1980 was the first year for that body design.

Great looking truck, 1980 was the only year that did not have the blue oval emblem in the grille

1981 also didn't have the blue oval in the middle of the grille. 1982 was the first year for the blue oval in the grille which replaced the Ford capital letter emblems that were on the hood.
