Harold Jenkins, aka Conway Twitty had 55 number 1 hits, starting as a 50s rock and roll singer before becoming one of the most sought-after country stars. He died at age 59 from surgical complications of abdominal aneurysm. He would have had many more hits and he was mentioned in the George Jones hit Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes.

Conway started out playing rock and roll in the 50's but switch to country in the 60's. Conway had a big hit in the 50's. (It's Only Make Believe)

Oh this song……my son Josh was a year old when it came out. He would be sitting and playing, but when the chorus came, he would stop whatever he was doing, stand up, look at the radio and sing “that’s my Josh”! He thought it was his song😢. Great memory!

Huge country artists. Did duets with Loretta Lynn. He tried early Rock n' Roll and gad a huge hit, It's Only Make Believe, people really thought it was Elvs singing.

Wow...another beautiful song that definitely describes my dad as well. When I was a kid me and him did a lot of fun things together. Then high school came around, me turning into a teenager, and things just changed. I didn't really wanna hang around him anymore because back then I thought hanging with your dad as a teenager was kinda weird. Then I got into my 20s and around that time me and him had a lot of disagreements. There was one really bad disagreement that lead to a fight. A couple years later I wanted absolutely nothing to do with him...like at all. Then after he passed away, I realized he was really trying to build up a wonderful adult version of a father-son relationship. But I turned him away, and I felt so guilty and angry at myself, especially after being haunted by his death for a long time. But after seeking some counseling I feel so much better about myself, I'm sure my dad is resting more peacefully now. Yes I still miss him and love dearly. The pain of a tragedy like that will never truly go away, because there will always be reminders. But it will get better as time goes on. Anton ever since I found your channel, I realize that me and you have so much in common. I don't know where I would be if I didn't find your channel knowing that you also didn't have a good relationship with your dad as well. Even though you'll be away for quite a long time, you're still my brother from another mother. I'd give you the best bro hug if I could man. Keep being yourself. And as Alex Hefner would say, don't let anybody throw shade at you. lol. Love ya Anton.

It's good to hear wholesome music about dads I never had one in my life....regardless I love this song and get sad a bit when I hear it... Mostly from the beauty I missed out on I think. I still had a great mom though.❤

Conway is a GOAT…upon his death - 33 #1’s. This is a made-up video. Someone made this a military video, which took away Conway’s story about…leaving home to “make it in the music industry”.
A must hear from Conway - Goodbye Time

Need to listen to Goodbye Time, It’s only Make Believe and How Much More Can She Stand by Conway. His voice is way better then the artists that you mentioned.

I can not wait for you to react to Jennifer Rush’s Power of Love. If your patreon friends suggest it someday. It might take a day, week months who knows but it will give you chills.

It's country music, and they don't play violins. They play fiddles.
I think the difference is that violins are carried in a case, and fiddles are carried in a sack.😂

While this is a great song it doesn't showcase Conway's vocal range, and doesn't have the signature Conway (growl) ...

This whole video is a joke, Luke combs and Brantley Gilbert could never hold a candle to Conway.
