Funnily, this was basically the first end to S&V I ever had in my group - snake charmer charmed the demon, pit-hag turned former snake charmer into klutz, good wins because there's no demon. The very next game the snake charmer charmed the no dashii on night 1, before I had actually given the demon their night 1 info. That conversation was fun. "So first I have to tell you your minion is Jim, your bluffs are savant juggler and klutz... now I have to tell you you are the snake charmer, you are good."

I love the idea of counting down from 10 on your hands in person. I'm definitely doing that next time I run it. It's nice to have a visual cue as well as a concrete way to say when day is ending. This group is so great. What an insane game. I love it. Like you said, it was just peak S&V.

Having given it some thought, I think the answer must be yes. The Snakecharm poison depends on the ability of the Snakecharmer, or in this case the ability of the Philosopher. If the Pit Hag removes the swapped Snakecharmer or Philosopher token from play, the associated Snakecharm poison should also be cleared.
If I had a nickel for every time I watched a pit hag turn their own snake charmed demon into a barber i'd have,, 2 nickels. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice right?
I disagree with Buddy here. I honestly think the story teller made a mistake. I think the other snake charmer should have been drunk for the rest of the game. I think duplicate is an “as it happens” intent, not to be considered as players potentially change. I think the story teller didn’t place a drunk token because there was already a poison token at the time and then when he cleared all of the No Dashi tokens that Patryk made it was already not on his radar. Either way, I’m interested in some clarification and this was certainly entertaining.
@@michaelloyd03 The explanation for why drunk/poison is removed is that when a character swap occurs, all effects from the old character's abilities are removed. It is like both characters died and then were instantly reborn as the other character. And unless explicitly specified, all character effects/abilities go away at death (or swap).
Right. The OG Snakecharmer was drunk from the time the Philo gained the SC ability until the time the Philo-SC became the No Dashii, just moments apart. (And though it happened out of sequence, the OG Snakecharmer’s use of their ability was treated as happening during those moments.)
For any strange or wacky strategy you can think of, there's sometimes a reason to do it. I was in a game a month ago where one of the Fabled Storytellers (Lachlan) did this exact thing - he was good and tried to be a fake twin with another good player. His rationale was that if the other player you pick to twin with goes along with it, it saves you both from getting executed for a little while. Useful for a player who wants to avoid execution for the first few days of a game. - Evin

I would guess no because the No Dashi's ability is active/constant. It is only removed when the No dashi dies (or gets swapped).
