It’s not the brumbies tearing up the turf it’s the pigs. I’ve watched them up there at night. They rip up the turf and eat the worms. They have a good sense of smell. The brumbies just eat grass and just walk through wet grounds.
Another Great Video. Nice to see the family getting out into the bush and enjoying themselves. Winter is a good time for camping. Put plenty of clothes on and light a fire. Camp oven stew or a roast and veggies. Jaffle iron toasty or mash mellows on the fire. Very few flies in winter also.
We've just arrived home today from Polblue Barrington Tops. We live about 2 hrs from there. And it is one of our favourite camping site's. We do Banksia campsite as well. It's so beautiful there
Hi Pete from Cooma NSW here - never been to Barrington Tops, never watched you until now. Definitely heading north and definitely want to see more of your, so normal, so lovely family. Thanks
Little Murray Campground is my favourite campground in the Barrington Tops. Relatively open flat grassy areas with a toilet. The locals (brumbies and kangaroos) always say hello.
Hi guys love your videos we’re looking at purchasing the UEV14 just wondering if you guys have done any videos on the full set up of the bat wing Annexe with the walls and what’s your thoughts on how easy it is to set up, because we can’t seem to find anything about it on youtube. Cheers Natasha
Hi Natasha. Sorry we haven’t done a setup video of the full set of awning walls, it’s something we should definitely do. We do put the first wall on around the kitchen regularly and works well to block the rain out. The walls are quite easy to put on in general. It’s just not something we have felt the need to do as yet. Thanks for watching and best wishes with the purchase.
I did 3 laps of Barrington tops last year in my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van...not intentionally! Google maps got me bushed! It's a good thing I also have Hema maps (both in book form and electronic (satellite)). Barrington tops is a trap for those who don't know the area. I went in through Gloucester and after 3 laps and about 2/3rds of a tank of diesel, I found my way out...never to return! The bushland is awesome, but it's not somewhere I'd want to run out of diesel as I was the only vehicle there at that time.
Top video guys 👍 Hey Adam looks like you might need -12 offset mud flaps for the front mate. Time Stamp 31:13 Looks like I’m going to need them also. I’ll find out next week when we get our 79 👍👍
I love the Barrington Tops. We camped there about 3 or 4 years ago and only for 3 night also as we had no 12 volt or fridge then only esky's and ice. One thing I have noticed since then is that Google maps have changes 2 of the camp site names. Where you and Google Maps said was Banksia is actually Dilgry River and vise versa. Check the address's. Anyway we stayed 1st night there, 2nd night at Horse Swamp and 3rd at Polblue. We visited Little Murray's and Junction Pools and we were in the clouds, it was so awesome seeing such a beautiful spot and being in the clouds. We have some videos of that trip on our channel if you're interested. Anyway nice video it looked like you had a great time.
Guys. Don’t be scared to add water to your roast. As much as required during cooking process (little by little) so at the end you’re left with decent liquid on bottom for a bit of sauce or gravy. And nothing gets burnt

@@lastknownlocation8760 What the authorities don't know won't hurt them. If you're travelling full time and have all that gear in your ute/4wd/trailer, and don't take them out and don't use them then no harm no foul. It's pretty unreasonable to make arbitrary laws/rules and not expect people travelling full time to have these items with them, but common sense does dictate that any reasonable person wouldn't go flaunting these around nor use them in areas they aren't allowed, please note I did say common sense, and I do know that is very rare these days.

Thanks for tuning in mate.
Great vid!! Ive only just planed a camp up at the Barringtons so to get such a recent update is great!! well done lots of great info !
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for a vid on Chichester and south Barrington 👍🏼
Hope this is helpful advice. When cooking with the camp oven next time, layer some bread below all your, helps prevent burning. Works a treat.
Thanks for the tip.
Your a good dad mate love the cutting the wood
Thanks 👍 bud.
Hi guys, just joined your channel and watched Barrington Tops, and GRR. So good. Look fwd to more content. Safe travels,
Thanks for tuning in.
You've got a great set-up 👍

Great video. I haven’t been up to Barrington Tops yet but it’s on the list after watching this.
Thanks for watching. 👍🏼

Adam looks like he needs an sts beanie for winter trips like this 😉🙋♂️😬
Lovely Ep and spots guys,
Thanks mate.
Bit of a theme to this episode. First you got complimented on having nice wood, then a visit to Cock Rock followed by a stroll through Pinus radiata 😂
😝

It's the feral pigs that root up the ground as shown, not the Brumbies

Will do, thanks for the tip.
You’re lucky in NSW. In Qld it’s an offence to even possess a chainsaw in a national park. Nor are we allowed to use them in state forests in QLD.
Really ?
Yes really - or machetes. You can only take a small axe

Noticed you guys predominantly using an induction cooktop …. guessing no improvements to the dometic 2 burner and its just useless in most instances
We enjoy using the induction as we have a very comprehensive power system in the gworks canopy.
Should have kept going down to elerston,,,, Moon flats pub, then onto Lingalonga Pub towards Scone.
Yeah for sure, we nearly did exactly that.
Another tip

@@David-rr3hw I've heard Ladies Well has a reputation for getting a bit feral on the weekends
@@eddieadventures2298 it has that element to it. Lots of young “P” platers.. A good day trip let’s say. Camp else where.
