The camera work on the part where he drifts the car around and shoots him will forever be iconic...kudos to the director for that 💎
The camera work in this scene as a whole is pretty terrible. If you go back to 1:22, count how many times he passes the red SUV, then how many times he approaches the grey Prius before crashing into it. The angles and idea are great. Continuity is terrible lol.

actually this scene is full of mistakes, I have not seen on the first watch, as I think the movie was okay, but rewatching this, there is so much wrong with this scene alone, not only continuity but it all is very convenient
I love how throughout this fight he's constantly aware of the attacker's body position and where his weapons are, and uses the forces of inertia to manipulate the attacker's movements. He's literally using his driving skills as a defensive weapon, and the choreography seems to actually hold up, its not just some stitched together bullshido, there's a logic to how the car moves and how that movement dictates the fight. Its awesome.
The equalizer moves are amazing
Heck yeah . As an Uber driver that’s a big fear of a knife attack from a back seat passenger.. however possible this scenario is , I don’t know how probable the outcome would be.. of course being a trained black ops type doesn’t hurt either.
In real life the guy in the backseat with a knife and a gun beats the driver with nothing but his hands.

Everything in this scene is just amazing. When Robert asks the age of his daughter and he just answer "5", he realized that he's not a father. And the rest is pure history. The director's just a king.
He said "she's 5" with a smile on his face.

I think that the knife would be more discreet. If he shoots him, a lot of people would notice and he probably would get caught. And probably McCall with his godlike abilities would notice his movements and would kill him even faster.

He also sat right in the middle of the back seat. A better position would be directly behind Robert, where it's harder to see. Then he could've stabbed him through the back of the seat.
When I saw this for the first time, that's what I thought he was going to use. I was waiting for almost the whole drive to hear the dude in the backseat try to chamber a round (that foolishly hadn't been chambered yet, because this is a movie, lol) or something.

Great scene- very creative. However, you just cannot shoot a handgun off in a closed car without completely blowing your ear drums out. Plus that headshot, at that range and with that caliber, is going to make an awful mess in reality. Movie magic!
Assassins in the real world use .22 handguns with sub-sonic rounds. The report is quieter than the action on the gun, and they're just as deadly with a head shot at point blank range.

I love how the movie direction focus on his eyes all the time. I even noticed that his enemies mistakes is lack of attention to details and lack of focus, which is exactly what Equalizer got. If this was a DC hero he would be a meta human.
