That's a big, a very large one too. The largest of all the rattlesnake species. We don't have them in my part of Alabama, just timber rattlesnakes.

Timbers can be pretty dangerous also!

What did you do with this one? You should include the follow-up of your captures when possible, people want to know. Also, get on TikTok!

It was released. I don't show many releases or talk about them much in detail because I only have a few legal release areas and need to protect land owners privacy. Release properties are hard to come by in our developed area.
      What is TikTok?

I wish land developers with choose locations other than piney flat woods to develop land, build infrastructure, homes, Publix supermarkets, etc. By the way, don't get bitten. I think that snake resents you picking it up like that. He's letting you know the way he's rattling his tail.

Many of the rattlesnakes I catch are agitated by the customers making a commotion before I get there. Normally without the commotion I can just gently hook them up and place in a container without any rattling. Unfortunately most buildable land in Florida is in their habitat.

@@TheTrapperGuy I read some of your other responses after I commented. That's great and obviously you know that's the right thing to do. Love nature. As for exotics invasives, I hope you destroy them. Peace out

I've seen several videos of you pinning large rattlesnakes. This is not only a dangerous practice for you, but the act of pinning large robust pit vipers can easily injure. You may not be aware, but it's regarded as foolish and amateurist to pin vipers without any direct need to do so. Putting yourself and the animal under undue stress and potential injury is unprofessional

...and yet...I am a professional. I know many hobbyists handle them different. Certainly there is no reason for me to handle the head other than doing a video. 99% of the time they are lightly tonged and put straight into a container. The risk is all mine. I have never harmed a rattlesnake from handling in decades of experience. Free handing rattlesnakes is all the rage...and is the practice that is foolish. I have all my fingers.
