I have the same bags for my CB1100. They really come in handy. They also sell number plates that clip on to the brackets if you want them to look better when the bags are off.
Those bags look pretty cool. I have had much tribulation trying to find a waterproof, spacious yet not ridiculous looking solution to getting saddlebags on my R3. I ended up with some Sedici 20L roll top bags on there. Had to put the straps under the seats and really tie the others onto the passenger peg brackets to keep them away from my exhaust and wheel. Looks pretty good but it isn't removable without much effort which is annoying. That bracket system you have there is exactly what I wish I had but that price hurts! Thanks for the video!
lovely corbin seat; is this the stock for xsr900 ! One negative of the xsr as Shad does not support the top or pannier boxes with rails. WHY; when they have them for all of Triumph ? I'm in Thailand so getting a corbin seat; shipping and customs will be a 40% adder.
I'm looking HARD at the XSR900 for my next bike. VERY nice setup! I have heard mixed reports that Yamaha actually makes OEM saddlebag brackets. Do you know if this is true, and if so did you consider them? I dont see them on Yamah site. Cheers from soggy Vermont!
Thanks for the compliment on the setup. I can’t remember seeing if Yamaha makes OeM saddlebags and/or brackets. I assume so, as they built the seat under frame with the threaded nuts on the underside that the SW-Motech brackets attach to. If Yamaha does “make” their own OEM brackets I wouldn’t be at all surprised if SW-Motech actually makes them for Yamaha. It’s not uncommon for seemingly aftermarket manufacturers to also supply OEM parts. I really like these brackets and bags - they came in handy on a recent trip to ride Tail of The Dragon and in the Smoky Mountains National Park in TN and NC. The only drawback really is they are really expensive. Don’t know if they ever go on sale or not. If you are considering this bike, I for one have zero regrets and absolutely love it. They are hard to find though.
Yeah, storage under the seat is near non-existent. It’s too bad that there are not many economical options for storage on our bikes. I need a little space aboard, even for day rides and commutes with crap I carry around - camera gear, batteries, charge cables, tourniquet, etc. Although pricey the SW-Motech mount system and their various bag options seem to be the best.
@@raisingcane225 There's the Hepco and Becker c-bow system which is considerably cheaper, holds more, and has a crazy number of bag options from retro leather briefcases to leather cruiser bags to metal adv hard cases. Most are lockable.
@@tymobyrne4451 I found and installed a pair of Hepco and Becker panniers that I got off eBay, as I've hard hard panniers before and found them them conveniently water proof.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes it does. I supplement that with zip-lock freezer bags for anything I might need to be absolutely sure will not get any moisture.
Its my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. I’m the original owner. It’s been heavily modded with all forged interrnals, Forced Performance Turbo, Quaife LSD, and lots more. Boosted at 25 PSI and running on E85. One day I’ll do a longer vid on that.
@@raisingcane225 i did, just wanted to know if you are still fine with it, Im not sure to order this or that kelpi one. is you windshield helping a lot? thank you
I don’t know much about the Kelpi seat. I remain quite happy with the Corbin seat. The only downside for it for me was that it was quite expensive. The windshield I am also SUPER happy with. It makes a big difference at higher speeds and I think looks good.
@@flexberger203 No worries. If you liked the precise pattern of fabric on the seat, look in the video description of that other video about the Corbin seat and In it are the exact specs of the order. 👍
For me the slightly smaller bags are fine. I live in South Florida and mostly ride down here where it’s hot. No bulky cold weather gear to lug around and I also don’t moto camp. When we go longer range trips we trailer the motorcycles to the destination and ride from there, so no need for a ton of storage for me. Lastly I didn’t want to detract too much from the bike’s aesthetics so these were just the right size. The nice thing is the brackets work with the larger bags if anything changes re my needs for space. The brackets and even with the the bags installed have really grown on me and I have found that I’m leaving them on even for local and short range rides. They are super convenient to stow water, a sandwich, a couple of 1L fuel bottles, camera gear and batteries etc.
@@raisingcane225 Thanks for getting back to me. I have an SCR950. A bit heavy but great low-down torque. I am thinking of getting a big bag for the left and a small one for the exhaust side. Regards, Nick
Have the same bags and not to happy about them; rather awkward hooks to close them and uncomfortable straps to adjust the fit. Don't understand why you need an extra inner bag to make waterproof, it would have been better to use a waterproof outershell on the firts place.
I got their Legend hard bags they designed for Harley, they look amazing on my 2024 xsr900...

look similar bags to the givi MT 501 but these are bigger. but bagger vs. semi hard.

@raisingcane225 Thanks for the quick and detailed reply! I figure I'll have to order one this Winter for a Spring (hopefully...) delivery.
I find it hilarious that my XSR900 '22 also has the Dart windscreen and that I'm also looking for saddlebags for it.

Thinking about getting this bike or the mt09-sp. how’s it touring? I usually ride about 2.5 hrs to canyon roads then back

Nice bags. 9.5 liters, I think. Why didn't you get the bigger ones at 14.5 liters? The frames don't look unattractive.
