Both of you guitarists in the band have very fast, smooth and accurate strumming hands.
Equally as important, it's hard to zero-in to the guitars (which are awesome) when Matt starts to sing, Wow, what a great vocalist / lyricist songwriter.

I just thought of a way to promote Theocracy. Everyone who is a guitar player here. Learn as much Theocracy as you can. Go to your nearest Guitar Center et al, and play these songs. Most are going to say, "What is that?" Unfortunately, too many have never heard of this phenomenal collection of artists. We might even make a few more epic/melodic/prog/power/metal converts.
If we should ever see the day, that Theocracy's music gets saturated in the music biz, and among listeners. The worse that would come of this is a bunch of Theocracy (Val and Jon) clones. Some of these, in the future making better or equal music. Not too bad of plan would you say?

fooser77 You should hope that they don't have their music "saturated in the music biz" because if that happened chances are they would change their music and messages to fit the general public thus making them not genuine anymore.
I'm working on learning as much as I can now, but without the tabs its somewhat limiting. I'm working on tabbing this one out now. Are you on Theocracy's forum on Ultimate Metal Forum?

The strumming is so clean! Everything looks so effortless. Because of the coronavirus I'm picking up my guitar and I'm having trouble playing practically everything because my strumming is a little iffy. Great stuff!

+Songwriter4God On this specific video I'm running my Charvel San Dimas with a Tone Zone in the Bridge and an old but reliable Spider II Line 6. On the album I used a Spider IV Bogner Line 6 All Tube for ALL my lead parts w/ a custom digital tone that I built because that's one of the coolest features about this amp, its Tube but also digital so you can put virtual effects on it (even upload them through a computer). One of the sickest amps out there! For the Rhythms we used a Dimebag Darrell signature Krankenstein along w/ a JVM Marshall fused with a touch of Maxon od808 Overdrive pedal. Possibly a Dual Rectifier and a PeaVey 6505+ for some other parts. A lot of channel splitters as well ;) lol hope this helps haha

use a moderate amount of distortion, too much wont help. you just need to find a sweetspot. every note has three spots of different type of squeel. just keep at it. also i find it easier with jazz pics, thats all I play.

Ah, of course .. I hear ya .. I'm a tech geek in Texas .. Especially while living in Austin at employers IBM, CSC, and AT&T, I had my hair longer than in college .. It was not uncommon to see some techs/devs with hair down to their waist .. And some them actually musicians ..
