  • I'll show you how to route the elastic on your finger tab of your AAE KSL Gold Finger Tab for the most comfortable and consistent fit. I forgot to show how to route the elastic on the video I did a while ago on reviewing the KSL Gold Finger Tab.

Thanks Jake. Easy instructions to follow and it makes the finger tab fit really well and secure in the hand. Great videos! Keep up the good work 👍

Ah cool, thanks for this... I remember pausing and rewinding your original review vid trying to mimic your wrap so I could try it out. I eventually got it but this will be really nice to come back to when I eventually replace my face and/or backing material.

I did the exact same thing before I saw this video and I agree 1000%. I went as far as replacing the elastic with a flat shoe string that is the same width as the slot because the elastic started to stretch over time. it's like a glove feel on the fingers.

Do you have any size for the flat shoe string you used? My elastic band finally wears out and need to be replaced soon.

Hi Jake! Do you plan on reviewing the Axcel Contour Tab at all? I’m curious as to what your thoughts are about it compared to the KSL Gold

Hi Jake, I followed your instructions already from some time and they're good.
I noticed, in other videos where you shoot, that you have another additional external loop connecting index with ring finger including the finger spacer.
Am I wrong? Can you explain that "variant", perhaps useful to have a tighter grip with the finger spacer?

    Thanks for this video!
I've obtained my first AAE KSL Gold tab yesterday, so, it's just in time!
What do you think about a finger spacer width? Are you happy with standard one, or prefer to modify it with rubber rings/epoxy mass?

I just use the finger spacer kit silicone band and that's perfect for me.

Hi Jake, I have watched the vid on strings, so a stiff string is hard on your limbs (the bows that is), but what does a stiff string do for your shooting? is it more foregiving or easier to tune? or anything at all?By the way you are my hero

    • @JakeKaminskiArchery
      @JakeKaminskiArchery  3 роки тому +1

First, thanks for being a channel supporter! I would say that in my opinion the soft strings give you a bit more forgiveness in regards to making mistakes since it has some give to it compared to the stiffer strings... It feels that way anyway and could making tuning easier potentially.

i found mine at a thrift store and I got LARGE hands (even for ethnicity) so I got the large size.
I just can't get the elastic to go all the way back to the aglet(the one with the metal at the end) hole, so I routed the other end beneath the finger spacer.

Thanks for this! Do you have a video of where to cut the leather part of the tab? I noticed it's shorter than your fingers when fully extended. Is there a measurement for this?

Cool way of strapping the tab, but after I got my Fairweather tab I can't go back, the ring is SO comfortable.
Did you get to try it? Would love to hear your thoughts, cordovan vs cangaroo?

I actually swapped the spacer and elastic on my ksl tab for a ring spacer from a Fairweather tab. I think that it gives you the best of both.

My daughter and I have both got the Fairweather tab. There's a few other people at our club that use them too. Everyone seems to like them so it would really be interesting to hear Jake's thoughts on them if he's used one. I know Brady's used one in the past and three's a quite a number of high level archers taht use them too. If Jake hasn't maybe we can badger Simon on his Facebook page to get him to send some to Jake, both the barebow model and the traditional model. I've been debating getting the metal Pro plate for mine to give it a bit more heft.

I haven't tried one yet... Id like to try it and compare the kangaroo to the cordovan myself. I have felt the kangaroo in the past and liked how it felt but am curious on the change in tune that it causes... I am rebuilding my target stand and clearing some tree branches so I can get my full range back at my house and provide a LOT more shooting content to change the channel up a bit.

Would be interesting if you try to swap the cangaroo on the Fairweather with cordovan. I've been contemplating if it's a good idea.

If your reading this get the finger tab that has the thinnest metal plate, or it will interfere with your anchor.

Ive got some 24 gauge stainless but it folds like a cheap suit, want some? Good in theory but I cut the tab as needed. You may have a unique hand shape and size and jaw alignment that is similar to mine.... I use a medium tab but cut it short on the top finger so much that its smaller then a small tab on the top finger... just food for thought, look at my tab I actually use (modified medium) compared to this small tab I built.
