Chatterbait patent is expiring. Which means Evergreen can start selling their jackhammers in North America directly without the Zman patent tax soon. Which means 10 dollar Jackhammers.
@@GaryAnderson87 2026-02-04 according to the patent. Zman is a wart to the fishing world. All of their baits are direct copies of other baits, but with Elzatech, and they went and patented a chatterbait, the only original bait they have. I never buy Zman products. I'll import Jackhammers from Japan. It's not hard to find a Japanese seller who is willing to ship to North America. Just don't tell Zman which sellers.
Proposal for New Z-man Bait: A tiny TRD line of bait to target Pompano & Flounder. This tiny bait is muli-color: body is bright chartreuse yellow, and there is a cluster section on the bait that is bright orange color mimicking Sand Flea Eggs. The bait comes with a small, weighted, weedless, "embedded" TRD jighead hook for the small mouths of Pompano & Flounder. The weighted TRD gets the tiny bait to the bottom to stir the sand. Bait also comes in Hot Pink Body with bright Orange area that looks like a cluster of Sand Flea Eggs.
I met Mr. Browning last year at an MLF event on championship day. He was awesome. I became an instant fan of his. He is the nicest guy. I could not believe how personable and how down to earth he was.
Why haven't z-man came up with a design that has tungsten in the head where the blade makes contact? Not only does it make it more durable, but adds a unique sound
Awesom vidio steven, just saw an heard of it today bought 4 an for packs spikes, been fishing chatter bait like 20 yrs, love the oringlenaols trad them all I think I like the evo alot it holds trailer good, used to have to put glue on trailer,do u have any tips on how to keep trailer from melting ,I no now keep it away from other baits ,wat about put in in pack with the trailers, glad there's no salt in them, sick of my other baits rusty up,if u good u don't need salt in anything.......

I’m curious as to the weight of the Chatterbait he was using and what weight classes are going to be available when this hits the market because I’m hoping for a 1/4oz 🤞🏻🤞🏻
After Ron Davis built a chatterbait. Zman started backing the game with chatterbaits here in SC! Why would it matter if they continued critiquing there own chatterbaits. Making them better.. they aren’t knocking off themselves. Everyone else has knocked the OG chatterbait off. So why would it matter if zman continued to do that..
I would like to see the Hellraiser made stronger for saltwater fish. I saw a video of a guy using it for redfish and the second fish destroyed the lure. Z Man makes very innovative baits that can be great for saltwater fish if they're strong enough. Some super stout models of chatterbaits with a very strong line tie and hooks would be awesome too. Maybe a chatterbait blade that can be put on any jig would be cool. Do y'all need someone who invents new lures and can come up with new ideas all the time? I'm interested in making lures and I have some unique ideas for lures that don't exist. What I don't have is the backing or facility or distribution you have. We should collaborate.
I got my nickname throwing a Jackhammer in every tournament and getting more top 5 finishes than ever before. Now it might need to be changed to Evo. 😂
$10. Interesting. I wonder if it’s just a little different than a Jackhammer with the trailer keeper so Zman doesn’t have to pay to get them shipped from Japan and pay royalties to Evergreen
@XxNiteStockerxX I really hope we aren't paying an extra $5-$6 for a trailer keeper system..... the only difference I see just from the video is the head design.
I must be the only person to never catch a fish on a chatterbait. Have no confidence in this lure. Could find a school of fish throw a chatterbait and nothing. Can put a key on and they will hit it. Don't know what I'll doing wrong with a chatterbait.
Oh come on you took the jackhammer blade and stuck it on this chatterbait lmao. It's literally the exact same blade. Let's not pretend there was a ton of engineering and testing that went into the blade.....
I'm sold! Can't wait to get some!!! That trailer is PERFECT!!🔥🔥🔥
The trailer definitely looks great. It should be good for bucktails and spinner baits too.

How about a blade where the paint doesn't chip off?
That will cost you an additional $20
Just put some clear nail polish over it.

When Stephen Browning speaks, especially about Chatterbaits, I keep learning and using ZMAN Chatterbaits 💯🎣❤
