One of the most underrated kit in the IBO storyline get a refreshed look this time. Going for the a more industrial color scheme this time to set it apart from the norm. Other than that, I'm ditching its rifle and swap them all out for 5 Katanas as well as some custom Katana holders and backpack. this video really made my day. i dont want to go into a whole sob story about how gunpla helps me deal with my mental health, but the grimgerde was my first ever hg. it really makes me happy to see this kit get so much love and see how everyone develops as a builder. even when you started, you were good, but you managed to be even better. thanks man for being an inspiration to gunpla builders everywhere.

Bruh, I love the Grimgerde. My favorite thing about your job here are your thigh panel lines. Very non-traditional style. Gives the build a lot of personality.

@@StudioGundam another thing that can tell a story is the armor it's self. Like if you take it and recreate it but not as smooth, it says that the armor was quickly and sloppily repaired or recreated, same can go for the limbs aswell
Wow. This model was my first customization. And I too chose to fully change the paint job. But your results are, uh... better than mine were. But that's okay, there's no shame in having room to grow. I'm still having a ton of fun.

That samurai design you put into the armor came out great, you can really tell with the detail.
"As the fight rages on, the clash of metal and the lights of explosion can be seen from miles away. Barbatos was on the verge of victory against Vidar, only to have Grimgerde arrive and save Vidar from it's demise. Now it's 2 against 1 and all three units are pushing their limits. For a brief moment in the fight Barbatos let's out a howl that stuns the enemies. This howl was transmitted everywhere so everyone can hear it. The fight continues between the three but now a new ahab wave appears. Who has Barbatos summoned, find out next time on Studio G." Love the work you do and will say you were the reason I got into Gunpla.

I like that, while posing, you had vidar do a 2 handed static block on Barbatos, as it really emphasises the weight and power those weapons carry. Good luck blocking any of those strikes with one arm.

Incredible work. Your videos have inspired me to get into Gunpla building. I've been a fan of Gundam for a very long time and want to begin building. Thank you for sharing your progress for everyone else to see.
More simply stunning work. Gotta agree with the grimgerde being an under rated MS. The only think I can think to change on the base kit would be to maybe putty in the backs of the arm shields. Wile they look so cool, some angles just look holo. Also opens up some more scribing/panelining opportunity. Love your work and these bonus story elements are super fun.

IMO ibo gundams and mobile suits are the best to customize.
The armor is easy to paint and separate the inner frame. Its just perfect for customs! And the fact that some parts have 3 mm holes also make it easy to customize!
I feel like this is what Batman’s gundam would look like. I don’t know why it just gives me batman vibes.

For full disclosure, my IBO collection consists of (in order of acquisition): Grimgerde, Lupus, Lupus Rex, Reginlase Julia. Loving every single one (3 of them got custom painted too). Vidar was in contention to be included in my quartet, but lost out to Julia in the end (cos I couldn't find inspiration for custom paint scheme for Vidar... painter's block I guess).

I still have him in the box, he was the first in the series that I bought. the form and proportion of this guy looks just right and balance to me, and I'm afraid I would mess him up since I'm not that experienced with customizing.

Grimgerde is one of my favourite suits. Both the kit and in the anime. This might just get me back into building gundam LOOL 😂
