I’m Shemp’s granddaughter & this is terrific!
Laughter in any language, culture across the world ❤️
Hello Sandie. Your grandfather, his brothers, and friends have cracked my family and friends up for years. I used to have a Shemp hair cut. My aunt would chase me around with a pair of scissors. 😂
That's so cool to have had one of the funniest grandpas on Planet Earth, plus funny relatives too! They're the best!!! 😂
Shemps my favorite stooge. 😉👍
Sandie, your grandfather was AWESOME...
Wait what?! Thas fakin awesome!!
Im 62 and i still watch the stoogies😊 They need to see Curly that will have them laughing hard
I smoke up, watch the Stooges, and laugh till my ribs are sore 😂.
Shemp rules!
My sister looked just like Shemp.
I'm 65 and still watching them. 👍
Indubitably!
I must have seen this a 100 times as a kid here in West Virginia USA but watching these 3 men watch this for the first time makes me So Happy for them!....Its like seeing it again for the first time through their eyes! :)
💯
Wohooo Go WV. Grew up in Martinsburg WV. Eastern Panhandle.
Glad they enjoyed the Stooges. Watching the Three Stooges was a big part of my childhood. I even got to see them live in the mid 60s (with Joe DeRita). This is the first I've ever heard them referred to as smart 😆.
IKR 😆! I too watch the Three Stooges growing up 'n consider them all my Jewish Uncles as they were the BEST baby sitters ever!
They even got to watch the real Shemp Howard in one of the 3 Stooges shows
I hope they do something similar with red skelton and his pantomimes. While I love the stooges I can never get enough of him especially the parts where he tries to catch the foley crew off guard.
They should be showing them It aint half hot mum! or even better still Mind your Langauge! HILARIOUS!
@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 How's the shedding doin' Dan? 😆
This is one of the funniest reactions I have ever seen. These three guys are great! We need more videos of these three guys watching the Stooges.
I would luv to see them react to the Microphonies...the one where Curly's Seniorita La Cucaracha 😜
I'd like to see them watch Buster Keaton 😅
@Skydogfan I think if we broadcast the Stooges all around the world for 3 days , we would have a more peaceful, loving, and joyful world.
@@mrkcioffi _Wise guy!_
@@mrkcioffi Right? And this one’s without Curley!
It's great to see that The Stooges still make people laugh. There's a lot of humor in the dialog that'll be missed by non-English speakers but fortunately the physical comedy overrides language barriers. This was a good Shemp episode to show. If these gentlemen would like to see more Stooges perhaps you could show them a short with Curly.
Yup, slapstick/physical comedy is one of the easiest forms of comedy to reach across both cultural *and* generational boundaries.
Yes. They must see curly.. and the curly shuffle
My grandfather spoke no English yet loved the Three Stooges. Their comedy is legendary
Yes! Curly does that whole routine with the whiskey making him spin around on his barstool, then with the clams in the chowder stealing his crackers without saying a word!
Lovely to see their reactions. Wonderful how the 3 Stooges really are timeless and cross all cultural boundaries.
As long as you don't tell 'em they're Jewish. Then all bets are off. 😥
Man fall down. Other man get angry. 3rd man has no clue.
That formula will always work. 😂
Absolutely Joyful!!
A testament to the stooges genius. Even though they couldn't fully understand the language, they were still able to piece the story together. Still making people laugh all over the world!
This is precious.
The innocence of their reactions - it could be any of us, at any age, the first time we ever saw the Stooges.
I grew up in the 80’s watching The Three Stooges and loved every minute of what I was watching. This stuff is about 100 years old and still hits today. Wow!
....well, you couldn't be more WRONG ! This particular Stooges short was released in 1947.......100 years old ? I would say that your math isn't very good......try again.....
@@urbanurchin5930 Don't think he was trying to be serious or accurate Just ment it metaphorically. TRY AGAIN
@@urbanurchin5930From the 'net -
While Ted Healy was appearing in New York in 1923, Moe ran into his childhood friend who, with wife Betty, was wowing audiences on the vaudeville circuit with the stage revue Syncopated Toes. Moe and later Shemp joined Healy's act as stooges for a couple sketches, but each left by mid-1925 for married life. Ted & Betty graduated to Broadway for The Earl Carroll Vanities in 1925, but after several months they relaunched their own show with stooge Lou Warren, and then were rejoined by Shemp. Hitting the Broadway stage again, first in 1926 for the Shuberts' Passing Show, the Healys co-starred with Phil Baker in A Night in Spain in early 1927 for a 2-year run which included a national tour. Ted expanded his stooge roster for Spain to include Shemp, Lou, Moody Braun and Bobby Pinkus. Larry entered the story in March 1928 during Spain's 4-month run in Chicago when Ted and Shemp caught his nightclub act and were instantly impressed by his dancing, and most importantly, his humor. By Spain's closing in December 1928, Shemp and Larry were Ted's top stooges. During Spain, Ted & Betty also continued to work a solo act in nightclubs, but the couple split in late 1928, setting the stage for another evolution in the stooges. Ted signed to co-star in the Shuberts' 1929 Broadway show A Night in Venice. Shemp and Larry rejoined, plus newcomer Fred Sanborn... and Moe Howard returned after a 3+ year absence! With Betty gone, Ted revised his solo act to spotlight his stooges, and "Ted Healy & His Southern Gentlemen," aka "Ted Healy & His Racketeers," worked vaudeville, nightclubs and even radio during Venice's run. After drawing rave reviews and Venice's closure, the group was signed by Fox Films in spring 1930 to do their first motion picture, Soup to Nuts. The Stooges stole the show and left Healy to go solo for the next two years.

@@urbanurchin5930 What he said is perfectly correct in Stooge math.
Love you guys! Watching the 3 Stooges has not been as much fun since I was a child.
I am glad that the villagers got a chance to see The Three Stooges for the first time and that they enjoyed and laughed at their slap comedy. I hope they will see more their episodes in the near future!🥰👍🏻
Real SLAP stick
I grew up in 1950, 60 and 70 watching The three Stooges. Also watched Roy Rogers,Hop-Along- Cassidy and The Lone Ranger. Glad you guys enjoyed the movie. Brings back childhood memories to me.
The electric company, schoolhouse rock and bozo the clown too. 🙂 in the 70's anyway
Same here. They were a lot of fun.
I had a Hop-a-Long lunchbox and still have the broken wristwatch
@@TooLooze that's awesome. My brother and I had the glass coffee cup and cereal bowl.
And - Sky King - Rin Tin Tin - Lassie - The Little Rascals with Spanky and Alfalfa
We used to go to the local rec Centre and watch them every Saturday morning
The joy in watching people enjoy the fresh experience of something you've enjoyed your whole life is something else. Like when children love the things you grew up with.
This is heart warming, seeing the Villagers laughing at what I and my friends grew up with... Shows what pure comedy is... Must have been their first taste of slapstick, even heard an "Oh My G*d!"
Some things in this Life are just Universal. Timeless. And Universal - no matter where you live, or where you're from. This is epic.
the Three Stooges are timeless. comedic genius. 100 years old and still as funny now as the day they were filmed.
The first Stooges shorts were filmed and released in 1932 - this particular episode in 1947......so you are about a decade off ...... maybe you don't know how to do math......
No matter how many times I watch this short, it makes me laugh, puts me in a good mood. It is awesome to see someone experience it for the first time.
Shemp was actually the original before Curly. He was also the older brother to Moe and Curly.. Hollywood wanted him because he was so funny. Moe told him he should take the opportunity in case The Stooges don't make it. I think he is the funniest person to ever live.
I love the 3 stooges. I still watch them. Started watching them as a kid in the 70's.
*One of my favorite jokes in the whole series*
Moe: *measuring a room* "How many feet do you got?"
Curly: *literally counts his feet* "Two! :D"
Moe: 😑
Moe to Curly: "SLAP!"
My favorite joke is:
Moe : "What's one plus one?"
Larry : "Two."
Moe: "What's two plus two?"
Larry : "Four."
Moe: "Multiplying eh."
Moe then smacks the shit outta Larry (like a pimp smacks a how).
One of my favorites is when Moe kept calling Pennyfeather by the wrong coin. "Listen here, Nickelfeather!"
Moe: *What's that?*
Curly: *A fist*
*SLAP*
That was wonderful, Normally I can't stand watching reaction videos, but this had a new aspect and these men were unpretentious and as genuine as could be.
Dear God, the only thing better than the 3 Stooges is watching people watch them for the first time. Thank you!
The 3 Stooges are classic. Very, very popular. I remember watching them as a kid. Glad the guys enjoyed!
🥰 There you are! So glad you suggested these, Monica! Have you been doing okay? I doubt our paths will cross in this lifetime, but when we get to heaven I’m gonna hug the crap out of you, fam! 💖🙏🕊

Glad 😊🙂☺️ the Villagers enjoy it. Nothing like the 3 Stooges bring Alot of Joy Everywhere.
It is so refreshing to see this. These guys remind me of my innocence as a young boy. Makes you realize how tainted we've become in our culture!
Yeah this wouldn't even register as funny to the tik tok generation. What the implication of that is, I don't know. But it sucks!
Some forms of humor are universal, and this proves it. Just shows how great the Stooges were.
So wonderful to see these gentlemen laugh at slapstick comedy that's 100 years old now, proving that The Stooges are timeless. They really need to see a short with Curly next. 😊
grew up watching the Stooges! they will never ever be duplicated!
Love the reactions. Comedy can unite all of us.These dudes are so wholesome.
“He has a good slapping technique!” 😂
The Three Stooges always brighten my day . They never fail .
Their reactions made The 3 Stooges even more comical! 😂😂😂😂😂
They Would Love The Three Stooges "Disorder In The Court" Episode.❤
"He has a good slapping technique" lmao
I'm amazed how much I enjoyed watching them enjoy the video!
80 years and their humor as universal as ever.
I'm 34, and Three Stooges still make me laugh after all these years. They used to air them on TV on a Retro channel when I was a kid. It makes me happy to see how these good people can enjoy them for the first time and laugh like I did when I was a kid.
As a kid, I would get up early on Saturday morning to watch the Three Stooges. They are ridiculous, and I still find them to be hilarious. I'm glad the villagers could appreciate the nutty slapstick humor.
el humor es universal, el ingles no es mi lengua e igual amo a los 3 chiflados en cualquier idioma
Laughter is indeed a universal language ❤️
The World needs more Larry, Moe, Curly and Shrimp than ever almost a century after their debut.
The Stooges are universal. Grew up on reruns in the 1970s after my older brother turned me onto them. I was all Gilligan's Island until then. He also introduced me to the Little Rascals.
The Stooges were comedy geniuses. Even 70 years after this short was made, people on the other side of the planet are enjoying it. Luckily for us, the Stooges made over 160 shorts to enjoy!
I've seen pretty much every Three Stooges clip before but what was making me laugh so hard was seeing these three guys laughing and enjoying it so much. Comedy transcends the language barrier ☺
@JB Scotch. Hey JB, You said it. Laughter reveals our true human nature, unfiltered through the ego and prejudice. Let's broadcast the stooges all over the world for 3 days. It would be a joyful place.
@@mrkcioffi Im all for that brother!!
The Stooges are really popular in Latin America from what I've seen. Looks as if their humor really translates across cultures.
Very nice to see these simple people laugh with the three stooges and have a fun time, that proves that humor is a universal language and it doesn't matter if you speak English or not.
Who else here-is jealous of these guys?Pure Joy💚

Curly’s Grandson has a channel on the UA-cam’s. I sent this to him. Curious about his reaction. 🤓
I love that they said The Three Stooges are “smart” and “they are intelligent.” Just amazing! 😆
Well, he was just referring to Moe switching the paper out of the jacket, keeping the safe combination, which was actually a rare good move by a Stooge....
They were pretty smart and adept in this one. They're usually more bumbling and accidentally get through things, but in this one they took charge the whole time and got the better of everyone else.
What is his channel? I would like to check it out. Did you know Curly rescued over 5,000 dogs in his lifetime. One of the first people to do dog rescues. Many people do not know that.
@@BBBYpsi That's great, but I'm glad it wasn't Moe. All the dogs would've gotten bopped on the head.

Who doesn’t like / love The Stooges…. Good to see these guys having a good laugh and enjoying themselves.
It was exciting watching someone else enjoy The Stooges for the first time as much as I did growing up.
Thank you. I have watched the Stooges all my life. But these three men have given me more
This was almost as fun as watching this as it was when I watched them so many years ago. It makes you feel like a kid again when you see people enjoying them for the first time. You can see the glean of childhood thoughts in their elders eyes. #Verycool
As a life long practicing Stoogiologist, I found this to be absolutely priceless 👍
The Stooges should make the whole world laugh. I don't care in what country they put a smile on our face and cheer us up. 😃
The Stooges' comedy translates into any language.
I love these videos of classic comedy thank you
Truly heartwarming. It shows that humor can transcend place and time. I think the stooges would be proud and extremely humbled.
This whole video is hilarious! It’s great to see these gentlemen whom never seen the stooges enjoy it. They’re absolutely loving it.
Your videos are great! I like that they are long and show as much of the original content as UA-cam allows.
Your participants are also a lot of fun and represent a good range of age!
I'd love to see them react to an old horror movie, like Nosferatu or a Boris Karloff Frankenstein.
Since they enjoyed the Three Stooges, they should react to some of their situational short with ghosts/monsters. It would leave them in stitches! How Moe's bangs always fly up when he's scared out of his mind! Funny stuff indeed!
We've been rollin' on the floor howlin' our guts out ! ! Priceless ! ! Immediate share ! ! ! !
Seeing other people of a different culture enjoying the Stooges made my day. I had a brand new enjoyment of the Stooges myself just watching these fellows laughing and having a great time.
I know it, they doubled my laughs from watching their reaction, and the Stooges at the same time...! Great stuff
Perhaps some "Little Rascals" would tickle their funnybones as well!
Raeen is a tailor himself and was not here for this??
These guys have good taste in comedy. You guys should do more Three Stooges episodes.
They get it. The Stooges are universal. It's hard but I think my all time favorite was 'A Plumbing We Will Go'.
Fun watching them but 80% went over their heads.
Maybe 20%, they got all the physical stuff, and surprised me in picking up a few of the spoken gags
This was great! I hope you also show them a Three Stooges with Curly in it. He changes out with Shemp. I actually like him better. Trust me, it will be worth it.
As a child, I preferred Curly but as an adult, I've come to appreciate Shemp's comedic timing 'n adult jokes that flies over kids head!
This was wonderful to witness. It is heartwarming.
It would be something to be able to watch a Three Stooges film for the first time... again, at age 51.
I'm 48 and my dad used to take us to a pizza place here in Texas called Fargos, they had a room with tables where they showed The Three Stooges, Little Rascals, Mighty Mouse and Popeye. Seeing these always reminds me of those simpler times when my dad was here kn earth with us.
I always enjoy watching people discover The Three Stooges for the first time. Watching people laugh at them nowadays shows just how timeless they are. This video also shows how their brand of slapstick humor is universal regardless of language or culture.
Should have given them a proper one with Curly. Shemp did all right, but he was no Curly!
Shemp did alright? Why w/o Shemp, there wouldn't be a Curly to take his place!
Do you even know the history of the Three Stooges act? They were part of Ted Healy 'n His Stooges! They'd first performed their act live on Vaudeville stages across the country. Then they took the act to Hollywood.
The Three Stooges pulled away from Ted Healy 'n called themselves The Three Stooges. They originally consisted of Moe, Larry, & Shemp!
Shemp left the act to broaden his career in Hollywood 'n did some appearances in a lot comedy films 'n also had his own movie shorts series.
In the meantime, Curly stepped in Shemp's place 'n that when they started making shorts for Columbia Pictures. Shemp only came back to the act when Curly had his stroke 'n wasn't able to continue the act.
There's only one short that has all three Howard brothers 'n Larry on film 'n that's the short called: Hold That Lion! Curly has a cameo in this one. He's the guy sleeping under a derby. You can't miss his distinctive snoring 'n woo-woo-wooing 😂 but many do miss is him having a full head of hair! Here's a short clip of that scene:
ua-cam.com/video/0vWbrLb3-_I/v-deo.html
Per Wikipedia:
"Director Jules White remembers:
It was a spur of the moment idea. Curly was visiting the set; this was some time after his stroke. Apparently he came in on his own since I didn't see a nurse with him. He was sitting around, reading a newspaper. As I walked in, the newspaper, which he had in front of his face, came down and he waved hello to me. I thought it would be funny to have him do a bit in the picture, and he was happy to do it.[4]"
I would like the link here but UA-cam would hide my response as they now are blocking outside link sources due to 'misinformation' issues.

One of my favorite gags in this particular episode:
FLOSSIE: (to Terry Hargen), "Here you are sugarplum."
TERRY HARGEN: (talking to Flossie and taking the suit from her hands), checks the watch pocket for the safe combination says to Flossie, "I knew you'd come through baby."
TERRY HARGEN: (Has look of happiness on his face when he thinks he is taking the safe combination from the pocket. He quickly turns mad when he reads), "received in full Pip Boys Cleaners", (camera close up on the receipt).
TERRY HARGEN: (now mad), "why the dirty...," (he goes to check for his money also, while Flossie has a look of dismay on her face and is straightening up her hat). *"They even took my bank roll, those dirty crooks."*
