without any problems, but I'm asking if you know the reason.
    Thank you.

    Hi, your video helped me a lot! Thank you! My question is, is it okay to model an object in Rhino and then texturize it in C4D?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  3 місяці тому

      Hi, sure thing, why not, as long as you can export polygonal mesh, you are okay.

  • @j.ssuarez
    @j.ssuarez Рік тому +1

    Awesome stuff as always Mert! I wanted to ask you about the liquid inside the botlte. Most tutorials out there recommend that the liquid actually intersects the inner walls of the bottle. There's some technical explanation for it but here you actually avoided that, can you elaborate on that? thank you!

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  Рік тому +1

      Thank you Jesus!
      I usually follow this method because it makes the middle part less distorted/refracted so that the label would be more visible.
      You can follow a different approach in different scenes or light setups, it all depends on project type.

    In the symmetry part at 8:11 it always lost the selection on two sides so I had to boost the tolerance in the symmetry hub to 7. Then it worked again.
    Edit: Ok, a little bit later the symmetry freaks out again. When I want to push the polygons out at 8:58. Don't know why. On two sides it works normal and on the other two sides it goes mad. Let's see if I can find out why.
    Edit 2: When I select the polygons of another side, it works normal😵‍💫???

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  Рік тому

      It is buggy, I know, symmetry hub seems work better.

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  Рік тому

      If you want to be really good at motion graphics, I would say Cinema 4D is a great choice, also it is great for freelancing.
      Blender is also great, lots of learning material on youtube and it is free, plus it has its own render engine.
