I’ve used that type of bulk bagged lime mortar before Budd, but luckily it was for use in a stonework job so was ideal for that purpose, but no way would I have fancied trying to lay brick with it 😳. I tip my hat to you for your skill and patience 👍

I’ve not used it before, the customer has provided it , it’s in bulk bags comes dry mixed then you Chuck it in the mixer and add water, it would be ideal for flint work, but it’s really poor to lay bricks with, cheers For watching 👍
@BuildingwithBudd that's the kind of mortar we almost always use in the US usually spec mix or ameramix it's pre mixed lime cement and sand in a bag we just add water
@BuildingwithBudd it doesn't usually have a lot of stones in it, but sometimes it does I can tell it looks more like the mortar we use the stuff you guys use with the plasticizer looks nice and creamy our mortar doesn't look like that

Is it hydraulic lime with sharp sand in the mix ,couldn't fancy that with bricks 🤔

your mortar sure sounds awful gritty!!! like coarse sand.
