I tried your technique on a number i was trying to divide for work and didn't work. Please solve using your method : 589500÷7 (the first addition is a double digit and using your technique my number should start with 6...but it's incorrect ; let me know thanks
I have figured out how to do this with base other than 9. Think of base 10 for a minute. all you do is carry the numbers down... wrong! You do the same method but multiplying the bottom numbers by zero and then add the top number. Now for base 9 we have been multiplying by one... actually this is 10-9=1. So 10-base=multiplier. This is pretty hard to explain in words but hopefully this puts someone on the right track. :)
In the video you showed (with 9 -- The second video with remainders), what do we do with those remainders? Just keep them or what? I am using this tricks for chemistry where such a vast error is not allowed! Please Help.

you should make an update to this video...you can cut your work even more if you realized that when at the beginning you were adding the 4+6, bcuz that creates a #>10, you could have changed the 4 to a 5 immediately and used the 5 instead of the 4 but this time you don't have to worry about the carry....so 5 + 6 is just a 1 now and proceed as normal
29747 2 // +11 31 // +18 328 // +22 2+8 = 10 22 is now only 2 so it goes after the 0 3302 // 31/9 = 3 with a remainder 3305.2 // i thought it was a different remainder, oh well

It only works with nines as the number you are dividing by. He says nowhere in the video or desc that it is only for nines. IK it sucks

Oh, I got it! I just divided the remainder by 9 and then, I wrote the answer (that came in decimal to the actual quocient)

It doesn’t work on other numbers. What is 162/7? 1+6=7,7+2=9 the answer is not 79. 5427/7=? It’s not 105.4
