  • A fellow of magnificent character and unwavering conviction...the man on the white horse...Ronald Reagan...greatest leader & lover in modern American history...A realist and an optimist.
"On the evening of 27 October 1964, Ronald Reagan delivered a nation-wide paid political telecast on behalf of the presidential candidacy of Barry Goldwater. His presentation was so forceful and engaging that Reagan, hitherto little considered a political figure, became overnight a political force..."

Ronald Reagan on October 1964 "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness." These words are so true today, Socialism is back again

Reagan was the last great president and the greatest of the 20th century. Sadly, we don't have someone capable of or willing to step up and become the greatest of THIS century.

Love Reagan BUT he gave this speech about a year after the Cuban Missile crisis - Kennedy was a liberal Democrat who was willing to go to war with the Soviet union if they did remove those tactical nuclear missiles from Cuba. So this meaningless speech did nothing for Barry Goldwater and he lost, but it made Reagan a superstar.

Jefferson was a slave owner as all farmers were back then, but he freed his slaves before finishing the Declaration. Lincoln freed all slaves which most Democrats still despise to this day. Reagan took us from the brink of Carters failures and made us great again. . . sadly only to have Obama throw us over the edge now. . . God and Jesus you ask . . . I give thanks every day for theyre on my side in this mess!!

+Andrew E You are a remarkable imbecile. You bring new dimensions to moron. I am amazed your knuckles are able to tap on that keyboard. Or, did you minder do it for you? Just after she cleaned your jobbie?
Here is what he said. Not that it will help you much since you seem to understand very little except; hot, cold, thirsty, hungry.
"Admittedly, there's a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson of history tells
us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal
friends refuse to face -- that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no
choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate,
continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand -- the ultimatum. And
what then -- when Nikita Khrushchev has told his people he knows what our answer will be? He
has told them that we're retreating under the pressure of the Cold War, and someday when the
time comes to deliver the final ultimatum, our surrender will be voluntary, because by that time
we will have been weakened from within spiritually, morally, and economically. He believes this
because from our side he's heard voices pleading for "peace at any price" or "better Red than
dead," or as one commentator put it, he'd rather "live on his knees than die on his feet." And
therein lies the road to war, because those voices don't speak for the rest of us.
You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at
the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin -- just in
the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under
the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots at Concord Bridge have
thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard 'round the world? The martyrs of
history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the
Nazis didn't die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it's a simple answer after all."

    • @anderivative
      @anderivative 8 років тому +1

+Jim Parsons why did you start off with a slew of hatred? Christ was for peace at any cost, remember. I know it's not simple to understand or to act, but we can try. Don't be filled with such vitriol. Shit.

    • @_j_dog

Andrew E that is incorrect, let me help you with a direct quote from Jesus own words: “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it."
      Matthew 10:34‭-‬39 NKJV
