Watching this to gather the motivation to paint my own place myself!
I know exactly what I want in my future home. White walls everywhere, but the pops of color come from canvases/other wall decor and other furniture pieces around the home.
Regarding your question about 5he stairs and the different colors, I’d say paint it as you see it from down stairs. I’m a big fan of white walls, base, crown molding. It’s the new look so “they” say.

Love the white - you could always do a darker trim on the staircase to give some contrast. We are about to paint the inside of our place white to so I am using this as motivation! haha

I would paint the one wall going up the steps, just the back wall and left the wall you can't see. Just to the top of the steps. Job well done!
Do white for that hallway stairs area, and do black for the stairs handles
I would change the light fitting to something with more user friendly replacement bulbs, would be cheaper in the long run.👍

Change the light fixtures, it will save you time for the other times replacing the bulbs and you'll be happier!

I would do the banister a dark grey or black
The yellow wall looks cool against the white
I own a painting Co in kansas city and i use an 18 inch roller, even for small bathroom jobs.....for less than hundred bucks, you can get the roller, bucket, and everything for the 18 inches with a good nap and rolling walls goes more than 2x as fast.

When we moved into our home in 2016, the previous owner had the entire house in white. I painted it again but with grey, not planning out properly the grey turned out too dark and just makes everything look dark, plus it has a purple tint which looks horrible in day time. Now im contemplating painting it all white again 🙄

Thank you so much! Unfortunately we didn’t paint the doors or trim and are t sure what the previous people used. It’s definitely a stark white though!
Does anyone else have this color in their home in a north facing space? My living room tends to turn certain light colors into purple or too blue. It has decent lighting and alabaster and dove white look good but have too much yellow for my liking. Tried pure white by sw but it’s too cool for my trim. I’ve heard snowbound is warmer but idk if it would look good. I’ve tried like 15 different colors and none of them have got me thinking this is the one.

I work at Sherwin-Williams and Snowbound contains a small amount of red to cancel out those blue/cool undertones but without using gold/yellow undertones to warm it up.
If Snowbound is still too cool for your liking you can try Marshmallow :)
So did u paint the trim and the walls with the same paint? I'm trying to figure out if thats something ppl do. I want n all white bathroom n I'm stumped

Over time, doesn't the white start to fade and yellow, or are you using a special paint for this purpose please? I do like it alot. Beautiful house yous have to. Thank you.

we bought this paint because it has black undertones! so far no yellow - it has more or a grey hint to it than a yellow/beige tip so maybe that's the key! And thank you so much :)

Are you glad you painted it all white? I'm buying a house that's currently magnolia and thinking about doing this. Either an almost white or Dulux rock salt which is very light grey with a grey or taupe feature wall in a couple of the rooms. I think my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy 🙈
Honestly I love it! It’s been like two months now since we’ve moved in and I’m super happy with it because I can change color schemes of the rooms whenever I want and even when the house is dirty it always kind of looks clean because of the white. I say try it out in one room! You can always change it if you end up not liking it 😊

Just change the lighting in the stair area. Less light. It's too harsh. Love the white. We are doing the same thing.
A airless spray painter would have save you alot of time but NICE JOB ❣️💯

I was told by a professional that white makes you nervous. Put just a hint of green in it. Notice I said hint.
luckily we picked a color that had grey and black undertones so its not like an asylum! haha its a small but noticeable difference between our color and the white trim
Satin will be much easier to wipe off marks!

Hey Lexy...I am bold and want different color walls and accents but my wife is wanting all white...Why did you decide on all white...and is every room including bathrooms all the same color
We decided on white because we can change decor anytime we want with little to consider! We did a blue accent wall in our bedroom and although i still love the way it looks I’ve wanted to change up the room a few times since but have been stuck to that blue color scheme which kind of sucks, it’s just a great base to add or take away any color furniture/decor you will want over the years!
Do white do white!!! You can always add an accent wall later!
