Last few days I've been on a cracking run of Paul's videos, considering how miserable it may otherwise seem I couldn't be happier that it's led me back to rewatching this alone on Christmas morning. Top geezers both 😎. 🏴❤ (camaraderie, not whingeing)
BBC Staffer: I really think we should commission a series with this guy, Paul Chowdhry. He's very funny, hard-hitting and represents the frustrations of the young British Asian populus really well. BBC Head of Comedy: Oh no, we've got Citizen Khan for that....and if we really get stuck we can do something with Meera Syal and Sanjeev Bhaskar. BBC Staffer: Yeah....
It's really interesting how many times Richard says things are really interesting during an interview. It would be really interesting to find out how many times he said it in this one
I loved this! First saw Chowdhry on the epic Taskmaster and absolutely loved him in it. I watched some of his stand up which was obviously very well written but I wasn't too into it. However, I think he's brill and would love to see more of his stuff. Anyway, great interview, Rich - liked the Axbridge mushroom farm reference, that place smelled awful back in the 90's as I am sure it still does.
It's always Lowestoft, isn't it?! Any chance of getting James Bachman on? He's always reminded me of you. It'd be interesting to see if you're anything alike when you're actually together....
It’s shameful that paul doesn’t have more mainstream recognition. He’s been doing it for over 20 years . It seems today you have to be a progressive liberal to be accepted and given a stage
Will Jim Jefferies ever be a guest? It's an interesting journey he has had from very un-PC drunken live stuff and being both robbed at knife point and punched in the face on stage in Manchester, to now doing some American chat show. I guess now he is 'big' in the US, this wouldn't appeal.
Crazy idea but could it be that Tommy Robinson isnt quite what the media portrays him as and he likes your stuff because youre funny? Go watch his talk at Oxford.
Paul is sikh and Tommy likes to make friends with them and use them in his islamophobia > it's enough for some to believe he's not racist. Whereas Paul being a bit clever knows that islamophobia is just plain racism
Loved this program. I would enjoy holidaying with these lovely people x

@@kingofgoogle7715 nah...too busy taking this place over mate!! 😂😂😂
@@kingofgoogle7715 You specifically mean England, rather than referring to the UK in general?
The book Richard mentioned is called Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.
I like the guy(s) in the audience joining in. It was just right, not awkward, just funny. The same can be said for the whole podcast.
Great line up! I hope nothing fatal happens to me before the Brian Blessed one. Well fucking done for finally getting him!
I only knew Paul from Taskmaster where i really liked him and i continue to like him here.
You've got to watch some of his stand up, its hysterical!
He's one of my favourites, also since taskmaster ✊
she's 28 years old... CLASSIC!

I keep noticing that too. He could compete with Paul saying 'innit'.
That is a really interesting observation Lionel.
Well I for one am genuinely interested.
I do not find this interesting
It's interesting that your team died in 2012
Not heard of this guy - really great interview I'll have to check him out!
I love that they mention Lowestoft. That's where I saw him.
Met him, why do I forget that?
"Someone's doing well." A great line, missed by the audience, in this.

Loved this interview... Now hooked on Paul chowdhry... Not keen on the other bloke with sexy hands....
lol "sexy hands"
Gal how has your year been so far?
Looking forward to Trev & Simon. Used to love watching them growing up.
All I have to do is look at Paul's face and I just automatically start laughing can't help it
This was a really enjoyable episode.
That was a good one
Assumed he was like 25ish from taskmaster, lucky bastard.
That Landis stuff ... and now with the news about Max, oh dear oh dear.
Looking great for his age, as is Richard
such a cool guy
Please let Supreme Eggsecutive Producer Pliny be code for Stewart Lee.
02:12 - I sometimes tell my girlfriend when I'm coming quick imminently, it's very polite of you Richard.
So Brian Blessed is a 3 hour special, right?

He was a guest on RHEFP (the Edinburgh version of this show) once so it's not out of the question
Handsome fella
I wonder if Paul is on email?
Slice Radio I'd hope so, you simply have to be these days
Linkedin is a really great to tell everyone how you are doing in both a moan-y and brag-y way.
i suppose he is ha ha ha ha
brian blessssssssssed
Tommy Robinson dislikes this
Is it though?
I have never found Paul Chowdhry funny and was annoyed by him on Taskmaster but after seeing him chat for an hour I feel like giving him another go.
Watch his own stand up shows, they're hilarious. He's not himself on tv.
Blessed will wear thin.
come to Liverpool
in fairness to your child, you draw all over t-shirts and shit like that.
Comedy should be a scalpel and a dagger.
The emergency questions are very white. I’d like to see Paul interviewed by a brown person like this!
Crazy idea but could it be that Tommy Robinson isnt quite what the media portrays him as and he likes your stuff because youre funny? Go watch his talk at Oxford.
What if we've watched it and he still comes across as a reductive imbecile?
turning him a racist caricature and then virtue signalling against that isnt reductive and imbecilic?
Metanina . do you know what your saying
