- After exploring Barrington Tops a few weeks back, we had to head back, this time we ventured around the adjoining Chichester State Forest for a few days.
Another chilly camp, but again, so stunning! Creek crossings, waterfalls, bush walking, campfire cooking and a brewery 🍻 😉 Adam had a dip in the icy creek 🥶 the kids are still not overly keen on the freezing temperatures.
We’re actually really loving the winter camping with the Conqueror Off Road UEV-490 camper (we’re roughing it without a heater though) and the new ute setup giving us plenty of power.

I have a 30amp enerdrive charger & 650 watts of solar on the roof of my RV.
I was thinking about getting a 40amp redarc charger.
What do you think 🤔

Hi Peter. An easy upgrade to your system would be to have the solar on a seperate solar regulator so
You get solar charge and the full 30amp charge off the car at the same time, giving you roughly 50amp charging whilst driving.

Spent a few Easterweekends at the same camp ground as a teenager. Such a great spot, gotta get back there. Fantastic video of the area, thanks.
One time we were there, we were flagged down by a guy asking for help to pull his Magna out of the river. We towed him back out and sent him on his way. Turned out the car was stolen and the cops picked him up in Dungog, where the car konked out. Good times!

Great Weekend family trip. What a legend, Adam swimming in the river. Megan needs to practice hill starts. Nice bush walks, and water falls.
Unfortunately quite common for rubbish laying around at those ladys well camp sites, i think 2 wheel drive access doesn't help.
Corn on the cob cooking tip. The corn cooks moister and no chance of burning if you leave the husks and silk on the cob . Just, top and tail it. Stays moister and much better flavour.

Love the look of the new rig. Where'd you get the mirrors from, not been able to find any for the 2024 model yet myself.
Hi Gary. The doors on the 70 series have been the same shape since about 1984 I think so any 2023 mirrors should fit as far as I'm aware.

The campsite we stayed at in this episode was called Currawong campground.
Younger peoples rubbish there was red bull cans in there 🕵️♂️

@@SmartTouringSystems especially since it’s my backyard! Your correct about the creek crossing it gets the weekend campers nervous in crossing it
To be fair it might not have been younger people. Many younger campers want the bush to be clean too and quite a few older people can be grubs. I'm not young by the way. Also older people also do drink caffeine rubbish drinks too. The take away is, if you can bring it in you can take it out.
