The guy with the long beard (Tait Fletcher) has been killed by The Equalizer, John Wick, The Accountant and a raptor in Jurassic World. He may not be good at being a bad guy, but his work ethic is outstanding.
Having worked in a big box home improvement store and being familiar with the layout, I can say that the bad guys never stood a chance, because Denzel flat out teleported around that store.
Yes, I love how the highly trained bad guys in these movies always split off by themselves so the good guy can quietly pick them off one by one. So stupid.
@@leestringer Splitting up means covering more ground. Staying huddled together at all times can be a great defense, but also a great weakness. In this case they are on the opponents playground. He knows the field better than all of them and so has the advantage. They are dealing with a foe who has the many places to hide under the cover of darkness. Staying together just makes them slower, and the objective is to kill the hero before the hero can kill them. McCall is extremely good, but Ralphie has the biggest set of balls on him. He went back into a store full of trained killers, only one of which was on his side, despite having no real combat skills of his own. My man has the loyalty of Samwise Gamgee in him.
I feel bad for the guy with the epic beard, he's fought Keanu Reeves, Ben Affleck, and now Denzel Washington. Does the actor like getting killed in these movies? 😂
Tait Fletcher - stunt actor and ex MMA Contender - shares those skills with Jay Hieron, who was up against Washington in EQ2, however Fletcher resembles Garrett Golden (Kovac in EQ2 - also an ex Navy SEAL), of course there's no physical activity contact with Kovac and McCall in the movie : definitely looking forward to seeing the next installment in September.

i loved the fact that denzel could've EASILY bit the guys nose pinning him down to fres himself, yet he just went for a simple glass stab, really shows how cool he is
That hand to hand fight took over a minute. You could probably run through a Home Depot end to end in less time. A lot of absurd scenes in this movie but Rule of Cool prevails and those scenes actually elevate the movie even more.
yeah you could run from end to end down one of the aisles that go lengthwise through the store in idea conditions, but when you're playing a game of cat and mouse where the loser dies in the end and with potential booby traps at every turn, that probably wouldn't be the smartest idea.
This fight sequence was brutal and intense as both characters are equally strong professionals. Any slight mistake by either one of them would get the other killed. Robert Mc Call overcomes using his wit and by luck.
When the bald guy with the beard was wrestling Denzel, why didn’t he just call out for his teammates or something? Like, he could have gotten help from his boss.
I think he was too in the moment the fight happened very fast and both have very quick reaction times (McCall and bald guy). The bald guy was in fight or flight mode and quickly chose to fight. So calling for help was probably the last thing on his mind. He was angry about that first stab from behind with adrenaline pumping. Had he let his guard down even for a second to call for help Mcall couldve easily gotten the upper hand faster. Probably thought he could take McCall out by overpowering him, but McCall is too quick and cunning. He's the brains against braun and that dude found out the hard way 🤷🏽♂️

6:33 They could've heard McCall screaming in pain and could've arrived sooner while that bald henchman has him pinned down. And once they do, they could've stripped McCall and tortured him using the tools he used to kill their team mates. Like blowtorching McCall's groin or something and make him scream and beg for his life for trying to be a bad ass.
6:54 McCall's ground game is very poor. He relies too much on his hands. He could've pulled guard on this position or went for the triangle choke or even attempt an armbar.
Staring into a face that calmly and dispassionately stares back at you while you are hanging by the neck on barbed wire and dying is probably disconcerting.
I love me some Denzel Washington, but for goodness sake when Robert McCall ask just give, when he stand u sit, if he walks then u run . When he speaks just listen . Don't let him have to repeat hisself because the situation will get ugly. 😂😂😂
He should've put on a mask, tights, trunks and a cape. He also should have letter E on his chest. His utility belt should comprise of tools he used to kill goons.
7:03 He should've remained in that position instead of going for the knife. McCall would've eventually lose his grip and gets stabbed or wait until Teddy and the rest of his posse arrive and torture McCall and make him beg for his life and feel sorry for trying to be a bad ass.
Robert's ground game is shit. Relies too much on his hands only. No kicks, knees, or even a headbutt. All his fancy hand to hand techniques were out the window the moment he's grounded.
Look, I like the Sam Fisher Style coolness. But our protagonist is in a survival situation against highly trained and armored soldiers. And he had at least 3 opportunities to take a fully automated and even silenced firearm. Instead he's getting shot and has to navigate a mine-fiield of superior firepower, making kills with tools. Looks cool Denzel is definitely the right guy to pull this off. But still: In my mind: I am constantly just screaming "TAKE THE Freakin GUN!"
It all begins in the first film, before that he was just a CIA or DIA (whatever they called it in the films) operative. It would be cool, but not an 'equalizer' film as he wouldn't have been equalising anything. Just Denzel playing a CIA operative
