Well...interior defensive lineman have a different role than the edge guys. They're not flashy. They collapse the pocket, they maintain their leverage so they are in position to tackle runners, that sort of thing. They never look as good on film, but the statistics point out that he had a stellar pass rush win rate in comparison to other DLs.

It was weird that Atlanta picked him after committing 100 million to Kirk Cousins. Nonsensical move. If Penix takes over for Cousins at some point, suddenly Atlanta has a guy on the roster they have to pay huge money to who is not starting.
