Yesss,,,I discovered the same,,,,Another thing I tried is: Emaj7 (play C# dorian or eolian) Dbmaj7 (play Db ionian) If you analize this two chords, you basically think minor and then mayor of the same tonic,,,in this case C# or Db,,,,Once you have this, move one tone below for the next two chords, and another one tone below for the next two chords
Well...G minor pentatonic over that Bb7 technically is the only one really where leaving out the b7 Ab has a feeling of loss of the true harmony of the tune. But it works cause the rules of symmetry with with every pAttern before it going down in half steps
Great and helpful mini-lesson! I had some problems to solve these fast chord-changing in this interesting standard, really it seems minor pentatonics it is the best choice, practical, comfortable and effective! thanks very much!
i might do this - im thinking of picking up the horn again for this and bolivia. thank you Lukas!
@@onesyphorus that makes me happy! It’s all about having fun with it 😊🙌👍

Very nice shortcut! Definitely want to eventually dig deeper into the bridge or it ends up sounding a bit contrived. But thank you, great advice!!!!

Robert Gray hey! Sorry for the delay! It’s an RS Berkeley Legends Series. If you’re interested in trying one let me know please.
Which one? They're expensive!!
Robert Gray the potter one. I can get you a deal if you’re interested.
As simple as brilliant the same way..
Many thanks!
