    Great review!! I am curious about this IEM. But seems like not many people like it's tuning. But most of the times I preffer different tunings than others haha (low pinna gain and more mid bass). My library is very specific. That's why i LOVE Campfire Andromeda. Is it worth to get the Nightingale, having the Andromeda?

    • @donglemadness
      @donglemadness  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks, after this video was released, the different tuning of Nightingale has grown into me. So much so that the dominance of usage for IEMs rotation is now held by this sweet-sounding Nightingale. I actually use it more than anything else I owned, for the immersion and forward sounding Mids. yes it does not follow the trend nowadays, which favors heavily into Harman curve, but for what it does, given proper time with it, Nightingale is just special. I can guarantee you, Nightingale is different from the Andromeda, having Nightingale is like giving yourself an opportunity to experience something different

    Very interesting that nightingale tuning (you were often smiling away!). For metal music and Diana kraal jazz vocalists and OST orchestra would this be perfect? More importantly, can fc6 drive it, excellently if i get one of those 3.5 to 4.4 adapters? Someone is offering me at "very good price" ( i have to get back to him to find out exactly how much!) . Thought I shall check with you if this nightingale still holds up good.

    • @donglemadness
      @donglemadness  7 місяців тому +2

      Let me warn you, Nightingale tuning is DIFFERENT, it is the sort of sound that grows into you when you use it more. Nightingale does not follow the trend. But yes, I am smiling still as I use my Nightingale more and more over all other IEMs I have, the immersion and velvety smoothness is about the closest I can get from what I heard from Shure KSE1500, my TOTL reference. Diana Krall and Metal are both my staple music, so yes Nightingale sings with them mind blowingly well. Have you watched my 2023 closure video? Then you would know where Nightingale stand on my overall standings of 58 IEMs I tested in 2023.
      And of course FC6 drives Nightingale, pretty damned good, it is my go-to dongle for everything, FC6 drives 3x harder and more demanding planars of Fostex T40RP MK3 and Sundara with ease, Nightingale is super easy in comparison for FC6

    • @Crashboomwallop
      @Crashboomwallop 7 місяців тому +1

      Oh great. And somehow I have missed that year Ender video, will check. And Metal, Diana kraal type jazz vocalists (half expected you to shriek out Allison krauss in this review too:-)), and OST orchestral/classical are my favs. Could be a nice different set to the aful P8, Fan2, hd660s2, I have and like. Great to know that fc6 drives it well. Pity about just 4.4, but I guess those adaptors are available for not much. Intrigued by your observations on nightingale. Now let me see how much is the discount:-) thanks Andy

    Nightingale vs Origin? For metal/post-rock and a bit of gaming

    • @donglemadness
      @donglemadness  2 місяці тому +1
