I must say that even though I would appreciate new event mechanics, the work that the design team had done for this event is spectacular. I just love the card designs.

Important Caveat about the Mini Challenge quest requirements (including GE, 24 hour productions, etc.): it will very likely change a fair bit, and hopefully be significantly easier on the live servers than on Beta. Also, unlike previous events, it is quite likely that we will have different quests and rewards for the two Mini Challenges. (In most other events so far, the Mini Challenge quests were all the same within the event.)

Yeah, it was a rebalance from Beta to live servers. However, with the tickets added to the grand prizes, I actually thought it was a bit more helpful - more tickets when you need them, rather on days with bad daily specials :)

Significant event rebalancing (since Beta) announced today. Summary: 1. more Coins from quests and daily logins; 12k total now 2. Tickets now only generate every 10 hours instead of 8, so more relaxed but maybe fewer tickets overall? 3. Grand prize list, daily specials, and minigame rewards changed; more boost potions 4. Rival rewards adjusted (this implies the quests are the same?) 5. Gold League reward (Woodland Wager Retreat) now gives a QI boost 6. Bastion Gatehouse changed, gives new different reward instead of fragments for Lilac/Trio buildings 7. Lilac Garden, Ethereal Fountain and Fromage Village are now all 10-day LIMITED buildings at L2, and will give QI boosts. When expired, they become L1 (no boosts). Only L2 will appear as prizes in the event. The Event support page which lists the Event reward buildings will be updated soon. Thoughts: a. competition for Gold League will be even more fierce. b. Lilac Garden, Etherial Fountain, and Fromage are now much better prizes, but One-shots, and there does not appear to be any way to get more AFTER the event. Place a few at the start of each QI session, delete when QI ends? c. gameplay strategies will need to be adjusted, unless we get more tickets from some other source. Safer to spend a few more Coins early on though.
@@UBERnerd14 As best I can tell, Easy games are not a safe route to get a fully leveled Sanctuary. Easy games give 20 Progress (as per comments on the Beta forums). I estimate that you can get 100 free tickets total in the event: 4 to start, 52 generated (one per 10 hours), 3 from milestone, 2 from grand prizes, 8 from Mini Challenges, 30-ish from quest rewards (just a guess until we see the daily quests), and another one or two from Incidents. [Inno could completely change this schedule of course.] 100 minigames (assuming you have enough game time to use ALL your tickets) => 2000 Progress (assuming you WIN all your games). So technically, if EVERYTHING goes right, you could get a Sanctuary maxed - but you won't get the later golden upgrades, and many players will miss even the 2000 grand prize progress. On top of this, some extra progress is possible from the "Grand League" special card, although you will miss out on a card that damages the boss (or will have to pay extra Coins to buy them). Let's assume that you can use the Grand League special in 10% or 10 games (you won't see it every time, even with maxed Negotiate boost, and will usually NOT see it early on with low Negotiate). That's +150 progress. It looks like people are going to have to play quite a few HARD (or perhaps Medium?) minigames to get more grand prize progress, especially now that the total Coins have been increased. (League progress is a different calculation.) Are there any other ways of getting more grand prize progress, without simply buying more Tickets (and possibly Coins) with diamonds?
@@UBERnerd14 FYI, excluding incidents and Challenges, you can now earn 12k Coins for free. This works out at 95 EASY games and only 5 HARD games, if you conservatively estimate 100 Coins for easy and 500 Coins for Hard games (and if we only get 100-ish tickets). If you find more Coins from incidents or can win games spending fewer coins, that's great, and you'll be able to play a FEW more Hard games. Be careful not to overspend by jumping into too many hard games though.
Thanks for the great tutorial and guidance! One comment regarding redraw (I don't think it was mentioned in your video, but if so I obviously missed it). Given redrawing from the initial redraw selection is more costly, it makes sense to typically select and redraw again. But I had to wonder what do you get for the extra coins using redraw from redraw...apparently it will do the next redraw only from the remaining card deck (i.e. less those in the original redraw selection). Realized that when I was down to 5 cards left and wanted to get a specific one, selecting and redrawing again kept giving me anything but the specific card I was looking for. So, in the case where you are down to 6 cards or less, it might well be more economical to just spend the 10 coins vs 5 coins since you will get 3 new cards. And when down to 7-8 cards it might make sense as well.

Um, no. They do not give the same progress. Hard games give a minimum of 35. I'd recommend playing all your remaining games as hard games, and you might get closer. Try to buy the grand prize progress cards if possible.

There are quite a few changes between the Halloween minigame and the History card game. That said, if you LIKED the Halloween game, you'll very likely enjoy the History event too.
So, I grasped the concept, but so far I lost all medium matches. What can I do there, should I literally redraw till I get the perfect card to win them too?
I wish they keep the Rival Challenge like the Anniversary Event, where every age player has a chance of completing it, else it’s gonna suck for IA players! 😢
Hi Uber, I don't know, if it's a bug, or only in some specific worlds, but I (playing us, Greifental can't redraw a card without the original dissappearing from the deck. Super annoying..any advice? Great video as always..
Not a bug. When you redraw, the original won't appear as a choice. It's not removed from the deck though. Once you choose a card, the original can now appear as a redraw option.
Progress seems to be a real problem; the easy minigame only yields 20 progress per game; at three games per day that's well short of the 2000 for the main building (which is my goal). I know the video says skip the medium decks, but do they give more enough progress to make them worth it?
I have this on my tablet...i can play the regular game but it won't let me play the new mini game I've been trying for 2 days now and every time I click on it it keeps me right out like I said I'm able to play the other regular game but not the mini game
The TS was added to the Silver (+Gold?) League rewards instead, but Inno forgot to update the League rewards graphic in the new event announcement page. Sloppy.
@@UBERnerd14 I see…understandable.They figured out about diamond farms and made it much harder to gather those. I’m happy with my 420 distributed over 4 worlds….and thank you for that video, I have now a few ideas on how to further progress with my diamonds farms 🙂
It's a very similar minigame, but only 8 enemy cards instead of 11, and different special cards. The new "Negotiation" booster is also different. Finally in the Halloween event you could only play up to 3 minigames per day (unless paying diamonds), and had to try optimize which deck to play against, depending on in which suit of cards your deck was strongest. That aspect is completely different now.
the new 4x2 buildings are not chained but standalone. They have also been completely reworked between Beta and Live; and are now 10-day limited buildings. Very interesting, but will require more thought about if and when to use them.

There is something that bothers me since I started playing this game. By the icon you see when you gain enough happiness from colture building, your people actually turn arrogant. They are not enthusiastic! They are arrogant! This is a mislead!
sigh......another "copy paste" of a previous event (halloween) from the "creative" IG team, with a new skin that loooks like its from a mobile game designed for kindergarten kids not a strategy war game. at this stage its just embarrasing. Why not just run one event 365 days a year and lay off some staff, if money is all they care about. it feels like this game has turned into rocky 5...i rest my case.
Inno is announcing the event information on Friday (May 3), and previously said (on Monday) that it will start "next week", i.e. probably Monday or Tuesday.

No real change in strategy. Still save tickets for DS you want, and otherwise do mostly easier decks.

On low difficulty i lostly chosed both double self damage cards, so an instant Kollegen against the Last boss

Its just a re-skinned version of the Halloween game. So if you were good at that, you should be good at this :)

They do not. They end up costing more per progress.

A little bit different... for example, don't hit 0 health when killing the boss, in this event you lose :)
