The main attractor is the fact that you’re mainly calm and collected, and you roll with the blows of the pvp community, improving your craft in game and in content creation. No matter what choice you make, I think you’ll do fine in terms of the youtube or twitch side of things.
Found the channel through YT Shorts. Subbed for the chill dude behind the screen & double GL gameplay. Don’t care if it’s on Twitch or not. Just make sure to upload stream highlights and/or commentary videos periodically to your UA-cam channel.
I watch your content to learn and be better at the game. Knowing why you're doing what you're doing in the game would be helpful. The highlight vids are dope. I'll continue to check out whatever you decide to put out.
I used to make regular videos on post gameplay commentary I'll try and pump out a few more of those over the next few weeks. Thanks for taking the time to watch my stuff!
Regarding educational content, you could take your clip highlights for the week and just do a video consisting of clip reviews on a play-by-play basis. So instead of trying to make a general guide, you just talk through your specific awareness and execution of a situation so that you can give people some insight into the way you play, similar to reviews done by Datto to help community with PVE content (ages ago). You could also get people to submit their Fighting Lion clips and review those as well.
I think the hynra style montage/highlights idea is good, his vids are engaging he and fun to watch.( not saying yours aren’t) . Having a discord section of struggles with the loadout and clips of various scenarios would be cool, then you could upload tips videos based on those. Anyways this are my thoughts, peace ✌️
For the fighting lion video: Make it like how Fighting-Game-Videos showcase combos. With the input strings, hit boxes, and hitboxe range, expected damages, and damage thresholds needed to be met to kill with followups Pulse or FireMelee, strong maps for GLs and how to take advantage, weak maps for GL's and how to not throw. Everything with clips, ideally. 1. Input Strings: Show us some frequent input-chains you use, like how you Shoot-ICDash-Shoot without before the ammo counter even updates. Common input mistakes and slip-ups that you still make. 2. Hit boxes: Show us exactly how much the Blast Radius stat affects GL's. Show us how to best aim for people above or below or on ledge, and how do it while bouncing. 3. Damage threshholds: Set up a private match showing us how to early-explode GL's and how that affects the damage. Show us damage calcs for how much we should hit for before swapping to a pulse, or a SolarMelee, other clean-up weapons 4. Maps: Good maps for the loadout, bad maps for the loadout, Strong angles, weak angles, spam angles, agression angles, how not to throw. 5. Loadout insights: build advantages and disadvantages for fighting agianst shotgunners and smg apes etc
I enjoy the raw game play in your shorts format and that's initially what pulled me to the channel, especially since you were rocking the fighting lion. I love the fighting lion but my biggest issue on it is predicting how it will bounce to accurately hit or even just get splash damage off
I love your content. Imo pvp is in such a awful state that I am loosing interest but so happy youre still enjoing it and will continue to watch your content whatever platform you descide to stream on. Also regarding the vods you could make a patreon with a free tier and post them on there for free for those that want to watch them
A patreon is a good shout, in the past I've always been under the perception that I need to grow my audience more before asking people to go there. That's a really clever idea though as it solves both the algorithm problem and offers more potential future monetary incentives while also not taking away content that I currently offer for free. I'll look into that thanks for the suggestion!
I love your content and your build. So far it's my only build I use in pvp so much fun and I love seeing the master play. Always learn something new when I watch you play. Honestly for your vods do what you believe is right for you there will always be a split and can't please everyone. Choose what you want for your channel
Found your channel when Cammy uploaded the video titled something like “When I channel 1% of EpicDefender’s power.” I don’t personally watch the streams. Just watch the clip/highlight montages on youtube but you could consider posting stream VODs to a secondary channel so it doesn’t wreck the main channel
I loved your clip compilations bc is what keeps me entertained personally. I don't really care if they're edited or not i just love watching clip comps.
I appreciate the fact that you're taking the time to ask your audience what interests them instead of being the content creator that's like "this is what I'm doing whether you like it or not." Much love and I think whatever you decide, you'll have a following that backs you.
I found you through playing one of the hardest trials games of my life against you. I saw your stream on guardian theater, been a fan ever since I saw your playstyle
Personally I mostly watch the highlights videos, not shorts or Vods or streams, but that's just the format I enjoy best. I think it's also because I know those highlights videos are the best handpicked moments that you decided were worth showing off in the edit so I know the video will be worth me watching till the end. Whereas the streams/Vods have a lot of downtime which is obviously fine since they're Live, but not what I'm personally on UA-cam for.
can't wait to see more content. I don't have any input because I don't have the free time to check in live. So I just catch video uploads. I don't care about video quality.
Montages with music and stuff is good, BUT only if you ENJOY making them. If its gonna burn you out of content creation, then no-editing is fine. I think I'd enjoy hearing more of your opinions about the balancing of the game. Maybe in-depth look at other builds in the game and what their strengths and weaknesses. Like you gave us your perspective on the tuning of certain builds that you face in the game, Wallah-style, but with actual depth. Like "hey today we're going to be examining the PvP viability of X build" could even give it a mactics rating system like "dueling, combo, aggression, etc
Love your videos. I often share them with my friends. I’d probably watch any D2 PvP content you upload. Re uploading entire streams and that messing with the algorithm, Datto usually uploads his streams to a second channel. Just in case you wanna consider it.
im no fighting lion main barely a newbie, but i think the reason you play on intuition us because fighting lion is a playstyle that takes a while to just learn, the bankshots, the maps, (like that one time you shot downward instead right in front of you just to make the blast radius hit the ape coming at you) its just ideas that work, that you build up over time and become confident in but i may be wrong and just rambling
I like 3v3 gameplay, no music overlay required for me, just solid competitive games, however i’m not a FL user so i’d probs not invest heavily as a viewer on your longer content. I appreciate your wild clips when they pop up because its epic to watch, but not something i’d watch in a longer format at because its not as relevant to me, wouldnt miss the 3 hour vods
I'm an average lurker. A long while ago, I went from using the Fighting Lion alone to three GLs, inspired by your gameplay. I recently got a Fifth Horseman with three GLs on Strand titan! It's been a lot of fun, and I thank you for your videos. However, if your focus leaves UA-cam or I can no longer watch your raw gameplay without paying or going elsewhere, I just won't watch anymore. Montages don't showcase realistic gameplay, and most PvPers only have their best plays on their channel. Take from that what you will, but good luck with whatever you decide.
Glad you're enjoying the Fighting Lion Scott! I get your sentiment and the reason I made this video was to hear specifically from people like you. Even if worst case scenario I stop streaming on YT 1080p in favor of shorts or if the VODs become sub only I will still try and upload raw gameplay through formats such as my solo flawless videos. I know there are a lot of people who enjoy the uncut stuff and like to pay attention to small details in top level player's gameplay and I want to make sure I continue to provide that no matter what decisions I make in regards to my streams.
That is it right there. They'll pull something awesome outta their sleeves here in several weeks or so to make us all love it again and the cycle will continue lol
That really is how it goes Matt. I wanted to wait to make this video until they addressed future plans because I've never subscribed to the constant "Game is Dead" or "Bungie is Cooking" philosophy the community always has. People love to exaggerate things, so I like to try and see things for how they are in the moment giving criticism and praise where needed.
If i ever watch anyone stream, its on twitch. I rarely if ever see streams on youtube, and its rare/not always that youtube tells me whoever im subbed to is live streaming. Regarding montages etc, i prefer raw gameplay over the overdited montages. At this point everyone is trying to get your attention and keep you glued with over edited dopamine hitting shit. Its nice just watching with game sound and maybe you talking
Understood I definitely get that viewpoint and you're not alone in that opinion. Some people like the raw gameplay and I want to make sure that I keep uploading that consistently. I do want to experiment with small differences over the next few months, but if you feel like any of those videos go too far from what you've come to expect then be sure to let me know.
You should absolutely look into simulcasting since you don’t want to alienate the UA-cam audience and also grow the twitch channel, also it might be a good idea to make a vod channel specifically for vods, just throwing my two cents out there
I've been doing the multistream through Streamlabs for Twitch/YT at the same time but from what I understand the shorts vs 1080p UA-cam is something that they don't offer. I'll contact support tonight and see what they have to say about the matter. A 2nd channel is also something I've been considering, although I'm not sure if only VODs is enough content by itself. It's definitely a good shout though thanks for your feedback!
Is hard because there's no new maps, content and d2 is crowded with streams, so implementing the paywall is understandable but not many can keep investing not in your content, in the game when theres nothing really really new. But hey cheers
Yeah I'm currently doing that with Multistream, the problem is more streaming UA-cam and UA-cam Shorts at the same time. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in the video.
I currently use streamlabs multistream but from what I understand I have to choose between UA-cam mobile live and UA-cam 1080p live. I might be mistaken though so I'll contact support about it tonight.
Keep the SHORTS stream, then also have the twich stream. DO UPLOAD VODS, but NOT ON THIS CHANNEL. Make a separate channel for it. Members only vods is a good idea. Thank you for your videos.
I watch you casually - when the algorithm puts youtube shorts on my feed or I see you on twitch, I will hop in briefly. If you go subscribed/followers only, I will just stop watching as much, I guess….. I, the casual watcher, will not pay for it. It is NOT personal, I am a big fan of your play style and content, but I do not go in deep engagement for a pvp mode that is decaying in a slowly dying game. The topic/genre is just not that interesting at this time. You wanted my opinion, there it is. Nothing but respect for you though - I wish you success.
NOOOO WHY WOULD YOU QUIT
Like it so people freak out
The main attractor is the fact that you’re mainly calm and collected, and you roll with the blows of the pvp community, improving your craft in game and in content creation. No matter what choice you make, I think you’ll do fine in terms of the youtube or twitch side of things.
Thanks man I'm glad to hear that's the impression I put out. Appreciate the kind words and the support!
Found the channel through YT Shorts.

Will do man, thanks for the continued support!

I needed feedback like this thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!

i love the honesty, and i will watch regardless when i get the time

For me its the timing and placement of the FL that is find so hard to understand and land. Love your content keep it bro!
I just love tbe way you do your content not trying to do any bs just to lump more videos out. No mater where you stream i will lurk around
Thanks Pat, I'll keep em coming!
Found your channel when Cammy uploaded the video titled something like “When I channel 1% of EpicDefender’s power.”
I don’t personally watch the streams. Just watch the clip/highlight montages on youtube but you could consider posting stream VODs to a secondary channel so it doesn’t wreck the main channel
That's a common theme I've been hearing from y'all. A 2nd channel might be the best idea as it stands
I loved your clip compilations bc is what keeps me entertained personally.
I don't really care if they're edited or not i just love watching clip comps.
If you quit I’d defo never go back, your shorts are the only destiny content I still watch. So keep the satisfying content going.
I appreciate the fact that you're taking the time to ask your audience what interests them instead of being the content creator that's like "this is what I'm doing whether you like it or not." Much love and I think whatever you decide, you'll have a following that backs you.

I got so baited by the title xd my heart sank for a moment
I mean
No one ever quits truly outside of D2 launch.
Everyone will be back in time for Apollo.
Finally someone who feels the same as me

@@Epicdefender758 I could be wrong I’m not 100 percent sure
Keep the SHORTS stream, then also have the twich stream.
