Animation isn't technically over, but Emoji Movie nearly killed Sony's reputation so much that this movie took all the blame. That's what happened when the creator creates his own creation and his Creation went terribly wrong that affected everyone.
Why? They got paid, and got a new movie in their portfolio. Say what you want about the script, the animation looks awesome. As far as the technical part goes - the movie's really-really good. I don't see how being involved in this whole thing impacted them negatively.
The animation is indeed well made and amazing, and might be good for their portfolio too. But i know for sure that most of the people working on that garbage were working on the cancelled popeye movie, and i know for experience that working on a project that you dislike, is just plain painful. And with this generic kids movie which is a wreck it ralph ripoff, i can hardly see people working at this, actually liking the movie. So yeah, i feel sorry for those working on this... thing.
Tony Leondis should never write a movie again. This is one of the worst written movies ever made. Finding Nemo, Up, Inside Out, the Toy Story Trilogy, The Incredibles those movies had better writing than The Emoji Movie. The Emoji Movie is my 2nd worst movie ever along with The Last Airbender which is my Number 1.

This is literally Wreck it Ralph. The main character is upset with who he is so he decides to escape his home. Oh yeah and the people on the outside have absolutely no idea about the world inside, as a matter of fact because of the things they do inside, it fucks things for the people outside. Say what you want about the script, the animation looks awesome. As far as the technical part goes - the movie's really-really good. I don't see how being involved in this whole thing impacted them negatively.
The animation is indeed well made and amazing, and might be good for their portfolio too.
But i know for sure that most of the people working on that garbage were working on the cancelled popeye movie, and i know for experience that working on a project that you dislike, is just plain painful.
And with this generic kids movie which is a wreck it ralph ripoff, i can hardly see people working at this, actually liking the movie.
So yeah, i feel sorry for those working on this... thing.
Tony Leondis should never write a movie again. This is one of the worst written movies ever made. Finding Nemo, Up, Inside Out, the Toy Story Trilogy, The Incredibles those movies had better writing than The Emoji Movie. The Emoji Movie is my 2nd worst movie ever along with The Last Airbender which is my Number 1.

This is literally Wreck it Ralph. The main character is upset with who he is so he decides to escape his home. On his perilous journey he meets a young female who'll eventually be his life long best friend. But before he can even get to where he's going he's gotta travel through multiple different games. Oh yeah and the people on the outside have absolutely no idea about the world inside, as a matter of fact because of the things they do inside, it fucks things for the people outside.
