Love the layout of this boat! Well designed to feel very spacious. ⚓🛥 Thanks for sharing. 🧡🍁🦃HAPPY TURKEY DAY to both of you & your families. 🦃🍁🧡 we are all thankful for your wonder channel & your great humor too!!
The White smooth lines of the exterior looks easy to maintain for 🎣 fishing. (I 💕🎣) The neutral tones of the interior remind me of a Sandy beach. Galley is perfect for fiddling around in where no one can see the mess. 😜=🥂🦐🥪🌮🍻🌭 Single shower.✔️ Fly bridge with forward seating, to easily dock either Bow or Aft. Bow Main Cabin.✔️ I would love this in the inter-coastal waters off of Florida's Atlantic Coast. Great Video Tour! 💫 ✌️🌊💙🎣🤘⚓🛥️
Years ago, drivers, especially sports car drivers used gloves to get a better grip on the wheel when driving especially on twisting roads! Many steering wheels yrs ago were not wrapped as they are now. The surface on the old wheels would be slippery especially in warm weather! Your usual great job! No pressure but waiting for episode 5 of Nautiguys!😂
The cute banter between you two is what I appreciate most about your channel, please don't ever change. Also, Ricco's Dad jokes are pretty funny, I think anyway...
That's a really nice sized and practical galley for this size boat! The separate shower is SO much better than cramming in wetheads (I HATE wetheads!). Nice boat 😊
@@NautiStyles The nice thing about wet heads is that the whole toilet area can be cleaned SO easily after a shower, so it is ALWAYS clean. So there's that!
I used to wear lightweight leather gloves in Florida during the summer when driving. Now that I'm back in Michigan it's insulated gloves for 9 months of the year. Very nice live-aboard that could also do the Loop, and it wouldn't take a huge Jack-pot win to own!
@@NautiStyles These were essentially golf gloves, just enough to protect the palm and fingers from roasting on the steering wheel. Just a single layer of thin leather. Not like today, 2 layers of INSULATED gloves, boots, a flannel shirt, insulated jeans and a down filled long coat over long underwear. Our high temperature was 27 degrees Fahrenheit.
@@michiganengineer8621 LoL.Ditto on the gloves.Handlebars get either molten hot or frozen quickly, plus the fall danger.Rode in the wind for a 1/2 hr today.Yikes.Would rather be headed down the rivers to Fla.(mid-MI. here)
Another nice, practical yacht. I wouldn't have a problem owning this one. BTW Victoria, you looked amazing in this video. I loved your outfit, hair, and makeup.
"Another nice, practical yacht. I wouldn't have a problem owning this one." If house and mortgage interest rates remain high (almost 8% now) -- or even go higher (!) -- a lots of us "wouldn't have a problem, owning one" (or a Class A motor-home): WAY cheaper than homes presently. -- BR
As you stated this would be a great comfortable way for a single or a couple to live aboard. The only knowledge which was not mentioned is the range of distance on full fuel. I'm starting to look into a live aboard vessel back in Florida, tragically on November 15, my 30 foot motorhome caught fire from a heater unit, destroying the motorhome and in horror taking the lives of my 4 dogs, I tried saving them but could not get through the smoke and flames. In less than10 minutes time it was engulfed in flames. I am grateful for all your videos and constant sharing of knowledge, and ask that you (Victoria and Rico) speak of how very important fire suppression systems are as well as fire extinguishers always within reach. God bless you all!...
@Jim B I'm SOOOOOO SORRY! SO Sorry... material stuff can be replaced, but the loss of loved ones 🥺💔💔💔 Your heart must be broken... our hearts are with you. Hope your dogs get to meet our "little men" up there, we miss them everyday
@@NautiStyles Thank you so very much, as it still doesn't seem real. Please, both you and Rico stay safe in all your travels and may God always keep you blessed!.. Prayers for you both in your new adventure and yacht!
Always like you guys videos I'm just anxious to see something new from your other channel we want to see what your boat's going to look like when it's complete
Fun video! Your banter was especially lively on this one... It was nice to see that the overhead hatch in the master cabin was well placed to open if extra room is needed for...acrobatics. 😎
I could see this is a liveaboard if I was super into fishing and was willing to trade some interior space to accommodate it. I like the removable panels on the fly bridge, and the arrangement of the head and shower is pretty smart.
I have a Silverton convertible sport fish. I chose the sport fish over the aft/motor yacht because, I did want to deal with the steps to the cockpit. I go from the salon to the cockpit right through the sliding glass door….. I’ve never had a piece of bunker on my sport fish lol……
I use driving gloves when I'm in the desert off-roading with my Jeep. It keeps my palms from chafing, which is surprisingly a big deal. At the end of the day my hands don't hurt, and that's huge.
My father-in-law preferred to wear gloves while driving, not because of the cold, but because he had a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and without gloves the oils and acids from his hands would (over time) degrade and discolor the leather.
One comment you guys made that fit this boat perfectly, “Almost like a real saltwater fishing boat…” This is a nice she-she boat with nice lines to show off for your friends, but obviously the owners were not interested in fishing the big blue when they bought it. Nice for the golf and cocktail set though.
Silverton has always made exceptional boats, I’m just saying that convertibles have always been the thoroughbreds of the sport fishing world. They are the strong, masculine statement of going toe to toe with the monstrous predators of the blue water kingdom.
Great video! We’ve had 2 of these 42 Silverton over the years. One correction on your video: The tanks on the outboard sides of both port & starboard engines are water tanks, 100/each totaling 200 gallons. The fuel tanks are under the cockpit sole accessible under the cockpit hatch if you were to pull out the insert “fish box”. Twin tanks give a total of 524 gallons. With the 480hp Volvo’s we got around .75 MPG & with the 430hp Cummins about .9 MPG. The Volvos cruised faster, but used more fuel.
Thanks for another good video . People wore gloves whilst driving back in the day because we didn't have power steering and it took a good grip and at low speeds it could be rough on the hands.
@@NautiStyles I can spot it a mile away, been there many times. You powered through because you love what you do. This is the stuff of life, the day to day, accepting life as you pass through it and making the best of it for yourselves and others, a noble and under appreciated feat. Love you both!
And then the Canadian viewers laughed. And laughed and laughed. Lol love your channel! I don't have a heated steering wheel and sometimes in -10 to-20°c (or worse depending on location) I like my gloves for 15-20 mins untill she's nice and warm. Nice boat, Pacific NorthWest worthy vessel. It takes a different kind of boat here sometimes.
When I drive my VW Baja Bug off road I use Gloves, It is manual steering and manual shift, no A/C and it will tear up your hands from the hard surfaces to the heat built up in all the metal parts. Also older cars did not have the big padded steering wheels and A/C like they do today. Older cars had metal spokes in the wheel and hard thin rim either plastic or wood. Most older cars did not have A/C in them so when you touched your Hot Steering Wheel and Metal gearshift knob it would burn your hands in the summer. If you remember back in the 70's the lace on perforated steering wheel raps were vary popular in areas that were very hot in the summer.
Not wearing gloves in this video, but you can see me lick the blood of my hands from driving :) :) :) This is from 1998 and was a long time ago. Look how young I was. ua-cam.com/video/9o1evs79roo/v-deo.html

When I was a kid I always thought sportfishers were the coolest of all the yachts... this one is the perfect size and in really good condition! I'm sure it will not be on the market for long.
Regarding wearing gloves when driving: I live in Phoenix, during the summer I will wear gloves when I drive if I forgot to put my sunscreen up. All to avoid the "surface of the sun" hot steering wheel.
