You are the best mechanic on UA-cam and I have seen vid's from all the famous American UA-cam mechanics and they come no where close to explaining repairs the way you do. You explain things in detail and even though I don't have car issues (my Yaris is bulletproof lol ) I still find your content interesting.

yes the press is a good thing, but you can make do with a bit of ingenuity and a giant size C clamp as well, though the removal part was done with the aid of a few sacrificial bricks, some wooden planks and a BFH to provide the gentle persuasion for the bearings to part company. The name of my hammer that I use is "Gentle Persuasion", because if that is not moving it the next steps involve an angle grinder and a gas torch.
Hey Sean, it is amazing how ingenuity takes over when one is confronted with obstacles such as replacing wheel bearings, a bench vice is useful too, and I once removed and fitted wheel bearings by freezing it overnight just to experiment, my hammer's name is "THE MOERING TOOL" (off-camera only hahaha....), thanks once again for your interesting insights it is well appreciated. Gary
Brilliant. Thanks for this, Gary! What is the part number of the wheel bearing? Masterparts says they only have a listing up to 2012 for the Ford Figo. Also, is the circlip in the kit used at all?

Another awesome video 👌. I have a 06 yards t3, the car has been losing oil due to a rear main seal leak, the Leak doesn't seem to be severe in a case where there is drops on the ground but if you look at the bell housing you will see an oil damp. I have a judder on my clutch which was put in 2018. Do you think it's necessary to replace just the seal or install a new clutch as well?
Hi Kreesen, firstly thanks a tonne for your support, if it were my vehicle, I would do the seal and clutch at the same time as the clutch was done back in 2018 and a leak on the rear main seal will affect the clutch assembly as by now oil has leaked onto the clutch plate. Wishing you all the best with your decision. Gary
Thank you Gary. As per your recommendation I will do the seal and clutch. Thanks again for the awesome content. I will be watching your recent uploaded video tonight:) cheers!

Hi, is the rear wheel bearings on the ford figo also abs bearings and does it need to be pressed in aswell
Yes, Etienne, they are ABS too and yes it is best to use a press.
What is the size of the bearing
How much would it cost for the Labour to replace 1 wheel bearing.
Thank you sir
Around R650 for a front bearing on a Ford Figo Franklin, that includes removing and refitting the hub.
