Hi Rob, just to let you know that your videos helped me pass my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 (the latter about 3 hours ago) keep up the good work!
Fantastic news well done. Where did you pass?
@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Salisbury
Works for me.
You've also drummed into me to take Command position too 👍
FAB
Interesting the difference in training between UK and Ireland. I was taught - MILF - mirror, indicate, lifesaver, follow-through. Lifesaver = shoulder check. After the turn, it was PCA - position, cancel indicator, advance.
Bottom line - you NEVER stop learning and picking up new tips to help you.
Great tips. Thanks
These videos are fantastic ,theory test passed , cbt mod 1 and mod 2 to conquer study your vids every night ,extremely helpful 👍
Great to hear and good luck
Top tip - If you’re learning on a bike that has quite a heavy exhaust on the right side of the bike, to help keep your balance when coming to a stop a second or two before you stop, take your left foot off the foot-peg and straiten your leg for preparing to stop - taking it off the peg that little earlier helps keep your balance and stops the bike tipping to the right.
Good tip! thanks
gotta try that cheers
I passed my test in 2018 and what I found helpful for remembering to cancel my indicator was leave my thumb on the button while the indicator was on and take it away when it's off that way if I come off a rounderbout and my thumb was still on the button press the button then remove thumb even if u think uv cancelled ur signal if ur thumb is on the button press it before moving away from it
good tip well done
Thanks for that tip. Will save me tapping the cancel button every few seconds 😂
If it helps Frank that’s great 😃
Starting to click but still have those D’oh moments. Your videos are a great help I passed my test back in 1970 and totally amazed I didn’t kill my self. Only having to do it all again due to a muck up with DVLA 😡
Sorry to hear that Frank we have a lot of people in the same situation. Glad to hear the videos help
Cars have had self cancelling indicators for years, its about time they are fitted as standard on motorcycles as a standard fitting. I owned a 2014 VFR that had just such a system. Don't know how it operated but it worked well enough. I now own a Street Triple, I keep my thumb hovering over the switch. I'm completely out of touch with all the training and multiple testing that is now required. I passed my test in a local back street where the tester stood on the pavement while you completed a lefthand circuit and then a righthand circuit ... no pursuit system.. You could pass on a 125cc in the morning then ride a 500/650cc the next day..... happy days ....for some of us.!
New rider. Live in Essex I just hope that the people taking my mod one and two Use the same
Watched all your videos are very very helpful. X
David Barnes keep us posted and good luck
I find that talking the manoeuvre through whilst riding definitely helps to perfect luckily when doing the tests the radios arnt two way so the examiner won’t think your maaad 😁
Guvnar0161 P good tip
I picked that up from some of your other videos, a great tip and something that I keep forgetting to do! I'm sure this will be really helpful, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Great info good lockdown viewing next time i do the essential shopping on bike will use this. waiting for centres to reopen to do mod 1/2 trying to do mirrors/ signal/ headcheck/ manouvere/ cancel signals. when going from stop cancel signals when going into 2nd gear
Sounds great!
Great tip thanks !
Thanks glad you like the video
Like the idea. My instructor says to keep your thumb on the switch all the time until after the turn and you then press it to switch off, but i find that uncomfortable
Lots of tips, use what suits you. I don't like covering the indicator either it feels awkward. Glad you like the video.
Great routine, thank you.
Thanks glad you like the video
I live in australia and we have different rules here, is CBT like what you go for after you've had your L's
Hi, the CBT is a course you need before going on the road. So licence first then CBT.
Thanks for the very helpful video. I'm going to remember your technique to keep from failing the Japanese motorcycle test. I was watching your video a second time for review, and I noticed something that surprised me. What does the "THANK YOU NHS" at 1:29 mean? It looks like an official painted road marking, but I can't imagine why that message was painted on the street.
HEY great news thanks for getting in touch. NHS is the UK National Health Service and it’s an artist’s thank you for all the hard work they have done during COVID
@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Very cool; good to see your NHS being thanked!
@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Convid Scam lol ..good videos though thanaks
Did my CBT yesterday in leading up to mod1 and 2 . I always remembered to cancel the indicator but when looking down the indicator was still on no sure if it was my not doing it correct or the switch
In Pakistan the motorbike have a little buzzer(bee sound or a bug sound effect) or you can buy a loud relay which sounds along when the indicator is blinking which really helps that you have to put it off..
Some do here too. Should be standard but i think people think thats cheating lol
Cool, I want to hear that buzzer sound. I just saw a video of a retro Japanese bike that has a loud, beeping turn signal--the Honda CD125T: ua-cam.com/video/TeanMguItyc/v-deo.html To me, it sounds like the beep that some trucks make when they're backing up.
@@RJHMotorbikeTraining Hah, I might even select a similar bike over another if it had a cool turn signal sound.
@@diyfreediver that's it, Sorted, Happy days 🤣🤣
I left them on test last June, just cancelled before next turning few sec to spare, he never said anything about it , I passed 2 minors
I follow riders constantly who do this and i can't understand how they don't know it's happening.
These are also the same riders that tend not to indicate most of the time so i guess they just lack awareness and consideration.
yes they are about. watch out for them.
Simples .....
If it was simple it would be easy ;-)
@@RJHMotorbikeTraining I think you misunderstand my point.. your suggestion is simples. Don't know why this isn't standard practice with IAM/Roadsmart. I've been trying 'every road sign' after a junction, but that was rubbish.
Bob Dunn ah ye well often the simple things are the best. It works for me
👍👌
Glad you like the video
The 8th letter of the alphabet is H, as the principle of RJH one should pronounce this correctly. The dictionary spelling of H is Aitch, the H in Aitch is silent.
At the tender age of 55 no one has ever corrected me on this. There is a first for everything. Glad you like the vids
