Great stuff, as usual! Nice recap of 2023 for Nikon. Just note that while the 600mm 6.3 is not officially called '600pf' by Nikon, it is, in fact, a Phase Fresnel Lens. It says so prominently on the body under the focal length and aperture.
I'm confused. I thought the 600 f6.3 is a PF lens. In the picture shown, it says phase fresnel on the lens.
Great year for Nikon (and Kon and Becky.) Expensive year for me.
just sold all my Canon RF and went to Nikon. Nikon Z8 + Zf, Z 14-24 F2,8, Z 135 F1.8, Tamron 35-150 + 40mm 2.0 & 28mm F2.8 very happy (thinking of 400mm F4.5 and 105 Macro...)
I sold my Z6 and Z7 to get the Zf 40mm kit and I don't regret it. The Zf kit is very unobtrusive for street photography and improved autofocus tracking compared to the Z6/7 really helps.. The native grip work's with my 14-30, 50 f1.8 or 85 f1.8 and Smallrig's grip handles the 400 4.5. Well done Nikon!

I dont have any expectations from 2024. Nikon Zf has every single thing I can expect from a camera.
I just want the Zf in a contemporary body, with a Z6III or Z5II written on the side.
2023 has been an outstanding year for Nikon. Two new mirrorless cameras, several lenses, with new technology released and under development. Here’s hoping 2024 is equally exciting!
I’m sooo happy with my ZF and Plena! Just traded in all the rest of my F-mount lenses, and took advantage of the promotion and finished off my Z-mount quiver with the 85 1.8! Great year for me and Nikon! Love the content and see y’all next year!
This year I purchased the Z8, ZF, Tamron Z 35-150, Z 24-120, Z 14-30, and the Z 28/40 SE combo. Needless to say I'm going to survive on rice and beans for the foreseeable future 😅 Looking to purchase the Viltrox 27 and 75 F1.2 combo next year for event work on my Z9 and Z8 as my F-mount sigmas are too heavy. Gonna go lean in 2024 before waiting to see what Nikon cooks up in 2025. Thanks for all the great content Becky and Kon! Looking forward to your reunion in future videos.

Actually I did walk into my local camera shop and bought a 180-600 off the shelf last week. An amazing lens.

This was the year I finally traded in the last of my DSLR/F mount gear and went Full Mirrorless. I bought my first full frame Z mount (a Z5). I've been very happy with that purchase, but I still use my trusty "old" (3 years now!) Z50 most of the time, so three of my lens purchases were for that camera. The DX 24/1.7, DX 12-28 PZ, and the 26/2.8. Although the 26 is full frame, I use it only on the Z50. Amidst all the excitement surrounding rumours and releases of ever bigger and more expensive full frame cameras, I've been hoping for a Z50II. Perhaps in the New Year.
Is Nikon 70-180 not a good buy now because it's based on Tamron 70-180 G1 and they release G2 version with stabilisation already?

Just received the 50mm f1.2 - very much looking forward to putting it through it's paces in low light. So tempted by the 135 Plena - but have to behave !

Got my Z8 saved $1500 and spent that on Z180-600mm excellent year for me.

Hello Both, I do believe that Nikon did an amazing job over 2023, it the lenses and cameras that they realised. One other good point is the way that they handle the recalls of the Z8 very quickly and the turn around time was amazing. As to the firmware realise which has made the Z9 like a new camera anding new features for no cost. I have tried the 600mm f6.3 that a friend has and I must say it is even better than my 500mm pf. So when I have save up in 2024 Grays will be getting an order from me. Just like to say thank you to Becky for her years of youtube content and wish her luck with her next steps. The scary thing is I have been using for 45+ years and finding out that they are just getting better and better.
This year I got the Z8, ZF, 35-150, and the 50 1.2. 😅
Nikon had a fantastic year! Would like to see Nikon give Sigma license to manufacture the Art lenses for the Z mount in 2024. I finished 2023 with a new Nikon Zf with the 40mm f/1.2. I am enjoying the look and feel of this camera. And I have yet to dive into all its possibilities.
I might shift to a used sony A1 because the z8 is big and heavy. Unless the z6iii comes out with a 30mp+ censor, I'm planning to shift to the A1. Let's see if the z6iii is compact and higher res than 24mp.
Great year for me and I hope for you too. I picked up a Z9 and it does what I want, which is mostly wildlife, including my wild dogs. The autofocus is wonderful.

Bought the Z8 and 180-600 this year, love them. Not really the light here in the UK now to use the latter but I plan to do a lot with it next year

Any news on the 35mm z lens that was on the roadmap??
I like the Nikon Z8 but it is to large and to expensive for me. It would be great if a smaller 33MP or more camera about 2.5-3.5 K$ camera with the same AF in a smaller form factor. Also, some of the lenses would get more compact updates without vignetting more. The 14-30 needs an update for corrections that it needs. Some 1.4 or 1.2 wide lenses would be nice. However, the 1.2 lenses they did release are great but large (50, 85, 135). We now still miss the 24, 35, and perhaps a 14, 20, and 28 in either 1.4 or 1.2. A macro lens with 50/60 2.0/2.8 would be nice as well.
Oh yeah! I totally forgot about the black Zfc. Seems even sillier they did that now that we know the Zf would come out the same year 😮
So thankful for all of the great information about Nikon bodies and lenses from Kon and Becky❤. Finally scored my copy of the Z600mmf4TC. It is a truly amazing lens. Happy New Year 🎉
Hoping to swing a 180-600mm upgrade from my 200-500mm Fmount lenses. I usually buy used and I'm not sure there will be any used ones available this year.
