I’m glad I found your video!! I’m excited to begin this project over my Labor Day weekend! One of my first mods that I did to my ‘22 Silverado was the knee bolster aux switches install. So far I have 4/5 used up and this light bar will be my 5th. I plan on installing the RC curved 2row 40” light bar. Hopefully I can use the same mounting point and mount it where both rows of lights aren’t completely obstructed by the grille. So far, my switches control a ZFlash module, LED footwell & underglow lights, fog lights (non factory), and glove box & under-seat storage compartment lights. I’ve been contemplating on freeing up the glove & storage box aux switch, by figuring out a way to tap into the main dome light switch. That way, when I push the button that turns on all of the dome lights, my glove box and under seat storage box lights turn on as well.
@@gohangan that all sounds very well thought out man!! If you have a center console, sometimes you can find some room underneath there to hide wiring and switches too or just 1 of those 2 glove boxes probably works as well That’s awesome though. Sounds like you’ll be having some clean wiring for all the lights To date, my lights have been perfect so far where its been mounted
Cool I would of added some jam nuts and washers against the light bar bolts unless you did hard to see In the video got two of these trucks wants to some different ways for light bar mounts 👍
That was my idea, i just didn't know where exactly to put it in there since it has sticky tape. i like that i dont need to drill a hole like the rigid ones
Not enough Money and Too many toy's. I respect that you don't want to mess up the aesthetics of the Interior of the Truck. Is there a reason you did not use the Factory provided Grommet in the engine compartment to under the dash to run wiring? Also Auxbeam offers a fantastic 6, 8, 12 button Switch controller, good looking and then No more wires to the interior, wires to the Controller Box in the Engine bay. Auxbeam also provides a APP for your phone to control all the switches and if you use one of the AI Android Boxes, you can have all the switches display on the Factory Dash Display. Very neat.
At this present time, I use the Rough country but that’s currently what I’m running right now. This Rough country light bar is gone exhilarate box for all of the switches. I also upgraded to the rigid light bar for the front as well. I need to do a follow-up
Looks great, I would purchase the knee bolster with the OEM aux buttons for a clean install, and you fan add more accessories if needed, like a rugged radio or if you go with an evil manufacturing third break light with the baja lights incorporated in it
That was what i wanted to do. Have you seen the install videos on that though? lol. i will do it but i have so many projects right now that i am putting it off for now. it requires removing the entire dash basically to just get the knee bolster off. I have also thought about cutting mine and sticking the switch in there for now until i did everything to rip it all apart. undecided. just looked like another day of work lol. i think that video will come next year for sure though. i like the clean look.
@@americanduramax the only reason I have not purchased the knee bolster for mine is because of the videos I have seen where you have to take everything apart! It does not look fun. I had the Switch Pros on my 2018 1500 mounted between the USB and AC outlet under the radio, I was thinking about doing that as well, but no one makes a replacement kit for that piece…. Yet. I agree I like keeping everything as factory looking as possible. My next project is adding the rearview camera mirror, and the evil manufacturing third brake light, and adding the AUX switches. I will probably do it all at once. Your rig looks sweet! Eventually I will add all the Banks products you have. I am currently waiting for them to be able to ship their intakes into CA (which is weird being manufactured in Azusa), and them having a replacement A pillar with the pod mounts built into it.
@@danielsaballos1372 yeah knee bolster is what sucks to put on. wasnt like that on the 15-19 trucks. Just getting that CARB rating. I just sent out the ones i finally got. if you can wait 4-6 weeks, snag one off my website and I'll get you an intake buddy. I plan on adding the rearview camera to my 2021 LM2 LT Duramax too. excited to get that added on.

Nick, what the the purpose of the air shutters, is that a Chevy thing because I don’t think I have them on my 22 GMC That Light Bar looks awesome and is blinding bright 👍
I think some trucks didn't have it because of the constraints but they were supposed to. The Air Shutters keep air from coming in and create a better air flow since the truck doesn't have air getting lost in the engine bay and makes the truck more aerodynamic. They constantly open and close
Thank you! and no i didn't and will not. the motor is functional and is not unplugged so it doesn't know what's on the other end of the plastic mechanism. you could remove them all and have no issue as long as the motor is still plugged in. hope that helps
The Banks mods are much better than Wherli ; Banks actually tests them and has data behind it. Wherli has openly said they just make pipes and parts under the hood that " look cool ".
Do you think the rough country double row light bar would fit too? Its overall measurement is 43” instead of the 41.625” of the single row. From the video it looks like there is plenty of room and i don’t have the shutters to worry about
Yeah that would work for sure; mine felt slightly too small and the bolts had to be longer to fit right there. 43 should be perfect. Just keep in mind where you place it and depending what grill you have etc. i would have went double row but it would have blocked much of the light by the grill since the grill opening was just barely larger than the single row if that makes sense.
It would fit as well but likely more trimming to the grill shutters if you have them. the curve helps bring it away from the grill shutters and hugs in inside of the grill

That's pretty slick! I'm doing a video on a Baja spare tire mount for my matching spare for my 2023HD. Should be done with it Saturday.

@@danielsaballos1372 I just put the OEM outfitter switch in my 2022 duramax wasn't all that bad. Did get some minor scrapes on my knuckles.
What kind of amber lights do you have on your grille?

Does the light bar have to be curved? I have a 42” Diode Dynamics bar and was wondering if it would fit. Any thoughts?

Yes I wish I had a double row but in the placement i have it in, it wouldn't throw more light unfortunately
