Why didn't you mention the part where max's mom discovers he's gone at the hotel in Japan and mention how she yells at her relatives for leaving him behind but also mentions the interesting parts like how that red headed guy suggests to call the neighbors and she says they don't know the neighbors since they've only been in the house for a week and everyone that they know is back in London or how Stu who's in the bathroom doing his business suggests just call the house and max's mom says we don't have a land line nobody uses a landline anymore this isn't the 90s That was my favorite part in this horrible version so if I may ask why not mention that part?
Also one part would have been interesting I wish when max comes to stay with the family After he discovers he's home alone After they bring max home their son recognizes him and max recognizes their son and the boy says hey I know you you're the boy from the church that told me your parents left you behind and the parents yell Say what You knew he was home alone the whole time you never told us why didn't you say anything and their son says you never asked and you never talked to us you didn't tell us you were selling the house.
This movie to me is like the last Indiana Jones. I will watch people on YT tear it to pieces, while also simultaneously ignoring its very existence.

I SHOULD Never be touched!! But people are greedy and don’t understand that! They don’t understand Why something is classic. There are jokes that are “timeless”.. and then there are jokes that sooo many movies do now that are too… current and by the time the movie comes out the jokes aren’t funny anymore

I hated this film its so bad and grotesque.
If I hadnt seen JoJo rabbit I'd be shitting on the child actor but its obvious he was working with a stanky ass script here because he is amazing in JoJo. But honestly what is with the god awful dialogue they give this kid?
This film is a confusing mess. Im supposed to hate the kid right? I dont know, but I did not enjoy watching a down on her luck tiny fragile mother get set on fire.

Well, I'm super late, but I do feel your pain. I honestly believe comedy is the hardest genre. You see, while audiences seem to be forgiving of dramatic films that reuse plot elements and character identities from film to film, audiences immediately notice when the same gag or comic situation is reused.
For writers, (the good ones), the challenge of coming up with fresh and smart gags is the fuel that keeps them writing. However, in this case, we are reviewing the work of Streeter Seidell

You’re totally right about people being more lenient on dramatic films! And I know comedy can be subjective, but sometimes, I really wonder Who people are writing for these days.
It makes total sense that those writers just wanted to cash a paycheck to do the project that they Actually want to make.. which is a whole other issue in the industry, because then we’re left with all these half assed movies that even the people working on them don’t care about :/
@@JenniferMcD You hit the nail on the head. You see, thanks to the pandemic, streaming exploded. However, the funny thing about streaming is that your service is only as good as your fresh content. That explains why products like the one you're reviewing exist. Streaming companies break their obscene budget between premium content and the relatable / non-premium content like this one, and (*cough), Sex, Love and Goop, Yes Day, Thunder Force, (*cough). Is like locking monkeys inside the writing room and let them throw crap against the wall to see what sticks. So, yeah, they have a budget for that...

Honestly…. I haven’t watched it yet because I really worry about that one. Feels like yet another cash grab at our nostalgia, and they don’t even have Laurence Fishburne or Hugo Weaving so… Not off to a great start
