The difference between Asus OC (Overclocked) and OC OG (Overclocked Original) GPU cards typically lies in their cooling solutions, factory overclock settings, and overall build quality. Here's a breakdown of the key differences: 1. **Cooling Solutions**: - **Asus OC** models often come with enhanced cooling features like larger heatsinks, additional fans, or advanced cooling technologies to ensure better thermal performance. - **OC OG** models may use more standard cooling solutions, which might be adequate but not as optimized as the OC variants. 2. **Factory Overclocking**: - **Asus OC** cards are usually factory overclocked to higher clock speeds compared to the standard models, providing better performance out of the box. - **OC OG** models may have lower default clock speeds, focusing on stability rather than aggressive overclocking. 3. **Build Quality and Components**: - **Asus OC** cards may utilize higher-quality components such as capacitors and chokes, leading to improved durability and performance. - **OC OG** cards might use more standard components, which can affect their longevity and performance under heavy loads. 4. **Price Point**: - Generally, the Asus OC cards tend to be priced higher than the OC OG models due to the improved features and performance enhancements. 5. **Target Audience**: - **Asus OC** is aimed at gamers and enthusiasts looking for the best performance and cooling. - **OC OG** might be more suitable for casual users or those who do not require extreme performance. In summary, if you're looking for better cooling, higher performance, and potentially more longevity, the Asus OC models would be the better choice. If you prefer a more budget-friendly option and are satisfied with standard performance, the OC OG models could suffice.
Take a coke and a Pepsi pour them in solo cups, have someone shuffle them for you and it's almost impossible to tell them apart. It's high fructose corn syrup and water.
all 4080 tuf users will need to change the thermal past in few month.. i checked that too ( get a 4080 s tuf oc) and it was so crazy what i was seeing there. first two month 76° after some weeks about 80° and few weeks above 100 . The thermal paste was still printed incorrectly. And the thermal paste itself is pure dirt. The 4090 chip is vertical and the 4080 is horizontally and they slapped the same cover from the 4090 version onto the 4080 and so the chip on the 4080 is not completely covered with thermal paste, which dissolves into its components sooner or later anyway.. still 74 after the change
Been looking at a white tuf gpu and i've been interested in getting the 4070 ti super, however... The 4080 price is very close and to the white 4070 ti super oc edition. But the 4080 is just black. So im now going back and forward with myself on which card to choose lol
@@peterpain6625 Check your powersupply. That can heavely influence coilwhine on your gpu. Try 1 or 2 other PSU's strong enough like 1000 watt or more. My card has minimal coilwhine. It is a 4080 super.
@@karlos1060 True. It's in my lan-party small-form-factor build now. Don't really care if it whines with 20 people around screaming and shouting blood murder ;)
Thankfully my tuf gaming 4090 oc doesn’t have any coil whine and it runs around 50-55c while maxed out 4k gaming w/ ray tracing etc. but I’m also using a 7000D airflow case w/ 15 fans. (Including the 3 extra for push/pull on the h170i aio).
Mine had it at first, but going with a custom cable that plugged directly into the GPU, and stress testing it (breaking it in) for many hours solved the whine. Now its as quiet as a sleeping baby.
Never ever buy the OC model if you dont have to. Thats horrible advice. I also dont sugest people buy none OC and then theow the OC bios on. Just use nvidia auto OC it gives you even more boost because it doesn memory and watts. Guys the OC tuf and strix this year are pure clocks 70 to 80 thats it. No wattage difference and no memory difference. Just ignnore OC and ignore the OC bios. Both of my none OC 4080 supers hit 3000mhz and whats funny is most of the OC models are having a hard time doing that. My strix hit 2680 out of the box so I already got the gauruntee of an OC. But whata funny is its a 1fps difference between 2680 and 2770 on average. So please its rare to find but get the none OC if you can. It seems like the none OC are getting insane silicon lottery also. Like legit ive yet to see a bad one but there are so many OC models i guess chances are you may get a bad one? Idk even the one fuy on youtueb who overclocked his tuf none oc got 2680 out of rhe box and was able to his 3000mhz which is way higher then even the OC is out of the box of couese. Everyone understood this with the 3000 series gpus. You should with the 4000 series also. Enjoy! Again use the nvidia beta app do auto OC if yoy dont want ro chance anyrhing. Raise the power limit and everything all the way then click auto. Boom much better OC results then any OC out of the box. Because of the memory and wattas boost.
I'm currently planning my next build and my one thing that I'm still up in the air with is the GPU. I will be going with Nvidia but just don't know what to get
While i do like the TUF series, im fed up with Asus products being so much more expensive than its market rivals. My previous 3 builds were all Asus Strix components, but my current build is now all MSI. I got all the features i wanted for less money than the Asus equivalent tier. Im done with Asus.
i mean its alright but MSI have been fucking up real bad this generation with the B650 motherboards (except the Pro B650M-A) & the 40-series cards as well. The Ventus models are inefficient asf and the higher tier models are pretty much similarly priced to Asus ones.
Not much larger than the competition tbh, the one benefit is that they are metal rather than the plastic you find on most others. Styling is a hit or a miss though, they tend to look much better vertically mounted than they do horizontally mounted.
I have Tuf gaming x570 pro, Tuf gaming RX 6700 xt.. My last few PC upgrades have been Tuf Gaming mobo's and they are rock solid.. Why have you only got Nvidia junk?
@@silfrido1768 People suckered into you don't need a lot of vram for months then ohh, you do...... just to help the industry sell. Fact is, you want the best = Stops the games of getting sucker punched. As these games come out the sys req is going up very fast and all those chasing after bottom tech will get cornered and re-buy will have to occur to keep pace with the industry. Unless, you didn't get suckered into and bought the best and future proofed for what is coming.
A lot of the TUF styling is a missed opportunity for them. Take the Mobos for example, they are not much better than the Prime series, with minimal plating covering the IO. Sometimes the branding actually makes it worse. They had the right idea early on with a lot more "metal" bits thrown in to cover the PCB, but now it feels very minimalistic. Their GPUs lack consistent design language with the rest of the brand as well. For example, the triangle bits on the GPU when seen horizontally. The rest of the brand seems focus more on boxy design elements, rather than triangles. Imagine if they had an EVGA like kingpin mesh between the shield and backplate? Or copper tubing? Design wise its just low effort these days.
Normally you would have to have a disclaimer that this is sponsored by Asus. I think he might just be promoting GPUs which have affiliate links, as he can earn more from those sales. He's not wrong about the content though, as this line up of GPUs are usually better specced than their counterparts in the same category.

Besides, I wanna see this new nVidia App and see if it Works better than the GeFarce Experience did...
should test the coil whine. Also amazing....
What is the OG version I see there is a OG OC version and a OC version what is the difference and witch one is better
The difference between Asus OC (Overclocked) and OC OG (Overclocked Original) GPU cards typically lies in their cooling solutions, factory overclock settings, and overall build quality. Here's a breakdown of the key differences:
1. **Cooling Solutions**:
- **Asus OC** models often come with enhanced cooling features like larger heatsinks, additional fans, or advanced cooling technologies to ensure better thermal performance.
- **OC OG** models may use more standard cooling solutions, which might be adequate but not as optimized as the OC variants.
2. **Factory Overclocking**:
- **Asus OC** cards are usually factory overclocked to higher clock speeds compared to the standard models, providing better performance out of the box.
- **OC OG** models may have lower default clock speeds, focusing on stability rather than aggressive overclocking.
3. **Build Quality and Components**:
- **Asus OC** cards may utilize higher-quality components such as capacitors and chokes, leading to improved durability and performance.
- **OC OG** cards might use more standard components, which can affect their longevity and performance under heavy loads.
4. **Price Point**:
- Generally, the Asus OC cards tend to be priced higher than the OC OG models due to the improved features and performance enhancements.
5. **Target Audience**:
- **Asus OC** is aimed at gamers and enthusiasts looking for the best performance and cooling.

If all there is Pepsi.. water it is I guess
all 4080 tuf users will need to change the thermal past in few month.. i checked that too ( get a 4080 s tuf oc) and it was so crazy what i was seeing there. first two month 76° after some weeks about 80° and few weeks above 100 .
You say there’s a black and a white edition of the 4070 ti super oc ? Can’t seem to find it.
Been looking at a white tuf gpu and i've been interested in getting the 4070 ti super, however... The 4080 price is very close and to the white 4070 ti super oc edition. But the 4080 is just black. So im now going back and forward with myself on which card to choose lol
My asus tuf 4090 has a LOT of coil whine
Mine doesn't. Bet next time it's the other way around. My 3090 is basically (still) screaming with coil-whine ;)
I am not biased towards any PC brand. My purchasing decision is purely driven by value for monney.
I have no preference as long as it's not gigabyte
I'm currently planning my next build and my one thing that I'm still up in the air with is the GPU. I will be going with Nvidia but just don't know what to get
Get what you feel comfortable paying for. I went with the 4080OC; couldn't justify $400 more for the 4090.
@alfredthibodeaux2414 I agree man I'm also looking at the 4080 Super as my GPU worth the money and not spending it on a 4090
Thanks 🤙🤙🤙
ASUS tuf/strix brand has water blocks made for them.
Does ASUS 4080 Super TUF Non-OC and OC have Coil whine? (now that few months have passed)
While i do like the TUF series, im fed up with Asus products being so much more expensive than its market rivals. My previous 3 builds were all Asus Strix components, but my current build is now all MSI. I got all the features i wanted for less money than the Asus equivalent tier. Im done with Asus.
idk man the msi ventus cards are pretty doo doo for the 40 series
@Seeeaaan I have the Gaming X Slim RTX4070 Ti Super. It's been solid so far.
i mean its alright but MSI have been fucking up real bad this generation with the B650 motherboards (except the Pro B650M-A) & the 40-series cards as well. The Ventus models are inefficient asf and the higher tier models are pretty much similarly priced to Asus ones.
I personally don't like TUF GPU shrouds. They're entirely too large and so...utilitarian. They really would never fit in my case, an NZXT H1 V2.
Not much larger than the competition tbh, the one benefit is that they are metal rather than the plastic you find on most others. Styling is a hit or a miss though, they tend to look much better vertically mounted than they do horizontally mounted.
unlike the others the Asus TUF 4070 Super only has 1 HDMI port not 2
Actually I used a 4070 Ti Super just last stream that had two.

Yeah NVIDIA is not value for money and overpriced, i love my RX 7800XT.
cool text you read

STRIX only and topmost for it = Now is the 4090 = Nothing less than 4090 unless you are saving up for the 5090.

People suckered into you don't need a lot of vram for months then ohh, you do...... just to help the industry sell.

@@shadowCTP254There's always a Dr. Pepper guy and you know what, you're right.
Don't buy an OC version, it's just a rip off.
Intregrated graphics 😢
Yet another paid advertisement from this guy. That's all he does apparently. Downvoted again.
Normally you would have to have a disclaimer that this is sponsored by Asus. I think he might just be promoting GPUs which have affiliate links, as he can earn more from those sales.
He's not wrong about the content though, as this line up of GPUs are usually better specced than their counterparts in the same category.
This is an AD, I heard about these channels, but I never watched any of them, UA-cam decided this is the time for it so I clicked on it.
I'm surprised how scripted the video is.
