❤ing yalls song choices!!!
Video sucks...it a distraction from a great song...do it over with the lyric video..it's deserves it
I wish y'all would listen to all this stuff with headphones. You're missing so much through computer speakers. Great videos though!
Also, if you want to hear about the government, and rights, give George Carlin "Right and Privileges" a react. Now, George was a comedian, so different for your channel, but he was MUCH more then that. He was a philosopher who was NOT afraid to call society out. I promise you'll love it. ua-cam.com/video/gaa9iw85tW8/v-deo.html
More than fifty years later this song still has meaning. The video came much after the song. The Vietnam War was being fought when this song was first performed. The War Machine is still turning. Here's to hoping you kids and your generation will stop it. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." - Jimi Hendrix. God bless you both.
Can you believe President Dwight D. Eisenhower coined the term 'Military Industrial Complex.?
@@timl8302would you believe a world war was happening? a war to stop atrocities in China and across the south Pacific by the Japanese , and to stop a little guy with a strange mustache in Germany....? Without the U.S. Military Industrial Complex during WW2 all of Europe would be speaking German, there would be NO Jews, fascists would rule half of the planet.
And the war machine still rages on to this day old man getting rich while young men are being sent to die
Did you know that this song is almost 56 years old !!! BUT OH SO HOW REVELANT TODAY !!!!
ITS NOT US BROTHER ,IT IS THE ONE WHO WANTS YOU AND I TO BE AT ODDS !!!! DONT my man , I wish you and yours NO ill will
They can't win. We have to many likes together ❤️ 😅
@RebeccahayesThis is now and the war pigs are still active . Poisoning their brainwashed minds. And voting for idiots like Trump ,Wilders and Nigel F. in the UK. We're close again .
He says, "Generals gathered in their masses" just like "Witches in black masses". This sets the stage of the entire song.
This was painful to watch. Each clue was skipped or talked over. LOL
Wars and rumors of war!!!! Now where have we heard this B4!!!!
"Generals gathered in their masses, just like witches at black masses".
I always thought it was funny that trying to understand Ozzy Osborne when he talked was almost impossible but he is clear as day when he sings.
I always joked and said he should just sing everything he wants to say, lol.
"Politicians hide themselves away, they only started the war. Why should they go out to fight? They leave that all to the poor."
HEAVY.
Just as important of a message today as it was back then...
Truth!
I was about to say the same thing almost word for word. I love anti-war songs of all genres, but if I had to pick just one to endorse as definitive, this may be the one. It's In the discussion, for sure.
This is what is going on right now in our government.
@@robertpotrykus8739 ... that's a sad truth. Here's hoping there are better days ahead.

Let me just say, I'm so glad to be a Canadian these days.
I can watch the craziness of it all from the comfort of my couch, during this c-19 lockdown, as I blaze the legal marijuana cigarette I bought at the dispensary, the next town over from me.
Apparently, in the next couple of weeks, my little town will be getting its own dispensary. That's pretty exciting as its kitty-corner from the drug store where I get my prescriptions. (I pay $2 a month thanks to our health care system!)
My daughter, who is very sick with cancer, doesn't have to pay very much for her meds at all, and is getting very excellent care from the palliative care team working with her.
Incidentally, if she so chose to use marijuana to ease her pain or symptoms, it would be covered.
I couldn't imagine living in the U.S. under these circumstances.
I couldn't imagine having to live under a government that, at every turn, refuses to embrace something as beneficial as social medicine.
Ok, so they don't want to pay a living wage... they could at least try to keep the underpaid workers relatively healthy enough to make the bosses more money.
Healthy workers = PROFITS, after all.
...
Maybe that's one thing this new administration might be able to do for the good of the U.S. people, with at least some compassionate support from the other side.
...
That's about all I have to say about that.
...
😁
Cheers!
Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
This is one of the ultimate anti-war songs ever. War for war’s sake is evil
Yet trump wanted us to go to war with Iran, fuck that, why doesnt everyone protest that wars dont solve nothing
Acting like fortunate son doesn’t exist
I heard a priest give an entire sermon on this song. He said it was like the message of the Old Testament prophets: There is a God, there WILL be a judgement, and when it comes those who have made war for their own selfish ends will get what is coming to them.
@@Moistynuget creedence be the weirdest shit tho...there songs sound happy and joyful but the messages are the EXACT opposite it’s crazy

Well War Pigs is Sabbath
@@kspeed419 well, they were referring to the singer and the name of the singer is John "Ozzy" Osbourne. His name isn't Black Sabbath. Nice try at being a smartass

yet his songs were all about God and redemption and staying away from evil

I love it when people REALLY LISTEN and think about lyrics and symbolism. Fantastic video, guys!!
One of the greatest and most important songs of all time. I wish more young people heard and understood this, before allowing themselves to be used as expendable cannon fodder for the elite.
The singer is Ozzy Osbourne, and they started performing this song in 1968 btw, 52 years ago
Don't mean to be a dick, but they first performed this song in 1970. Way better version is that original song. It's on UA-cam.
@@Thunderball.Mcgillicutty yeah they wrote the Paranoid album in 1969

@@Thunderball.Mcgillicutty my brother had the original and I get so mad every time I dont hear "witches eating dead rat tenders" lol There's a couple of other lyrical changes, but that one is like engrained in my mind.
It's a protest song guys, along the lines of Eisenhower's warning about the military industrial complex.
Prepare for more, after the brief respite.
No its not, it was derived from Walpurgisnacht shortened to Walpurgis. Which refers to An abbess born in the dark ages. But because of its satanic stuff going on in the 60s and 70s Geezer had to change the lyrics to suit record label.
Nice reference
Went right over their heads cause they watched the video and didn't listen lol
@@artofmanneherrin5273 The song *as* *finished* and as presented here, *is* a protest against war. Its origin does not change that.

Black Sabbath are widely considered the godfathers of heavy metal, and the front man for this band, Ozzy Osbourne, was responsible for the music festival Ozzfest, which featured many of the rap metal/nu metal artists that you two have enjoyed on this channel, during the late 90s and early 2000s. It's awesome to see younger people discovering and enjoying the classics. Bless you both 🙏🏼
Pisses me off, so many people think of Ozzy as that dopey guy shuffling around back on that tv show. Ozzy was great in the true meaning of the word.
As far as I am concerned, he sold that image to make a couple bucks
@@bageer3812 No he had a medical condition that no doctor could figure out so they wrote it off as years of drug and alcohol abuse. Fortunately, a doctor was watching a show Ozzy was on and suspected what his problem was. He reached out to Ozzy's people. After running the proper test, the doctor was right. With finally a proper diagnosis and treatment, Ozzy don't bumble and shuffle anymore.
too bad the bass player wrote most of the lyrics
Calm down. Geezer Butler wrote most of Black Sabbath’s songs.
He's the most underrated vocalist on the planet.
Your reactions are great, keep up the good work!
Good insight about the deepness of the name "Black Sabbath" - these guys are often considered the originators of heavy metal.
This is also a song about how the majority of people who die in war are the disadvantaged. Listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son” for how the rich put the poor out to die for their money.

Tony Iommi = Guitar
Bill Ward = Drums
Geezer Butler = Bass

Nailed it! Government do ALL OF THAT!!!
My parents had the record of Black Sabbath, Ozzy is a legend. Grew up with Sabbath playing on the record player.
My mother tried to tell me Black Sabbath was preaching evil. She had never listened to Black Sabbath but had decided this based on hearsay and hype. I listened anyway. One day she came in my room to comment on how good the music was and I had to break it to her that she was currently enjoying the pitch perfect Prince of Darkness himself spouting these anti-war lyrics. She didn’t try to influence my music taste after that.
Same. Listened to all my dad's records, black sabbath, iron butterfly, led zepplin and others when I was a child.
And fairies do wear boots
This song was inspired by the atrocities of Vietnam war. But not about concentration camps. But it’s about the atrocities of war in general. I think this was a video by a fan. It does a good job imo, but the song stands alone.
It is a fan video compiled using scenes from a student film called "Motherland." It definitely suits the mood of the song.
It was written because of them still crossing over rubble to go to school 10 years after WW2.
The video does a disservice to the song. There’s conflicting metaphors. The video doesn’t need a separate narrative. It would have been best if it just followed the lyrics.
@@qtheband751 I mean it's a fanmade video for a song that's almost as old as I am. Cut them some slack.
@@ParchmentScroll and I’m just some dude in Canada. Just my opinion. It’s aesthetically attractive. But thematically off the mark.
I'm a 34 year old mixed guy who listens to predominantly funk, 90's and early 2000's rap music. I remember the first time I heard this song. It instantly became not just my favorite rock song, but one of my top songs of all time. The song stills give me goose bumps, and gets me amped everytime I hear it!!!!
Been watching your vids...love it!!!
Please, just listen to the music and the lyrics. There weren’t videos to go with the songs in those days. This video has nothing to do with the song.
Well. It is about a form of warpigs. But yes. The movie is unrelated to the song.
Yeah, the video is just some unknown youtube addict's random concoction.
Yep. The video is great but it's fan made. It shouldn't be the focus

Ozzie Osborne believed in a Higher Power * this song is a testament to it. I’ve been very I’ll recently & stumbled upon your channel. I spent 27 Years Active Duty Military. I’m white on the outside but grew up in South Chicago in the 60s & 70s.The Black Panthers lived on my street. I also recently retired from Cal Fire. When I was in combat or tasked to save someone; I didn’t check skin colors. WE are much closer than you think. I held dying Soldier’s hands, I didn’t check His skin color, I prayed with Him as He took his last breath. Now I don’t sleep, I had to get help because of all the evil and death. I’m still a viewer but but I gotta say, this video is about physical government involvement. *cattling people, barbed wire fences, unneeded policing force* but yeah keep reacting. Just keep learning.
@Robert McPherson I was a Registered Nurse for 25 years. Masks are not a cure-all, but the do help protect. I do not use them all the time. but I will use them around others whom are at risk of death from ALL respiratory illness. COVId is just another flu. Masks, hand washing - all that have been precautions taught for decades. Only now is anyone listening. And of course they are going to extremes. People need to just not be stupid about it.
@Robert McPherson Definitely agree on the mandates. There ate no logical, scientific reasons for them.
Man is enlightened. I grew up being told it’s mental horsepower. You have a great brain on you brother. Both of you do. Much love
I love you guys so much!
I really wish people's' first reaction to this song was just the lyric video - the images are from a German short film called 'Motherland', done about 40 years after this song. I understand the correlation that the video's author intended between war abroad vs dystopian war at home, but it does a disservice, I think, for people who are new to either the song or the short film.
(That said, yes - if you understand the intent, they do go well together)

This song was written in the Vietnam War era. The lyrics are just as relevant today as they were then. I’m pretty sure this wasn’t an official video from the band, but it’s brilliant! This is a recent fan made video that reflects this person's interpretation of the lyrics. This song came out in the early 70s. One of the amazing things about music lyrics, is that everyone can interpret them how they want to.
I hate this video for reactions. Its a fan made video that has nothing to do with the song and it just confuses people. just listen to the lyrics
True
@xPositivityx bless Maybe consider this alternative interpretation: The 2nd amendement is one of the best tools to keep the US population suppressed. It gives an illusion of freedom and self-determination while for the longest time being an integral part of how society destroys itself.
The 2nd amendement is great in theory. But reality shows that it doesn't work at all. The USA is the richest country on earth yet it's population struggles to compete with third world countries in pretty much any key metric: Education, equality of opportunity, mental health, physical health, child mortality, police brutality, corruption, violent crime and murder rates, drug addiction, incarceration rate, and so on and so forth.
Yet pretty much the only opportunities when someone makes use of their 2nd amendement rights it's only to defend the most ignorant stance with violence. And in the few cases where arming yourself against the state actually could be considered a reasonable path, it gets subverted in no time - and the majority of people is not just content but actually happy about it.
If you believe the 2nd amendement does or ever will do anything good for the american people you need to wake up and check what reality has to say about that.
@xPositivityx bless Sure, there probably isn't anything I could say to change your mind anyway then. But consider that an opinion is only valid if it can stand in the face of facts, otherwise it's just dogma.
You don't have to answer but I'd be thrilled if you allowed yourself to question your beliefs and see how they stack up to reality even, and particularly, when the thoughts become uncomfortable.
@Sean Davis Hm, sounds remarkably as if you were inciting violence - and you want to sell that as a positive to me?
@Sean Davis Imagine you'd put your anger towards something constructive, not only might something good come from it but you wouldn't make yourself look impotent.
Its an anti war song, hes talking about the people that send us out to die, and the destruction war causes
