@@tweetalig now that I’m over 20k miles, it seems to be getting better. Right around 21k miles I started getting 19 on the highway

You can change the steering feel in the TRX in the performance settings guys.
It looked like the trx has a few more inches of flex. The raptor is cool, but the trx is BA! I do not like the 3.5 EcoBoost when I had one in an f150 so many issues with the motor.
It does flex a little more!
While the standard tire on the Raptor is still a 35, that optional 37 makes a difference in the specs. Take ground clearance, Ford pegs the 37-inch-equipped Raptor at 13.1 inches, while the TRX makes do with 11.8. Approach, breakover, and departure angles all improve with the 37s to 33.1, 24.9, and 24.4 inches, thus beating the TRX at 30.2, 23.5, and 21.9 respectively.
The Raptor's rear coil springs are a monumental 24 inches. That has implications for suspension travel.
The Raptor's setup allows for 14 inches of front suspension travel and 15 inches of rear travel. (Those figures are reduced about an inch by the 37-inch tire option.) On the 35s, the Raptor bests the TRX's 13 inches of travel front and rear, and has a slight advantage in rear travel on the 37s. So actually this should be wrong based on the specs alone and videos with proven tests. What might have happened was simple human error with positioning the trucks thus causing the Raptor to flex more than the TRX did making it seem like it might be able to flex more, because by standard specs the Raptor should flex more even if it had the 37-inch tire option. This can also be proven with the fact that we almost saw it dig the exhaust, the Raptor has overall better ground clearance than the TRX, and not only that but the Raptor is still JUST a little shorter in overall length, if the TRX was in the same position it would have scratched it's exhaust especially considering it's heavier. No matter how i look at it, it just doesn't make sense when everything points out that the Raptor has the overall better setup for flexing and clearing obstacles.
@@raionshishi8290 yeah they are so close in specs but out on the trails the trxs suspension just flexes better. You can clearly see it go into the wheel well further and droops down more. And if you know ford they falsely advertise all the time. Fuel economy, payloads etc. Its what people are doing in the real world that ultimately matters everything else are claims.

I worked for AAA back in the days when the Ram was called a Dodge Ram. It was by far the most towed truck on the market and that went for most of the Chryser range. Second was the 4 cylinder 4runner.
I never would thought I would loved a turbo V6 truck I was a V8 guy but the ecoboost when u live with it has so much power for in town driving and it sounds cool in the new raptor the gen 2 sounded great on intake and with a custom exhaust it’s 2022 we got get over the V8 stuff
I’m Team Raptor myself. I own a 2018 Gen 2 myself. Beautiful machine, I absolutely love it, am IN love with it and I wouldn’t want any other truck. A friend of mine actually HAD a Gen 3 and after nearly a month traded for a 2018 Gen 2 and he’s actually more happy with his Gen 2 as opposed to his previous Gen 3 🤷🏻♂️. Anyhoo, Team Raptor!!! Ford definitely more reliable. That Dodge is ok until you put it to hard work and after 70k miles, the the troubles begin with the Dodge. The Chevy truck is better than a Dodge.

Either truck is awesome. I hope they put the new hurricane engine in the TRX (TRX light) to compete with the Raptor. Then the regular TRX to compete against the Raptor R.

I had a gen 2 raptor and traded for a trx now i have a gen 3 raptor. All are top notch but my favorite is the gen 3 raptor. I like how nimble it feels and I like how I can tame it way down for daily driving and not rattle my neighbors windows every time I fire it up. Just my opinion.
They are definitely both top notch!

Most ppl buy the TRX for the motor the Baja capabilities is just a bonus 😎 I'd do the same not a fan of turbo lag especially with city driving
it is fun on and off the road! The raptor dosent have too bad of lag!
“Trx Baja capabilities”😂 the trx is badass dont get me wrong but for Baja capability raptor is the way to go! It was quite literally born in Baja. They did the old ford vs Ferrari trick and study the disciplines. Thats why I love ford always involved in every Motorsport.

Agree I've yet to have good luck with fords. All the fords have had major problems with low miles under 40k.
