Just beautiful Sam always loved George's songs Great rhythm and certainly perfect slide. Your on top Sam. They get no better. As a matter of fact they don't touch your perfection. Love it every time 👍🎸
This song never fails to make me tear up. Between the pretty capoed 12-string acoustic and the glassy lyrical multitracked slide guitars. You’ve replicated it to a tee. My hat is off, good sir!
I was hoping to see if you would do a song from living in the material world! I can say I’m not disappointed. also great tone on the 12 string!! And the slides too of course
One of the first ever songs I learned to play by ear 🙂 So pleased to know all the chords I've played on this song for the last 20 years were 100% correct. Thank you Sam!
@@johnniebellamy5912 Yep! During the Beatle Help! sessions, he had that guitar for a quite short period of time but it's unclear if it was stolen or not It also appears in the Lucy in the Sky session photos, you can see him using it
@@StereoClassicsyeah Mal ordered John and George matching 1961 Sonic Blue Strats right before recording Help! John’s isn’t seen from 66-1970. The blue strat John is using during Lucy In the Sky sessions was George’s (see back of headstock sticker) George painted his Strat psychedelic colors in 67 and named it Rocky. This became his main slide guitar from 1970 onwards He is seen in 1971 during the Imagine sessions playing John’s sonic blue, which had been modded with a maple neck
I like to see Sam's George covers! Is one of the beatiful things that I ever heard/see in my life, totally enjoyable! Wanting see more of solo beatles career covers
Good job Sam. My colored vinyl version arrives in three days. I listened to this record endlessly back when it was released in 73. A lot of songs not included in All Things Must Pass.
Nice! I love that little run down from D major to D Major 7 to D7...I was noodling with this the other day and I thought it sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. Now I know where it comes from!
Truly outstanding! I tried my hand at the slide parts and realized I didn’t have the chops for it. Yet. Is your Strat set up for slide? Are you using heavier strings than you might usually use?
I like my guitars with a higher action generally, so right now my strat’s string height is balanced so it’s high enough for slide but not too high to bend and play regular guitar. 10 gauge Ernie ball slinkys
man i could have sworn one of the guitars was playing 9th fret b string on the first note of the solo but this sounds really close so i think i might me going insane
YESSSS, one of my favorite opening tracks! Starting to listening George's solo work and I totally LOVE this album ॐ

4 slide guitars? I never noticed before. Excellent job.

I always likes your videos when you use the slide to play guitar.
Could you do I Live For You de George Harrison? please
George Harrison has talent off the planet. One of the very best artists in his own right.
Niceee job, i always thought the acoustic guitar at 0:47 was also doing the piano or lead guitar sort of licks going D-Dmaj7-D7 into the G7
I did too! But studied the isolated and George is just sticking to straight chords, no sus
Excellent cover of this George Harrison's beautiful masterpiece ❤
Amazing slide skills
Indeed!
Guitar sounds perfect ! 🎸👏👏👏👏👏🎸
Díganme que no soy el único que escucha la voz de George por alguna razón está en mi cabeza el tempo y su voz
Only the brave take the challenge of playing George's perfect slide guitar playing to UA-cam! Really nicely done!
Crazy restraint, just one acoustic! So spot on.
One of my favorites
this is my favorite george harrison song and you nailed it!
This is one of my favorite George Harrison's song. Thank you for this video Sam!
Excellent slide guitar work, Sam
I was hoping to see if you would do a song from living in the material world! I can say I’m not disappointed. also great tone on the 12 string!! And the slides too of course
Stunning slide parts! You've really captured the way George had the ability to make those layered parts still sound so clean and melodic.
Woooooow. Great job man. dunno what to tell about this masterpiece. It just send me to an another universe. thank you.
Nice tone!
The 12 string is really invoking some Help album vibes.
One of the first ever songs I learned to play by ear 🙂

Love The Blue Guitar
Didn't John Have A Guitar Similar To That?

Yes, if I remember correctly some one like Mal Evans or Brian Epstein ordered for two identical strats for John and George.

Love your solo George covers!!
My sweet Lord, that is good!
My favourite slide part of George’s. You nailed it!
IVE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR SO LONG🤩🤩🤩
I like to see Sam's George covers! Is one of the beatiful things that I ever heard/see in my life, totally enjoyable! Wanting see more of solo beatles career covers
one of the most joyful satisfying songs to play on acoustic :) thank you for sharing
Love the track to death so much. I always thought the slide part was a pedal steel.
That’s just how accurate george is on slide! I struggled to get it as in tune as him
This is such a wonderful song, from the chord progression to the lyrics and this cover absolutely does it justice. Another awesome job Sam!
AWESOME!! Hit n1 by Harrison!! Thanks, cheers from Argentina, keep going!!!!
Gorgeous...one of George's greatest, and now one of yours!
Great cover as always Sam! And from playing guitar I know how hard this song is on 12-string especially the Gm chord 😂 top notch playing there 💪🏼
Good job Sam. My colored vinyl version arrives in three days. I listened to this record endlessly back when it was released in 73. A lot of songs not included in All Things Must Pass.
Sounds great Sam 🙂🎵🎶🎸🎸🎸
One of my favorties from george, love this cover and as always good job man!
Perfect 🎉👏👏 from Yokohama, Japan 🇯🇵
Nice! This is a beautiful cover. Would you consider doing Circles by George? I’d love to see a cover of that slide guitar.
Yes! Todd Packer
Always incredibly well done. 👍 George’s Slide Tone Recreation is spot on.
Incredible as always!
please do dark horse (I adore the early take)
Another great cover in your long line of outstanding covers...
That was insane, Sam! Finally, someone nailed this solo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Well done 👍🎉
Incredible Sam!!!! Thanks for sharing your cover. Always a pleasure watching them.
Nice choice and another smooth effort.
Love it man!! This song has been stuck in my head for a couple weeks and now i can watch this to learn it! (Unlikely but at least possible lol😅)
god that slide part just sounds amazing, good job dude
Excellent delivery! Slide work was spot on!
Good lad.
AWSOME! Sam, you are a great guitarist and you are one of the reasons I’ve learned guitar. I’m not gonna give up!
Excellent cover, Sam! I'm loving the new remixes of LITMW songs as well! I'm hoping some of George's Dark Horse records get remixed someday, too!
Nice seeing you play the 12-string!!👏👏 And the harmony slides!!♥️
Superb!
Fantastic as usual! Can you please do “This is Love” from Cloud Nine next? 💙🎶
I back this comment
What a song ! What a cover !
Great job ! Thanks from France ❤
Wow, one of my favorites Sam! You sound awesome!!👏👏👏
Nice shirt man... oh and the slide guitar precision is amazing too
Amazing cover once again! I love your vids, and it's so nice hearing some George covers again.
Nice! I love that little run down from D major to D Major 7 to D7...I was noodling with this the other day and I thought it sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. Now I know where it comes from!
Was so surprised when I saw this! Had to grab my guitar and play with you. Amazing!!
Awesome! I always suspected the slide guitar was in an open tuning. George was experimenting a lot with open tuning in this album
Sounds awesome, love it!
You’re incredible! Love to hear it
Awesome!
Sounds great!
Hell yeah! Smash that thumbnail!
please do Who Can See It!! 🥰
not sure how these requests work but PLEASE do Light That Has Lighted the World soon!!! That song and Give Me Love are two of my favorites.
👍👍👍👍👍
♥️
👍😀👍
Sam Harrison!
It's all too much!👋

@@sampopkin thanks for reply. I do prefer low action and .09s, which of course makes slide difficult.
First
50th anniversary?
Full cover?
@ 0:13 the beat is off? Anyone notice?
That’s how the original is too
Yeah the first “echoed” slide guitar part is a bit fast in this video.
update: yeah i get what you mean now it is a little off, doesnt ruin it for me though i can’t not hear it now
On your next cover can you use the drums, fender precision bass, and squier Stratocaster??
Didn’t think there were four guitars
you are getting better all the taaaim 🎶 is it true he had flats on his strat? which strings are you using?
He probably only used flats on the strat early on in 1965. I just have Ernie Ball slinkys 10-46
All the way the capone.
man i could have sworn one of the guitars was playing 9th fret b string on the first note of the solo but this sounds really close so i think i might me going insane
Yeah I originally thought george was sliding into the A note for the lower harmony on G#
But he starts on G to get to A
Can you do I heard it through the grapevine ????
Please living in the material world song
Could have sworn the main acoustic was a 6 string on the original version
Check out the outtake from new box set. It’s easier to hear the nuances because it’s just acoustic
Gimme some truth cover?
