The BEST TRX-4 out there you really pulled away from the rest with this build. Applause for Knight Customs insane scale attention from them and yourself well done she beautiful!!thx for your time.✌
Thanks for your feedback! I hope the interior panel works well enough with this - tip for when/if you do it, use Tamiya Flat Clear so it's not shiny. Biggest pet peeve is when the interior has a gloss finish.
Go with the red ones they look better with the logo and add to all the parts that he made for this rig! I have to say that have to give the TRX 4 some love now . Never thought that it was going to look this good TY for doing it up like this and changing my mind on it and to ''Knight customs'' for all the sweet parts that make this one a winer.
Thanks for your feedback Troi, yes, while I'm still lukewarm on the truck as a whole, I really like the paint and detailing work. That's always the most fun for me. Thanks for watching!
You Are welcome , Your parts are the tops! And Iamd working on a SCX 10 ll with a TF2 body on it and am looking to do a full engine bay from your parts will the ones you have for the Pro-Line lexan Toyota body work in the TF2 hard body That I have ?
Very nice Mat! Perfect job and good tips! I would prefer the red rims, fits perfect to the red details on the body. I have to make also a custom body for my TRX4!
Nice looking paint job.... If you have a vinyl cutter you can make your own stencils or you could find a place that does vinyl work and have then cut them out for you. Much easier than cutting masking tape.
Yeah, but that takes away any skill! There's something to be said for old fashioned. I'd much rather have hand-cut graphics than something cut out by a machine.
Awesome build 👍🏼 I'm waiting on my new clear body as well. Gonna do a limited edition Fire and Ice, Fire version in that awesome orange and black color scheme. I have tons of Knights Customs parts as well.
I thought I preferred the black rings too, but red just seemed to work better for this specific build. Thanks for watching and greetings from the other part of the continent!
This will be the first time I've said this. Really nice Traxxas, man. I'm leaning towards the red rings, they bring the stripes and Knight customs logo out a bit more.
Looks great man ..i myself would keep the red rings as it goes with the red strip and logo.. Eather way though it looks awesome like all ur rigs... Thumbs up from me
I was honoured to be featured in RCCA. Always fun to see your stuff in print. Yeah, couldn't do blacked out windows. I want to have a driver and interior in this thing!
Great video, very clean look. The parts you added give the push it needed. Have you thought about tucking in a light bar on top with the roof rack. I think the black rings.
I might do a light bar, not sure yet Brad. There's a lot of pieces coming in the mail that should really push this over the top. Thanks for watching, as usual!
The Traxxas TR4 chassis seems a pretty interesting RC platform. But the main problem I have with that Land Rover Body are these Bushwhacker fender flares. They kinda destroy the boxy shape of the Defender. And the wheels are too wide. Is it possible to put on narrower wheels on it?
You can put whatever offset you want on there that will clear a portal axle. I don't mind the fenders, but can totally see a stock look looking much better. Thanks for watching!
Scale Builder's Guild thats very interesting! Thank you. And you probably did a Video comparing Axial SX10 2 and the notorious Traxxas TR4. I do have e an old Tamiya HMMWV but its not very interesting anymore and not easy to sell in Germany. Its because its an Army Hummer. Keep on with your interesting videos. Maybe show different Body posibilities for the TR4 like Land Cruiser, Patrol, FJ40, or about leaf springs in RC car area.
I'd surely vote for the red rings! Nice job, and a set of very entertaining while honest and informative videos, so - thanks for that! :) I may have missed that, but - what model/make *ARE* these rims to begin with?
Pro-Line BFG T/A KX 1.9's. Awesome tire. Buy them here and save 10% with code: SBG10 www.prolineracing.com/tires/bfgoodrich-krawler-t-a-kx-1-9-g8-rock-terrain-truck-tires/
To bad they precut the holes, then it's going to be hard to discard the topheavy exo - cage. That's why I chose the 1966 Chevrolet C10 proline body, så I can drive the truck challenging places, without it toppling over at every turn or the slightest lean.
I think that body choice is as unique as the user. I don't mind heavy as it presents more challenges and looks way more realistic in video. Thanks for your feedback!
On account of im not exactly ...filthy rich so I got crafty with a cardboard box and a piece of glass from a picture frame along with some lights running on a couple 9 volts. works just fine and costed me nothing haha.
Ha, yes. It's actually a decent mic, but it's got two settings that are very close to each other and I (obviously) chose the wrong one for the majority of this video! Thanks for watching!
That paint job is absolutely flawless. Excellent work!
Amazing compliment! Thanks so much for watching.
The BEST TRX-4 out there you really pulled away from the rest with this build. Applause for Knight Customs insane scale attention from them and yourself well done she beautiful!!thx for your time.✌
Beauty! Thanks for the compliments! Knight Customs really does change the game, that's for sure.
Thanks Jahmen!
Nice job. Red rings on the wheels are great!
Thanks very much!
looks good body work~
Cheers! Thanks for watching!
I think the red rings will stand out much better than just black wheels by the way great video and thanks for the interior idea
Thanks for your feedback! I hope the interior panel works well enough with this - tip for when/if you do it, use Tamiya Flat Clear so it's not shiny. Biggest pet peeve is when the interior has a gloss finish.

Red! Awesome build & detail.
Awesome, thanks for your feedback!
Wow! Awesome work! Loving that color scheme!
I knew when I saw it, I had to recreate it! Thanks for watching!
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!
- McCroskey
Nice job! TY!
Very nice Mat! Perfect job and good tips! I would prefer the red rims, fits perfect to the red details on the body. I have to make also a custom body for my TRX4!
Thank you Matteo! I hope to see some upgrades on your TRX soon!
So glad I subscribed to your channel. I'm just getting back into this and its crazy on how your doing this build. Super impressed
Cheers! Thanks for the sub!
red rings look great
Thanks for the feedback!
Wow ~ It's so cool. Your car is really original.
Thank you very much!
Great paint work. I vote red rings. Accents the knight customs logo nicely.
Red rings it is! Thanks for the feedback, and for watching!
Red Ring's.. sweet job
Cheers!

looks sharp so far!!
Thanks!
Awesome build 👍🏼 I'm waiting on my new clear body as well. Gonna do a limited edition Fire and Ice, Fire version in that awesome orange and black color scheme. I have tons of Knights Customs parts as well.
Cool, can't wait to see what others come up with. Thanks for watching!
The mixed rings look cool, but I prefer the black ones.
Greetings from Costa Rica
I thought I preferred the black rings too, but red just seemed to work better for this specific build. Thanks for watching and greetings from the other part of the continent!
Red rings for sure 👍
Thanks for the vote!
Nice work.
Thanks very much!
Great stuff as always.
Much appreciated!
This will be the first time I've said this. Really nice Traxxas, man. I'm leaning towards the red rings, they bring the stripes and Knight customs logo out a bit more.
Hahaha, yeah, not a compliment you often hear! Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for watching!
I say leave the rings mixed, i think i goes very well with both colors so why not haha. Great job man!!
Thanks for the feedback!
Red rings . They match with the horse and the rainbow.
I prefer to think of it as a sunset, but I'll accept rainbow. Ha! Thanks for watching!
Looks great man ..i myself would keep the red rings as it goes with the red strip and logo.. Eather way though it looks awesome like all ur rigs...
Thumbs up from me
Thumbs up from me as well! Thanks for the feedback.
I like the red rings. The red rings complement the color strips on the lower body.
Awesome, thanks!
Tip for a cheat light table use a glass coffee table and put a bed side standard lamp underneath works as a light table
Good idea! I've started using a portable light tablet that plugs into USB. Perfect for tracing anywhere!
Its hard to go bad with the black rings, but with the color of the body, red rings looks pretty sweet
I ended up choosing red. Thanks!
Watching this 5 years late, haha this is great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Red rings seem to compliment the Knights logo & the red Hi-lift jack ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
Great mate. It looks nice. If you add door lines , shadows it will be outstanding. Both tires are nice but keep red 1 step better.
Ooof! I just sold this truck this week!
Look out Hemistorm
Nice job mate came out looking really cool 😎
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻 oh by the way black rings
Ha! I've got a long way to go before I can claim Hemi-status! ;) Thanks for the feedback!
Leave the rings mixed. Great build btw.
I totally agree with the red in the back and black in the front..
Four votes! Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Burnishing tool? Didn't even know I needed one of these utensils until now
Amazing what you find when you need a tool, right?!
hey just saw the half track in reader's rides. thanks for ditching the pimp tint on the windows in this thing.
I was honoured to be featured in RCCA. Always fun to see your stuff in print. Yeah, couldn't do blacked out windows. I want to have a driver and interior in this thing!

Nice work I like it👍👊
Thank you sir!
The A-Team
TA? More like, BA! Ha! Thanks for watching.
Black rings definitely
Will it not fit the scx10 if adjust??
Red rings forsure on this one.
Cheers for the feedback!

Just to get it right, did you apply the paint on the inside of the body ?
Almost always with Lexan paint, yes. Inside of the body. Has to be a clear body, of course!
Red rings for sure
Will a matte clear work just as well as the flat clear
Yes, apologies, Matte/Flat/Matt are all the same. I find Tamiya paints work best.
I'd surely vote for the red rings! Nice job, and a set of very entertaining while honest and informative videos, so - thanks for that! :)
I may have missed that, but - what model/make *ARE* these rims to begin with?
They are Vanquish KMC Bully's. Thanks for the vote!
excellant,needs door lines,red rims
Has both of those things in Pt. 3!
What I do is get the decal cut in reverse and apply it to the inside.
Definitely a great way to do it if you can get the cuts done. I resort to doing it by hand!
What tires are those?
Pro-Line BFG T/A KX 1.9's. Awesome tire. Buy them here and save 10% with code: SBG10 www.prolineracing.com/tires/bfgoodrich-krawler-t-a-kx-1-9-g8-rock-terrain-truck-tires/
Red rings rear black front
That's two votes for that! Thank you!
up until you spilled the beans, i though SBG was getting sponsored by TA Appliances
What a funny sponsorship that would have been! Thanks for watching!
what ever it takes to get the wife some new kitchen appliances eh.....lol
very nice.... wanna paint mine? I like the red rings
Ha! A little practice and you can paint like this!
Red rings , cause balances the red on the body
That's what I went with!
Red rings and lower the suspension a bit 👍🏻
I will take that under consideration! Thanks for watching!
Airplane!....."Have you ever seen a grown man naked?"
HAHAHA! Yes! Do you like movies about Gladiators? ;)
Black rings on front, red rings on back
Interesting idea! I hadn't considered leaving them mismatched, but maybe I will now! Thanks for watching!

Yeah I was told generally but not with rc bodies . Idk maybe it depends it's the guy that does my bodies told me.
Lexan is a bit different. You definitely want to go darkest to lightest to preserve the bold, bright colors.
Red rings
Thank you sir!
Good work, but only black/white would (in my opinion) looks way better.
But overall it´s realy good :-)
Cheers! I hope to see more white ones as the clear bodies get into more people's hands.
Red Rings
Thanks for the comment!
RED rings
Thank you Eric!
red rings pull your eyes down and force you to look at the entire truck as a whole
Good reasoning behind that, thanks for the feedback!
I was told lightest to darkest to lightest correct
Not correct! Painting darker colors on top of lighter will darken them dramatically. I always go darkest to lightest and back with silver at the end.
Does TA stand for 'Team America - World Police'? :)
On account of im not exactly ...filthy rich so I got crafty with a cardboard box and a piece of glass from a picture frame along with some lights running on a couple 9 volts. works just fine and costed me nothing haha.
That's an upgrade of sorts! Ha! Thanks for watching.
Red
Thanks Rod!
Trains planes and Automobiles
Close, but not cigar! Looks like you picked the wrong day to quit smoking! (Airplane)
Shirley you can't be serious
I am, and don't call my Shirley. ;)
Red rings look better
Thanks for the feedback!
Next time you can afford it, upgrade the mic because you are very low.. But i see RC comes first..
Ha, yes. It's actually a decent mic, but it's got two settings that are very close to each other and I (obviously) chose the wrong one for the majority of this video! Thanks for watching!
Lol airPlane
You should have shown more of the taping process and the painting process you cut out too much and made the video useless
I'm not a paint demo guy. If you want to watch some amazing painting how-to videos, go check out my friend Hemistorm.
