The sort of detailing that takes a little longer than cutting flush but which over the life of the building gives so much pleasure to anyone looking up.
Many thanks for watching 👏👍
It is always great watching a craftsman at work, no matter what it is that they are actually doing.
👏👏
Good old fashioned brickie masterful at his work, the sound of steel against brick and the mortar kept even and clean ,could watch it all day Thank you
Thank you kindly👍
Love how Clean he works...loves his job!!Well done!
Cheers Kirk 👏👍
Very nice brickwork, well done Budd
Many thanks for watching 👍
Welshman living in OZ. Wish we had proper trades who show this much respect for their profession over here. So miss this level of professionalism. Bloody brilliant 👍
That is an absolutely brilliant finish, the cuts the neatness and finish are a credit to you 👏 a true craftsman
Many thanks for watching, much appreciated 👏👏👍
Lovely work 😊
Cheers Jim
Much appreciated 👏👍🧱
Yes headers are bridging the cavity damp area right away
Must be on day work dragging the arse out of it
I’m a roofer and roughcaster but I love watching a good brickie at work lovely detail mate 👍
Relaxing and inspiring to watch, thank you for sharing this. Can’t imagine the big greedy housing giants using these skilled and lasting techniques. Too busy squeezing 10 teeny rush builds into a plot suitable for 3 for their maximum profit then onto the next. Alas.
Many thanks for watching 👏👍
Brilliant job , I hope your able to teach apprentices your amazing skills .
We do try and pass things on but not many want to give it a go 👍
All the bricks with precise diagonal cuts is the most impressive part for me.
Very good work,I am a Brickie since 1971 and still going Doug👍👍🍺🍺
Cheers Doug, what a different game it is today 🤦♂️, many thanks for watching 👏🧱
👏👍
Well done young man, quality work and the finish is the key..X Scottish Brickie...
Happy Laying Pal 😊..
Many thanks for watching and I haven’t been called a young man for many a year, once again thanks for watching 👍👍🧱👏
@@BuildingwithBudd am 56 years young pal...I try n take pride in myself in wotever I do....perfection takes time..All the Best Pal..ps.I was a Deepsea Trawlerman wae ma auld Dad before that...we sailed fae Aberdeen..before that Granton Harbour in Edinburgh...Now in
LIVINGSTON, Scotland ....
You wouldn’t get me on one those, I would rather be ten lifts up than do that, how did you end up on land and in the trade, ?😀
@@BuildingwithBudd 3 lifts up was enough for me Pal... dodgy scaffolding along the way also caused me to say...Fk that...
Ma auld Dad tried to make a man of me after ma mother passed away when I was 18... come n be a trawlerman...it ain't for everyone Pal but I reckon you'd av been better than me
Keep well , and many thanks for watching 👍👏
Used to make chisels for my dear old Dad from roo bar, harden and temper them. Also cut and shape the old bucket handles for a dinging iron.
Nice bit of detail that man.
The chisels today don’t last like they used to, I don’t know if the steel is manufactured cheaper and quality goes a bit but they definitely don’t last like they did, but pointing irons are good and last really well, cheers for watching 👏👍
A joy to watch a professional or should I say master, of the art of laying bricks wonderful work
Many thanks for watching 👏👍
So satisfying to watch. Really nice looking brick too. 👍
Much appreciated 👍🧱
Lovely bit of brickwork mate. Extra points for singing Walk the Dinosaur 😂
👍👍 you can’t beat walking the Dinosaur 😂
Where your headers are touching the block work won't the damp track through?
Of course it will.Bridging.Even up under the eves,it won't be completely protected.Especially if it's on the prevailing side.
Very nice clean skilled work
Thank you! Cheers!👍
Lovely work
beautiful work
Thank you very much! Cheers for watching 👍
What a great skill a fantastic job its a shame this not being encouraged in schools we need our children to build our country
If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to ask Budd to just name his price to build my new dream home.
Hurry up and win 😂👍
Done a few of those in my time. 😊Good work.
Beautiful job.
Thank you so much 😀
I'm a bricky and wish I was as good as that , nice work 👍
Work of art 👏
👏👍
Great video, really quite interesting watching a trades at work. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
outstanding work cigar for you sir!
Many thanks 👏👍
Joy to watch
Many thanks for watching 👏👍
That looks really nice.
Many thanks, and thanks for watching 👍🧱
Fantastic!
I'll bet you started building sandcastles as a boy on the beach on holiday ... ah ,the old trade secrets coming out there . Nice one ..
Nice to see your on the ball mate! I dropped from laying to roofing... 😂 why 😂😂😂😂
That gives your knees some hard, 👍😊
very good work bud ,good work skills;;
Thank you! Cheers!👍
That mortar looks good enough to eat! I can never get it to that consistency, it always seems too liquid and the beds are too thin as a result. Lovely work!
Nice work.
Cheers 👍🧱
Tidy job. Can’t beat the traditional look
What you using a hammer for to knock the bricks down for ?
Master craftsman great
The fisheye lense on the camera is cool for skateboarding videos but it makes plum and level brickwork looked curved. Tidy job
Mmm how do I get the mortar fluffy like that?
We always thought that it was a good idea to put the roof trusses on first and then do the cut up! Then there is no oh dea does that look a bit off!
Proper brickie
Nice to see something different from the usual speed brickie garbage around UA-cam
Thanks for the view 👍
Lovely…..no beautiful…… and done with a very nice looking brick too.
Glad you like it!,the bricks not cheap either but you do get what you pay for , 👍🧱👏
Hi what is the name of the brick - thanks
Didn't see that on the left hand side of cut up?
What kind of mortar is that?
It’s a five to one ratio, with a little sika additive and a little water, very well mixed, we have got a video if you scroll through the list of how we mix it, 👍
make no mistake a top tradesman
Many thanks 👍👍
I can't see any insulation?
Pretty sure that 95% of brikies cant do what this man is doing to perfection.
This bloke ain’t good enough to clean my travel mate
Nice brickwork but if roof is done like in 2020, roof will be much higher then rafters
Craftsman.
👏👏👍
where abouts norfolk you based budd , got a couple of mates in attleborough and diss
That’s the money part of Norfolk , that is Jack, I’m North Norfolk boi, what’s happened to the summer? 👍
you wouldnt think it looking at the 2 mates ,just heard the weather forcast its expected to get better next june@@BuildingwithBudd
Thornham Brancaster or more Cromer?
😂😂
More Holt way
They have us do basic shit from ground up then ask for this shit almost out of sight at roofline...
Nothing worse than doing a curve with straight things 😊
Where’s the curve. That’s the camera. Look at the plumb line
@@petetelfer1482That's what I was thinking. The fisheye on the camera gave the illusion of a curve.
What accent is that Budd? Can't place it.
Where's the insulation?
Probably a garage bud.
Spot on 👍
As said its not rocket. Run your lines...
Great artwork that . Beautiful
Thank you very much! 👍
I’ve been laying bricks 35 years and I’ve never seen Bricklaying done with a Clawhammer before. if I’d of done that on my apprenticeship I would’ve got a slap. Poor
Don’t see what’s so hard about laying a few bricks to a line. Brickwork is one of the easiest trades. £100’s worth of tools and few levels.
Well you should have a go at laying bricks if you think it's that easy as, I can tell that most bricklayers today are crap. I speak as someone with 47 years of experience within the trade and thousands of pounds worth of tools to do the job correctly. The current trowel I am using was bought in 2006 at a cost of £65 + VAT then. I bought half a dozen because I new they were well made by craftsmen who understands my trade properly and not cheap alternatives from the likes from high street pound shops. I personally don't like the castellation brickwork this bricklayer is doing but, give him credit for doing a very skillful job that very few can perform properly today.
👏👏
Bit rough
He a chippy or a bricky ?…..never seen a bricky use a claw hammer to bed in
One of the blocks is off by 3 mil. Shameful 🤣
😂👍
Amazing skill- but is it not disturbing that we are still building houses the way the Romans did (brick/block walls, tile roof)?
Cars went, in 100 years, from hand bent sheet over a wooden frame to robot assembled complex vehicles with power everything, central locking, electric windows, air-con etc.
Aircraft went, in 100 years, from stick and string to supersonic, fully automated flying etc.
Houses, after 2000 years, would be recognized by Vitruvius.
Sad.
He’s good, but he’s no Dave Ford🤣🤦♂️
Looks like you’ve bridged the cavity, without DPM Tray. Definitely not good practice. Neat work but painfully slow.
I might have to get you to build my house mate. 😂😂
I’m up for it 😀🧱 , many thanks for watching 👍🧱
You need some dpc on the bricks touching the blockwork
