    What a thoughtful and beautiful gift for your "sweet sixteen" daughter!! I'm sure she will cherish her tack locker and enjoy using it for a lifetime! You're such an amazing Dad and she is a very blessed young lady to have you for a father! Your attention to detail on the project is fantastic! I love the horse shoe handles and the leather tooling for her initials! Such meaningful touches! The milk paint finish and the storage design are cool too! A totally awesome gift! Thanks for sharing it!! I see Buddy helped supervise the project! You guys have a great weekend! God bless!!

    This is a wonderful design. We'll put together! The is even room for a hairbrush, a first aid kit and a change of clothes. Perfect.

    Omg, this is such an amazing tack locker! Plenty of room for the horse's boots and wraps, fly spray upright so it doesn't leak, first aid... everything. What a beautiful present, she's super lucky! ETA: my stepdad made me a brush tote like the one on the top in 1996, and I still use it every day. I think of him every time I use it, and I'm sure your daughter will have the same amazing memories every time she grooms her horse.

    Outstanding storage unit! You thought of every detail and chose some beautiful colors for the finish. The horseshoe handles are a fun accent! You're a great dad to make this special gift for your daughter. She'll cherish it!

    I like it a lot… it needs vented doors though. Horse tack is often damp when you put it away, and barns can be humid. Putting the grooming caddy under the saddle is more space efficient because the shapes mirror each other. This is a wonderful tack closet! ♥️

    It's awesome Eric! ...Sounds like your daughter is living the charmed life surrounded by nature and 🐎horses. I love horses, especially white horses. I hope you get to ride with her often.

      I don't get to ride with her too often. I do visit the barn a lot though!

    Darn its great to see your videos again brother! I've really been going through it. I got electrocuted at work and had some significant physical as well as Neurological Injuries, plus PTSD. Being a welder getting Zapped is no Bueno. I'm back to moving forward slowly, but forward. At least I'm upright! It's going to take a minute, but I'm going to get back behind my hood again. Its taking watching heroes like you to help me work through my fears via UA-cam to get me back at it. Baby steps everyday!

    OH MY GOSH!!!!! WHAT A CHERISHED GIFT! You did a fantastic job! love all the amenities. That will be so useful! I still have a tricycle that my dad and I built in the shop for one of my dolls. It is really primitive. But it means the world to me.

    I would absolutely love to build one of these...perhaps a bit shorter and with wheels for more of a mobile trunk. What were the magic dimensions in terms of depth and width to fit the saddle in and to adequately hang the saddle pads. I heard you say 28" deep for the drawers. Was that the ultimate depth of the cabinet? Appreciate any dimensional details you wouldn't mind sharing!

    • @CraftsmansLegacy
      @CraftsmansLegacy  Рік тому +1

      I used 30 depth. I measured the saddle and added a few inches for variations in saddles.

    What wood do you use? I was thinking 18mm structural ply bord. But thought I would ask you before I buy something and it falls to peices. 🤣 xx

    • @CraftsmansLegacy
      @CraftsmansLegacy  3 роки тому

      I used 3/4 (18mm) 13-ply baltic birch for everything except the back which is 1/2. Let me know if you have any questions!
