Fascinating interview and admirable display of maturity from a 21 year old leading the line for his country in a pressure test match. Such pragmatism and focus on the importance of winning. Not rising to the journalist’s fishing for niggles with Jack etc. Congratulations to Sam and no doubt he will get better with every game. We have another winner!
He’s young and he’s talented. He’ll only get better. Go on son!
What an impressive young man, number 10 is our fascination but we don't always have to have this rivalry, Crowley is an amazing talent. Lets build these guys up, not stupid Munster/Leinster BS
What a mature 21 year old. He is self assured……great to see
Well done Sam, after a shaky start you really grew into the game. That pass for Aki's try and slotting that penalty to put us ahead were crucial momentum swings. Lots to work on but you are a big talent with a big future 👍
What a genuine chap, articulated and self critical alike 0 he is going to go far - a great asset to Ireland - Chapeau Sam
everyone misses one , !!! go for it !!!!you are a great player!! you did a great job !! So roud of you all today !! Erin go breath !!!
One?
great prospect, vital to have competition for all positions to achieve the ultimate success
Well done lad, your best days are still ahead of you.
Future Ireland captain, you can see it in him on and off the pitch.
I yhought sddition of Crowley, Conan and Sheehan made a massive difference .
Agreed. Night and day really.
Having sam and jack? Great time to be an ireland supporter
WINNING !
A massive future ahead of him, good luck lad from a munster fan
Great to have 2 quality number 10's. I suspect Crowley will start against France and Scotland.
Ball in hand .. excellent game
Kicking
Needs work
he is too light weight
Yeah. Excellent passing. Terrible kicking (execution and decision making)
Big difference coming on as sub when opponents tired or weaker. Eng stronger first half so Prendergast did great.
That said the subs did well too and did what we hoped they would.
Nunez at Lpool does the same as sub when opponents tire.
They will both get their chance in the next two game to start against France.
The modern superstar does not feel the pressure, Crowley is the same. Crowley had a far better game and will probably start the next test!
Good that he's calm but maybe a bit too nonchalant at times?
A much nicer character than sexton ever was! Really like the way this lad talks. Impressive, he will go far.
be really nice if they could get decent acoustics in the press room
I'm just happy that we can claerly hear the questions, which is not always the case.
start kicking your points and this game would've been way easier for Ireland.
Crowley outperformed him.
He did against a team out on their feet , at least call it like it is.
@@davidwalker2402 This is true.
@@davidwalker2402 indeed. Pendergrast is another overrated D4 prospect clearly not ready for international rugby.
Fixed it for you.
@@lamelamelame3 another hater crying in his beer because Connacht have more players in the Irish team 🤣 funny Ireland have never lost a game prendergast has started and same at Leinster 🤣
@@davidwalker2402 yes...quite the feat to beat Fiji and Australia..... but g'wan thicko.... spew your ignorant shite and prove my point further.. You kids really are a riot....; so utterly dumb, yet spew an inordinate amount of utter shite about something you lack even the basic understanding of too.
The BS media hype around this guy is astonishing. He had a howler. Nowhere near ready for this level.
By all means give him the start against Italy and Wales to blood him but he was found out tonight.
The difference Crowley made was palpable. Nowhere near the finished product but read the game, stayed composed, great passing and kept them pinned with accurate kicking. In other words the opposite of Prendergasts performance.
Try not listening to Horgan/Thorney et al. Crowley was leagues better and changed the dynamic from the minute he came on. Even the most diehard Leinster goy must see that?
This is a wild take. Prendergast looks like he sees the space/reads pictures very early - like johnny - and his passing variation got them on the outside of England's rush D multiple times. Crowley looked great when he came on against a tired D, but there's a reason guys who know the game well are talking up Prendgerast more than they have any of the previous conveyor belt of Irish 10s.
@@bybdy Really? You "know the game" eh? When did we really put our foot on their necks? Not when he was on.
He was rattled, they targeted him and found him out. I'm not saying the kid doesn't have potential but he is not ready for games like this. Forget the provincial rivalry, this is what is happening in front of your eyes. This was not a friendly,. this is the real deal and he didn't deliver.
@@bybdy Crowley got white line fever...butchered a try
@ England are a team capable of about 40 min of good rugby per game. Prendergast unlocked their defence multiple times during England's 'good' periods. Getting outside of the blitz is critical for Ireland vs England, SA and NZ. Crowley crumbled last year against the same English side and their rush defence. He played well today against a tired D.
If Ireland lose a game this year giving the guy with the higher ceiling gametime, the world doesn't stop spinning.
Prendergast, ably supported by Crowley off the bench, will give Ireland more success in the future.
Also I'm an Ulster fan so don't care about provincial rivalries :)
I agree . There was an immediate improvement .
I'm looking forward to a new Ward/Cambell, Sexton/ O Gara era.
Looks like are gifted agsin with two super out halves .
Two great talents ..Sam didn't perform, crowley did. Great to see 50/50 10s. 21/24y old . Imo crowley and conan made the difference...Crowley 10 , conan 6 .
Cool dude.
Back on to the bench he goes
crowley is better, this guy only starts because he plays for leinster
Oh FFS! Will you STOP!!
Absolute shite, he is far better player and future capt
Can't kick conversions for shit
What language is that
@@annmcl5119 english you thick bastard
@@Emmet-q4hshut up
Time for him to be Crowley's caddy. Needs to sit on the bench for a couple of years, gain 10 kgs and learn how to play international rugby. Clearly not there yet....
And Crowley is some test match animal is he? He’s had one season starting at 10, he doesn’t own the shirt at all. Frawley is the one that won that sa game away last summer
@Nieljoyceniel you'd be a better 10 than the ginger. And he did a great job losing the European title for the overrated D4 lads.
Kept that tradition of shitting the bed at the end of every season alive & well.
Thanks for the laugh. Can always rely on the D4 thickos to spew some utter shite to entertain the actual supporters of Irish Rugby
@ indeed..won the 6N for Ireland last year and has played well for the green shirt. Can't be said of all the overrated D4 dross regularly in the Ireland team
@@lamelamelame3 like who? You can’t name one.
@ Baird, Kelleher (who can't throw a lineout to save his life), Ryan, Pendergrast -- - is that more than one,, you absolutely thicko? you dumb shites makes this far too easy -- but then again, you never knew fuck all about riugby to start with
