Walton is not a gamer. He's a cowboy from a western. And that's why he fits into his role. He's not playing a fallout ghoul. He's playing a western bounty hunter with burned face and tragic past.
and he make the ghoul character a masterpiece on video game adaptation
@@fentonstrauss7304 mainly because he didn't try to make a video game adaptation. He made a western. It just works
@@baird5682yeah but he clearly understands the twist he's not stupid sure half of his role already fits him but that doesn't mean he just doesn't have to do the other half? Lol
@@chasecsgo7041 what's your point?
Goggins is one damn good actor. Game adaptation or not, trust him to deliver a good performance.
"Especially if we get to do a season 2." I think it is pretty clear that that will happen, this must be the biggest success of Prime so far. The show is brilliant and very promising for future seasons.
Maybe they do a Netflix.
the end credits is pretty obvious
Its up there but dont forget the boys and invincibles
A 2nd season has already been green lit by Amazon, so yeah, the story will continue.
@@kalsabrain1370 I would think the Boys is more popular purely because it's been around longer, but Fallout has the potential to be even bigger judging by the scale of the audience in the first season (much larger than The Boys). Both are really good shows
I could listen to Walton Goggins talk about fallout for days full knowing he's never played the game. We need more Fallout Walton Goggins
He may never has played the games, but he takes the source material seriously as a part of the world he is helping build!
You know, I think Bud’s buds was a success. Because Lucy is a boss.
You mean goosey...lol
They did mean goosey ur so silly. 😂@@kirkperez7947
Absolutely. As far as Vault-Tec experiments go, Vault 31’s wasn’t that bad and actually somewhat achieved the intended result: create vaults full of idealistic, nice vault dwellers capable of strong leadership, survival skills and combat by introducing trained pre-war Vault-Tec employees into the vaults. We got Lucy and Norm, two strong and/or talented children in their own ways.
Yes indeed I agree!!! Hahaha. 🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎💜💜💜✨✨✨
This is one of the first interviews I've seen that actually has good questions.
Good questions but super annoying voice of the interviewer. That stuck nose californian speech manner is terrible.
Yes! The interviewer was fantastic.
The prop makers deserve a huge round of applause.
Absolutely, they did amazing work.
Absolutely. Set Design, Mask, Costume department, they all nailed it. But since the Actors are the face and voice of the show they get to do the promo tour. Fans think it is important that the actors respect the source material but more important it is for the workers behind the scenes and the writers to do so.
its so refreshing having the actors, showrunners, and overall production team having so much love for the source material. i don't want to be dramatic, but the Fallout show's success needs to be studied in a college course or something so more people would be able to understand how to almost perfectly adapt a live action version of a video game.
Love Walton Goggins, what a great actor.
Not only the series is fantastic but the attention from the cast with the lore is also commendable, everyone seems pretty knowledgeable of the universe.
Literally lore destroying episode after episode. However the acting/casting is top notch.
@@hughmann9568 Yeah sure bro, I already think you know more than Todd Howard himself haha.
That’s all they got to say to keep us entertained, “I respect your IP and we are working hard to make a worthy addition to it.”
“Take my money”
😂. It’s that easy to please us
Seems like they made them watch or play some of the games which is pretty cool, imagine you got a job to work for a game company and know nothing about it I would probably go play them even if I'm not a gamer or at least watch some play through.
Oh, I get it now! Now I see why the long pauses between dialogue. All the main characters were all like think just like in the game when we make choices.
@@orseysaucey9255peak editing at its finest 😂😂
When Lucy approaches the the guy in the desert with drawn weapon is also a nice reference to the game where you start every conversation with a drawn weapon.
I’m hoping for more than just two seasons. fallout is such a lore rich world with great characters to be expanded upon.
They’re probably gonna do more than two seasons for sure. And maybe more spin offs and back stories of characters we’ve seen in both the games and tv show. who knows🤷♂️lots of possibilities
would be really cool for the story to be in a new state each season
They can really go a long ways if they stay cannon. Finally they get something right out in hollyweird
I truly hope it doesn’t go farther than 4 seasons at most. I’m a massive Fallout fan among other fandoms and truly don’t want the one good game adaptation I’ve seen turn bad because they stretched it out too long.
It could reboot itself with another vault dwellers story as well in a different city. There’s a large world to explore
Kyle MacLachlan is a national treasure
Wasn’t he the mayor on Portlandia, I know he was in twin peaks I’ll look it up on IMDb
@@adamethridge7824 He was also Paul Atreides in that David Lynch sex-dream-put-to-film-no-seriously-Sting-in-a-tiny-blue-speedo from the 80s, and the character from How I Met Your Mother with furious eyes.
@@zazzblammywazazz2020 Don't forget Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet!
Kyle MacLachlan and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Don’t forget the damn fine pie!
This is by far the BEST interview from the thought provoking questions. And the in depth detailed responses! You can tell they learned a lot about the story and the lore of the series for these roles and enjoy playing them very much!
Kyle MacLachlan with the Twin Peaks reference.
Love it!
Good questions and their answers are even better. Directors and cast really did the homework and I love it and thats why this TV show is so good.
I'm watching it through for the third time now. Catching new things everytime.
I’m doing my first watch this weekend. Not sure how many episodes it is, but I will be binging it.
@@michaelfrazier31488 episodes roughly an hour long each
@@michaelfrazier3148I watched 7 episodes last night 😂
Second season is pretty much happening.
I would assume they signed a contract to that if the first season did well, then the second would be green lit
shoutout to the question composer!!
9:55 at the end of first season, we were shown how Hank escapes in power armor. It was his name, Hank, that gave me idea. What is likelihood that in future, he will be made into an analogue of Frank Horrigon? A healthy super mutant in power armor.
Season 2 is definitely gonna happen. The amount of amazing feedback and number of viewers for season 1 exceeds probably what they thought was gonna happen.
Would be pretty dumb of amazon to not do season 2, if the next season is even better, well, there'll no doubt be a season 3.
I honestly cant get enough of fallout, so even if this show stopped at some point, id love for them to do something else TV show wise or movie wise... Fallout is special and stories can be made up for it, it doesnt necessarily follow a set protagonist So this just adds much more creative control to its universe. As long as that universe isnt toyed with like Halo was, then it's hard to not get it right.
Universe already toyed with. Acting and casting is top notch though.
yeah same I bought the game right after finishing the show
Wait until Lucy meets an Elder or Proctor of the BoS. The Brotherhood is not exactly what it claims to be. Well she'll see I imagine.
It also depends on which group/chapter she meets.
The chapter Max is in seems to lean more heavily into the quasi-religious elements, whereas Arthur Maxon's chapter (at least in Fallout 4) is more martially inclined and the scribes less ritualistic and more task oriented.
Or to put it another way, do the knights facilitate the work of the scribes, or do the scribes facilitate the work of the knights.
The show, what a blast!
I’d probably choose the Brotherhood, sure it feels like a cult but I want to live.
It's funny to see several of the cast choose a vault because their point of reference is a mostly benign vault.
The odds of that is not very good as a vault dweller.
I think I'd rather take my chances with either of the other options; wasteland wanderer or BoS. :)
@@suntiger745Yea, I was thinking it depends on the vault. If it’s Vault 33, or a vault that is very chill with no horrific experiment going on, then yea, I’d be a vault dweller. If not, I’d probably try to find a group of people I trust and can feel safe with.
These questions were so good! I'm sure the cast appreciated then too!
I was really hoping for a "Damn good cup of coffee" at the beginning
If anyone from the studio is reading? YES - Season 2, please. You've already invested in the set, costumes etc - season two should cost less. Give us season 2. And Firefly season 2 as well.
Browncoat flashbacks intensify...
i love my Vault-Tec beer mug.
i love the goggins. i expect him to be like his characters you know. a bit loud, a bit rude, a bit crude, a bit gruff and a bit goofy but irl he's actually very soft spoken, articulate and thoughtful. an excellent actor and an interesting dude for sure
"Lucy's gonna evolve and adapt" I guess this is why "Buds-buds" were popular at the pre-war time, they merely adapted. Head man had an idea of survival and in a sense he had right about it, i suggest viewers reflect on the episodes and it might get clearer - without me spoiling the whole season one.
Wow, that’s…well, that’s certainly one way to look at it. Have you considered a career in corporate PR?
@@shinra528 Didn't say if it was successful or not - did I pass? 😬
I was giving up on tv shows but this show gave me hope
Without the hat, it looks like he's about to say "Hail Hydra!"
Amazing interviews!!! I love this show so much and I love the actors!! They all did such an amazing job and Lucy is my favorite. 🤩🤩🤩😎😎😎🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💜💜💜✨✨✨
Kyle MacClachlan enters New Vegas
“Hello-ooooo”
💰💰💰💰💰
the most fun show thats been made in a while.
Hope we get some flashbacks in season 2 of him turning into the ghoul after the bombs drop
Has Jonathan Nolan said anything about how the robots in Westworld are basically Synths or how there was a Fort Forlorn Hope in Westworld and a Camp Forlorn Hope in New Vegas? I always figured whoever made that show was a fan of Fallout.
Could be, but Forlorn Hope is a mission that is not likely to end with anyone alive...
I would be addicted to Jet. Looks pretttyyyyy sweet
Not of you know what its made from 😅
Isn't Jet pretty much brahmin shit in gas form?
@@dustin872 Tbf cow dung is already used for a lot of different purposes in the real world by millions, huffing it doesn't seem too far fetched
Seems fun until you contract an ailment... "You have contracted Blood Farts from Jet addiction".
Vault-Tec coffee? Now here's our first problem that needs to be fixed: Everyone knows you have to drink Slocum-Joe's coffee for a truly successful day!
Walton Goggins did an amazing job!
It makes me wonder if they would manage to do a Elder Scrolls adaptation like Oblivion or Skyrim.
Actually good questions!
Maximus looks like Alternate version of Young Franklin(GTAV)
It is the dog which the Vault is not allow in!
The Ghoul and his dog. Hope there will cat.
Walton Goggins! What a guy
I wouldn't of minded a show focused on the Ghoul to be honest.
I love maximus😊
I would be a wanderer of the brotherhood of steel vaults
walton goggins is hot
They do not seem to show the Scribes much in Season 1. That might be a BoS role that would be more Kyle's speed.
If Hank is a clone is there a cooper Howard clone in a vault somewhere
IT'S ELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think Hank would be a scribe, if he were in the brotherhood, though I haven't seen the show yet and don't quite know.
Oh man, season 2 can't happen any sooner.
Ella Purnell has a very unique visual
I have a feeling the ghoul is gonna go back to being a good guy, but still tough and rough. Of course finding his family will do a lot of heavy lifting.. but I also have a bad feeling he's going to die. Probably by sacrificing himself.. I just have that feeling. Even if i hope it isnt true..
These are my hopes:
Pretty much ghoul is as i said. As for Lucy... i hope she becomes a bit more like the ghoul.. like tougher, rough, bit hard. But still retaining her good heart and I guess you could sorta like a DC hero.. like Batman or similar. As for Maximus... I just hope he grows to be a better person in some ways. like not lying so much.. he is a good person at heart, he just needs to sort himself out. As well as I hope he can get out of the brotherhood, or leave it behind, and still be alive of course.
Since he was with his daughter during the war the chances are high that she is dead. His wife might be in stasis in 31. He just might tell her that Vault-Tec had killed her and than kills his ex-wife, or she commits suicide learning about that.
Or maybe she already turned full notch unredeemable villain and carries on with the plan.
YES ELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She basically spoils hanks arch and you can’t tell Kyle was trying to save the conversation and deter the focus
He's a Vault Overseer. Of course he's up to something shady.
The question isn't *if* he's doing something, but rather *what*. ;)
I love that body language he about to do when ask "when is ghoul became feral " I'm like "uh oh " 😂because he don't know about the game he never played it
-the hand rub , look to the right to make a thought, the reposition from sitting , touch on collar dress , the sigh 😂😂
and last the suddenly increased of hand gestures
You think you're so observant when really you're not, airhead. She didn't ask "when is ghoul became feral "(wtf)
I prefered this series to the Fallout games I've played so far.
I wonder how Lee Russell would do in the wasteland
Kyle MacLachlan:" fear is the mind killer"
Just Dwellers and brotherhood? No one else? /s
I don't expect there to be any other choice outside what was in the show.
Well there are raiders lol
And vault tec
Or the ncr
It would be funny if they used Kyle and had him play multiple characters. Like the one eyed Overseer Benjamin.
Me after slaughtering all the powder gangers in goodsprings
Takrs sip from trusty vault 13 canteen 00:01
1:53
Callie from the valley?
Due to the response and success of this show I have high hopes for God of War and Horizon zero dawn tv adaptations both of which Amazon own
Max is what Fin from star wars should have been. I have to say I was constantly waiting for Max's side of the story, and as an avid fallout player I can't stand the brotherhood 😂 it was really cool to have my favorite character be from my least favorite faction.
Its charlie from the next karate kid.
Spoilers!
I think the reason the Ghoul not only spares Lucy at the end, but even tells her to follow, goes well beyond repaying the kind act of her sparing his life by giving him the drug he needed. At first, she was incredibly naive, this moron from a Vault built by his most hated enemies, and it really pissed him off to no end. What did she know about tragedy, about losing everything, about betrayal most foul. Just a fool looking for their father, and getting in his way while doing so. But that last episode was a heart breaker for Lucy, she had her world figuratively destroyed. She learned the truth about her dad. Not only did he participate in the Great War, helped initiate it, he also nuked humans trying to resettle the surface after the fact, nuked her mother even! So much for trying to save the human race. The man who'd raised her, who she believed was a good and righteous man her whole life, was in fact a genocidal murderer with the blood of billions of humans staining his hands. Just like Cooper's wife. Her life became a lie and she lost everything in a blink, like him, with only revenge left to gain, and maybe answers. Can she ever go back? Does she even want to anymore? Probably not on both accounts. He could finally empathize with her no longer so naive self.
Letsss goooo Kyle Brother Hood Of Steel
Such a great show with great character development!! This is how you do justice to the source material
The hound and Arya. The Bounty Hunter and the vault dweller. The strong male combative, together with a bad ass female. Seems a popular formula.
It's the mentor and protegé archetype. It crops up a lot in both real life and fiction.
Batman and Robin.
Lone Wolf and Cub.
Wolverine and Jubilee (in the comics, for a while).
The sith operated on this principle for quite a while too. :)
the textures on aaron's sweater are bugged.
Dam good Vault TEC coffee ☕️ 👍👍👍😃
I can relate. I've been a Lone Wolf since I was a kid. That was many eons ago.
Followers of the Apocalypse ftw.
Raider for sure. I dont care who the NCR sends, im not paying taxes.
Gary is the only choice, I guess that would be a vault dweller
NCR better drop the hammer on the brotherhood in season 2
Pretty sure Bethesda wrote the story the way it is so the NCR is gone. They don't want a functional government because they think that takes away from the bleak, gritty story. Typical of people who know how to write decent but not great stories.
@@DarkElfDiva shady sands only had a pop of 30K.
The NCR had a population of 2M
@@DarkElfDiva Todd Howard has recently said, “And look, if you look at the background, the NCR is a wide-ranging sort of organization and group across not just California, but other places. So the show focuses on this period of time and this group here, and that's what we can say right now. But I don't think you've heard the last of the NCR.”
So no, they're not gone.

Her voice and tone killed this shit for me man. I love his answers though. Nobody talks like that naturally, like I said I hate it. She also said “fural” instead of “feral”. Ik ik im hating but still.
Fearal? Lol is that how people pronounce it?
It's concerning when actors don't know the cannon and all of the universe of the role they are playing... ...oh no, the interviewer doesn't know the cannon that well either, unless she is simplifying it down because the cast doesn't...
Is the host ok? That girl wouldn’t stop cheesing for literally no reason -.-
I think goggins even said something sad and she just started cracking up 🤦♂️ embarrassing
Beautiful diverse cast
Good lord why o why can none of them pronounce the word "feral" correctly?!?!?!? Sounds like "fair-uhl"
Pronunciation doesn't matter for the most part. It changes acroas the entire country, sometimes county to county... I pronounce the town I live by as Iron-Ton.... But everyone around here says ahrntin... Like super quick... Which one is correct?
Wow, thanks for spoiling parts of Hank's character. No one knows that he's violent at all, not until the end..
You see him be quite competent at violence in the first episode when the raiders attack.
The thing about ghouls using medication to stave off 'going feral' is unique to this show. Most of the games' pre-war ghouls (for example, the residents of Underworld in Fallout 3, and Raul Tejada in New Vegas) aren't depicted as worrying about 'going feral', and medication as a means to prevent it is never shown or discussed. So that's something the television series invented.
The more logical explanation is that 'feral' and 'non-feral' are two _types_ of ghouls, not two _degrees_ of ghoul -- and neither type can 'become' the other type. The Ghoul (in the series) doesn't take that medication because it keeps him from going feral -- he takes it to avoid withdrawal symptoms, because he's addicted to it.
Too much radiation can make them go feral. Raul even jokes about that with The Courier if you take him to a highly irradiated location.
So I like to believe what Cooper takes is just Rad-Away to reduce the amount of radiation he receives and take less chances of going feral.
To be fair having that slow-turn to madness always lurking in the background adds tension and suspense to the ghoul character
Every person is different... Going feral can happen at any time, and I think they extract something from other ghouls that can stave off the feral.
u can tell this host has no knowledge of fallout but still good video!
