I am 81 years old and have only now found this remarkably gifted artist. Her stage presence is otherworldly. Throughout my life it has been music that so often moves me to make a change in my life. This song, more than any I can now recall, is a spiritual gift as my life nears its end. I cannot say that any human love has matched what Jennifer's song communicates about love. Bravo!!!

Yes, one of the best ever. She's one of the GOATs just for this alone even, and she also is the one who wrote it, so everyone else is just doing a cover. It's a true classic among classics to this day. I was around in the 80's myself but didn't fully appreciate this one till much later in life. She's a true national and global treasure.

Ah yes, 'The Power of Love' which she co-wrote, so it is her song, even though there have been many very good covers of it over the years, but with Jennifer's deeper strong voice, she wins every time.
Me too every since I heard the song played on my car radio back in 1985, which made the hairs on the back of my neck tingle, and getting stingy eyes too.
So I had to go into town to a record shop and bought either a cassette tape or CD to play on my car radio, a lot, when driving up and down a dual carriage way....:)
To me she is one of the few excellent singers since 1985 and onwards, so beyonkey and ririririririririri, this is how you sing, and will never be as good as Jennifer Rush......ever!

Very underrated singer .l listened to a lot of songs in the 80s but dont recall her other songs that she sang. I came from S Korea 1985 December 7th. I was home sick and hear her song oh my God I tear and she was my shelter, because her son I am still here in USA.
I was 5. Stuff like this for a kid was pure magic. You could say that this love ballad stuff isn't really relevant for a 5 year old, but for me, it was the most magical decade of music that shaped my creativity. It inspired me in ways that I couldn't have understood until later in life, when I became charged with the understanding of emotions, love and empathy; Some of the most powerful tools a writer, singer, actor or an artist could have.
