Here's some pointless trivia for you: During the Series 2 reference photos, a Ever Ready battery was used to hold up the ruler. It's connection to Thomas? In 1982 Clearwater Features made a commercial for them, directed by David Mitton!
Oh God WOW! I remember seeing this great advert for Ever Ready batteries as a kid back in the days... l loved the brilliant song in this ad, and just seeing it now, here on UA-cam, all the memories came flooding back. Those good old days when TV ads were so much better, unlike nowadays...
This advert was relased in 1982 and was directed by david mitton way back before thomas the tank engine and friends got released 2 years later when britt allcroft saw his work in the ad

When I started working in advertising in 1967 I was told off by my boss for saying Advert, I was always told to say commercial!
