Love the movie Big. As a kid I would rent that from the library regularly. That was my introduction to Tom Hanks . They have one of those machines at canabie lake NH.
Originally I was thinking I couldn't think of a worse way to spend $100, now I'm ordering one.
I can't say I actually ever used a Zoltar machine, but they were definitely everywhere in the arcades. The New Wave machine is pretty cool for what it is, but I'll probably just settle for lusting after it from afar.
Ordered mine earlier today.. it was an Insta-buy ..had to have it to go along with the rest of my Replicades.. cant wait for Space Ace to get here!

I'd been thinking of building a non-functiomal version to add to my New Wave arcade so I'm glad to see this coming. However I'd say to expect the release to get delayed. They have the arcade machines down to a science now but when they try something different it tends to be a bit of a bumpy ride. The Coke machine seems to be about three months behind from the last update and I think the boomboxes were late by nearly a year (maybe more). New Wave's products always meet or exceed expectations but sometimes you just got to be really patient.

I never heard about Zoltar until I finally saw Big several years ago but I love Disney animatronics so this speaks to me.
I saw Zoltar for the first time on a trip to California a few years back (Santa Monica Pier). It was cool seeing it in person.
I've seen that one as well, I took the Kids there a few years ago. We might have been there around the same time. It's such a cool piece!
Still in my bucket list to buy and own one day.
I do kinda wish we got the "Big" film version of Zoltan/Zoltar. I just prefer its more darker, evil and mysterious look, especially with the red eyes and overall darker paint tone etc. Also it fits really well with the 1980's vibe. But I do understand that people like the original one aswell. Its just my preference though.
It would also be a blast to drop all the 1:6 scale quarters and tokens from all the other NWT products down the ramp into Zoltar's mouth!
Too bad the movie is the only one like that.
Mine just showed up, I have to say it's my favorite New Wave Toys mini cabinet. I do wish we could buy more tickets as I don't want to use the ones that came with it. It comes with two rolls. It even has the attract mode. You can put 1/6 scale tokens in to start it and the tokens go into the collection box inside the machine on the back. lol
Big surprise that the guy who basically turned his house into an arcade loved Big growing up. I am of course talking about myself...

Oh I absolutely ordered this the second I got the email about it. I blame Tom Hanks. I do wish New Wave made their toys just a little bigger. Quarter Arcades are too big, New Wave is too small. I wish I had bigger but not too big arcade game replicas. Dang I didn't wish on a Zoltar machine in the middle of a Jersey fair.
I hear you, I have a candy crane and I would replace it with a full size Zoltar machine ASAP if I could find one for a good price. It's such a cool and mysterious piece.

Just ordered one..
$50 shipping to Canada. Hard pass for me. I have all their previous cabinets and shipping was never this bad. Might be done buying their products if this is standard going forward.
I haven't checked on shipping for Zoltar, yet, but the shipping on the Coke machine was around $30 within the States. Shipping prices have just gotten insane across the board.
This is one of those channels I have to stay away from periodically, because I want to stay married.
