Thx for the great video. I'm having an issue with the products I place into collections not showing up from the home page navigation. Everything from the main menu is directing to the same collection. Clearly I'm doing something wrong :( Look forward to any suggestions.
Hey there! If you're having trouble with products not showing up in collections on your Shopify store's homepage navigation, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Let's troubleshoot and identify the potential problems: - Collection Setup: Ensure that you've correctly added products to the desired collections in your Shopify admin panel. Verify that the collections are set to be visible/active on your online store. To check this, go to the specific collection in your Shopify admin, and under the "Status" section make sure "Online Store" is selected. - Navigation Menu Configuration: Check your navigation menu setup in Shopify. Ensure that you have created the menu items and linked them to the correct collections. To do this, go to "Online Store" > "Navigation," and review your menu structure. - Navigation Link Settings: Double-check the settings for each menu item. Make sure they are linked to the correct collections. Also, ensure that the menu items are set to be visible and not hidden. - Collection Handles: Ensure that the handles (URL slugs) for your collections don't contain any special characters or spaces. Stick to alphanumeric characters and dashes if necessary. - Theme Configuration: The issue might be related to your theme settings. Ensure that your theme supports dropdown menus or sub-menus for collections, especially if you have multiple sub-collections within a main collection. - Cache and Cookies: Clear your browser cache and cookies. Sometimes, old settings can cause display issues. Additionally, try accessing your store in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out browser-related issues. - App or Code Conflicts: If you have installed third-party apps or customized your theme code, there could be conflicts causing this problem. Disable apps one by one to see if any are causing the issue. If you've made code customizations, review them carefully to ensure they haven't affected navigation. - Shopify Support If the issue persists, you can reach out to the Shopify support live chat! They will help you fix this issue very quickly.
This was helpful. Can you share details on how can we create a separate collections page that goes from the menu bar & has the list of all products under that.
Hey! Here's a step-by-step guide to create what you have in mind: - Create the collection you want to link in your menu bar. For example, you could create a 'Mens' collection with all men's products in it. - Create collections for the subcategories for your menu. For example: Mens shirts, mens bottoms.... Once all the collections are created, you'll need to add them to your navigation menu. Here's how: - Go to 'Online Store' - Under 'Online Store', click on 'Navigation' -Click on 'Main menu' -Click on 'Add menu item' - Type in the name of your collection - Choose your collection page as a link - Save your menu Now refresh your website, and should be able to see the new menu items linking to your chosen collections! Let me know if this is what you had in mind. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!
I somehow published my comment before I finished. There are other videos related to installing digital downloads app on Shopify - but I like your style of teaching so I think you would do a great video on the subject.☺
Hello :) That is a great suggestion, I'll definitely keep it in mind for one of the next videos. Thanks for the positive feedback, I appreciate your time & energy!
Thank you for your kind comment, Fabiane! I'm glad to hear this was helpful. If you have any questions or topics you'd like me to cover in future videos, feel free to let me know. Thanks again for your feedback!
Hey! Go to your collections, click on the collection missing, and make sure that it has been published in your online store. You can check this status in the top right box named ''Publishing''. Make sure there is a green dot next to ''online store''
Hey! Thank you so much. Shopify's basic plan typically allows you to have one checkout page for your store. This checkout page is hosted on Shopify's secure servers and is designed to provide a consistent and secure shopping experience for your customers. However, Shopify Plus, which is Shopify's enterprise-level plan, does offer more customization options, including the ability to create multiple checkout flows. With Shopify Plus, you can use the "Script Editor" feature to customize the checkout process and create different checkout experiences for specific products, customer groups, or regions.
Hello there, I have a question regarding a "set". I'm currentely using Dsers to work the product then I upload it on Shopify, But How can I create a Set ( not a collection) for example, let's say I would like to sell a set of 3 posters, How can I do that if each product has a SKU code?
Hey there, great question! The easiest way to do this would be by adding a product bundle app to your store. It will enable the exact function you are looking for. Go over to the Apps section of Shopify and search ¨Product bundle¨. Here's a free app I came across: apps.shopify.com/bundler-product-bundles?surface_detail=marketing-and-conversion-upselling-and-cross-selling-product-bundles&surface_inter_position=1&surface_intra_position=2&surface_type=category&surface_version=redesign You'll find many options, some for free, some with a paid subscription. There are also ways to manually set this up, though that would require some technical expertise. Here goes a link in case you are interested in that possibility: shopify.dev/docs/apps/selling-strategies/bundles Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know
Hey there! Yes, to separate items into different categories we use collections. When creating collections, first you'll need to create ALL categories you can think of as individual collections, regardless if it's a sub-category or a main category in your store. Just create all of them in the same way, as individual collections. We will then organize this main and sub category browsing flow with the navigation menu. You can create the main and subcategories in your navigation menu by drag and dropping items underneath other items! Here are step-by-step instructions to add the collections you create to the main menu: 1. From your Shopify admin, go to 'online store' 2. Click on 'Add menu item' 3. Enter a name for the menu item. This name displays in the menu, and can include special characters or emoji. 4. Link to the corresponding section you want to appear in your menu 5. Click Add to save menu item 6. Click save menu Hope this helps :) If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know :)
Hey, absolutely! Thanks for your comment and question. When it comes to optimizing your Shopify collection pages for SEO, image alt tags are a key element to consider. Also known as alternative text, alt tags are HTML attributes used to describe the content of an image on a webpage. The purpose of an alt tag is to provide a text alternative to an image in case it cannot be displayed for some reason, such as slow internet connection, a broken link, or an assistive technology device used by someone with visual impairments. Search engines use alt tags to better understand the content of a webpage and rank it in search results. They should be brief, descriptive, and accurately reflect the content of the image. To edit your image alt tags in Shopify, simply click on the image in the collection editor, and click the "Alt text" field. There you'll be typing your information. Here are some tips to craft your alt tags: 1. Be descriptive: The alt tag should describe the image and be as descriptive as possible. This helps search engines understand the context and content of the image. Be accurate, useful, and include relevant keywords. 2. Keep it concise: While you want to be descriptive, you also want to keep your alt tags concise. A good rule of thumb is to keep your alt tags to 125 characters or less. This ensures that your alt tags are effective without being too long and cluttering up your page. 3. Be mindful of keyword stuffing: While it's important to include relevant keywords in your alt tags, be mindful not to stuff them with too many keywords. This can be seen as spammy by algorithm analysis and may hurt your SEO efforts. I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions about Shopify or SEO :)
hello, is this option available for starter plan? when i click products in the tab id doesnt say collections it says products, inventory, purchase orders, gift cards, so at this point im wondering if my plan has this option at all because i cant seem to find it,great video everything explained very well❤️
Hey, thank you! To have access to the collections feature inside Shopify, you'll need a Shopify Basic plan for $19 a month, as the $5 Starter plan does not include collections. Here's a link to Shopify's best current deal: bit.ly/3PySTyh If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know :)
New to Shopify & Looking for how to add featured collections to individual pages.I created a dropdown with categories but when I add a collection it seems to default to all the dropdown page options. Do you have a video that shows this? Thank you!
Hey there! It sounds like you're trying to add a unique featured collection section to specific pages, but they're appearing across all dropdown options. I recommend watching this tutorial on how to create custom product pages so you can customize the individual pages with the sections you prefer: ua-cam.com/video/MtoUBRwHbx4/v-deo.html Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know :)
Hey! Great question. Instead of creating sub-collections, you can simply create new collections, and then structure each collection into subcategories in your navigation menu. For example: Create a ''womens tops'' collection, ''womens bottoms'' collection, etc. You can then link each of these collections in your navigation menu, and drag and drop them become a sub-menu item underneath ''Womens''. Another option: Within your "Women's Collection," you can add products with specific tags like "Dresses" or "Tops." Then, create separate navigation links for these tags in your online store's menu. Let me know if this works out for you!
There isn’t a way to create subcollections directly, but you can organize your navigation menu with submenu items. Submenu items will display with a dropdown arrow on menus that contain them. If you don’t have too many subcollections, you could also consider creating main menu items for each.
Hey there! Yes, you can choose the order in which products are displayed within a collection in Shopify. Here are step-by-step instructions: 1. From your Shopify dashboard, click on 'Products' 2. Select 'Collections', and then choose the collection you want to edit. 3. In the collection settings, scroll down to 'Sort' 4. From the dropdown menu, select 'Manual' (this allows you to reorder products manually). 5. You can now drag and drop the products to the order you prefer. Once you’re done, your collection will display products in the order you've arranged! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me :)
Hey there! I'm happy to hear that the video sparked some inspiration! If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to let me know :) Thanks for watching!
Hi, the video is very helpful, thank you!. I am building an international store and I have different products depending on language. Is it possible to name collections "English", "Spanish" etc. and show "English collection" on English Home Page and "Spanish collection" on Spanish Home Page? Can I do it? How? I will appreciate your help.
Hey there, you're welcome! Yes, you can set up different languages and translate your page. To do this, go to Settings > Markets > International > Languages and domains.
Gret video, though im having trouble because i add my items to the collection, and add the collection to my store, though when i click "view your online store" and click on the collection i added, nothing comesup?
Hey! From your Shopify dashboard: - Go to Products > Collections - Click the collection you are trying to show - On the top right, there is a box named 'Publishing' - Make sure there is a green dot next to 'Online Store'. This is what ensures this collection's visibility in your website. Let me know if that works out for you!
Hey Francois! There are several ways to add products to your collection. One of the ways is directly from your collection page. Here's how: 1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu and then to 'Collections' 2. Click on the collection you want to add a product to 3. In the section just below the description, click on 'Browse' 4. Select the products you wish to add to the collection. 5. Click Done 6. Save the collection -- Another way is through the product itself. Here's how: 1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu 2. Click on the product you wish to add to a collection to open your product settings 3. On the right side, there is a Product Information summary box. You will see 'Collections' right there as the fourth option. Choose the collection there. 4. Save product -- ...And here is one more way to add products to a collection! Here's how: 1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu. You will see your list of products here. 2. Mark the boxes of the products you wish to add to a collection 3. Click on the three dots next to ''Set as Draft'' 4. Click on ''Add to Collection'' 5. Choose the collection and save -- Let me know if one of these options work out for you! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
@@Shopify-Success thanks a million, only thing the last option when I click the 3 dots there are no option for "Add to collection" only have archive, delete, include in sales channels, exclude from sales channel, include in markets, exclude and add tags :(
@@francoisgs1 Let's check if the collection is actually active. From your dashboard, go Products > Collection > Click on the collection Now under 'Publishing' on the top right, click Manage and make sure your online store is selected. The small green ball should appear. Now check if the Add to Collection appears... You could also try one of the other methods I mentioned! There are several ways to add a product to an existing collection. Let me know if this helps :)

If you have any additional questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks for watching, and happy selling!
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I currently have an SEO course in the making and more marketing courses coming soon! You can get notified when they're out here: www.digitalsuccessjourney.com/signup
You're welcome! The collections will only appear in your home page if you choose to add those sections. In every website page you have the option to customize what sections appear, and 'featured collection' is always an option. They can also appear in another website page if you decide to include them. All in all, you have control over where to show the collections, based on how you customize your store in the theme editor. By default, Shopify will also create a collections page with all collection covers in it. You can choose if you want to make this page available in your navigation menu! From your Shopify dashboard, Go to Online Store > Navigation > Main Menu - and edit the links as needed. You can include collections wherever else you'd like to link them in your menu! :)

@@Shopify-Success thanks for your response, i just started shopify and adding a collection is the problem im facing and i decided to search on youtube video until i came across your video.
@@Shopify-Success Thanks...well I'm new to Shopify and online business so I have no real experience with any of this. But I wanted to ask you, the new website I recently set up has had over 600 visitors and not a single sale, at all. Is that to be expected or am I doing something wrong? I'd love your opinion about that, I've been trying to clean up my website and making sure pricing isn't too outrageous but I'm lost where I am going wrong. I decided to base the website around my own interests, now I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice but I wanted to do something that felt more in tune with my hobbies I guess. If you would be interested in giving me a harsh critique that would be awesome lol.
@@etrnlvw1111 First of all congrats on getting started with your own business! While 600 visitors is a good start, it's still a beginning phase, and there are so many factors that play into getting a sale. Here is a list of things you should have in mind: 1. Are you getting the right kind of traffic? 600 visitors that are not part of your relevant audience will not convert into sales. May I ask if you know where this traffic is coming from? Is it social media marketing, ads, or purely SEO generated traffic? 2. Your target market. A $10 pair of sunglasses will likely convert more often than a $800 suit. If you are selling a luxury product, this should be taken into account. 3. Website design: This can have a big impact on whether visitors are likely to stay on your site and make a purchase. A well-designed website that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly can help increase conversion rates. Be very critical about the aesthetic! We are very visual beings. 4. User experience: Visitors to your website should be able to easily find the products they're looking for, and the checkout process should be simple and straightforward. If the user experience is poor, visitors may abandon their purchase before completing it. 5. Product quality and pricing: The quality of your products and your pricing strategy can also play a role in conversion rates. If your products are priced too high or the quality is not up to par, visitors may not be willing to make a purchase. 6. It's important to understand your target audience and tailor your website and products to their needs and interests. If your website is not appealing to your target audience, they are less likely to convert. 7. Trust and credibility: Visitors need to trust your website before they will be willing to make a purchase. Providing clear and transparent information about your business, including contact information and customer reviews, even if from friends and family at first, can help establish trust and credibility. Make sure to set up shipping and returns information pages as well. As for your decision to base your website around your own interests, I think that is wonderful! It's important to strike a balance between pursuing your passion and offering products that your target audience is interested in. It's possible to do both, it might just require some research and experimentation. Overall, I would recommend getting feedback from others on your website and products! This can help you identify areas for improvement and make changes that will help you generate sales :) And very important: Definitely keep in mind that 600 visitors is not enough data to make any harsh conclusions. There is also a strong possibility that your website is already excellent, and you might still need more visitors before making any major alterations. I recommend going over the Analytics section of Shopify and having a look at how long your user sessions are on average. You can check this by going to ''Sessions by location'' and opening the report. There you can add filters with various metrics, one of them being ''average session duration''. This can help you start gathering more information and ideas on what to optimize. I also highly recommend setting up Session Recordings with Hotjar. You'll be able to see a video recording of each user session on your website. It's game changing! Know that it will take a bit of time and effort get things up and running, what you are experiencing is absolutely normal and to be expected. With a data-driven mindset and a critical eye, you'll be sure to see results sooner or later. Don't give up! Success takes time. I hope this gives you a few ideas for now! Stay in tune, I'll be creating tons of marketing videos in the near future :)

Great videos Julia. Thank you for the invaluable education. Better than the tutorials provided by Shopify in my opinion. You cover everything my wife and I are planning on presenting on my shop - except "how to sell digital downloads". I want to be able to sell some of my artwork as digital downloads, (e.g to give some customers the cheaper option of self-printing to use as - maybe - wall art. I would also offer these same artworks as finished, framed products). All other products I offer be POD so no worries there. But I'm a little "stuck" on how to market digital downloads in a Shopify shop. It obviously means I would need to be receiving and sending from my base. Have you thought about making a video to cover this? Or do you think it is not a good idea.
Hey there, thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words, and I'm so glad you found what you were looking for in this channel. Digital downloads is a great topic for one of the next Shopify tutorials, I'll definitely keep this suggestion in mind! I think your digital download idea is a great product as well, as long as you are able to work out the perceived value between both product options. You'll need to make sure there is a clear advantage and distinction to buying a framed poster, so that their value is not diminished by the cheaper self-printing option. With nice looking product images and some clever titles, this should be achievable, and you'll be able to market both concepts! You could also build out different sales funnels for each product page, marketing each product with a different angle and unique-selling-point. Now to set up your digital downloads, there are many different Shopify apps you can install to enable this feature in your store. Just go to the Shopify app store and type in 'Digital Downloads' ! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know. I'd love to know if this solution works out for you! Thanks for watching & until the next video!
Hey! That's unusual, you can try refreshing your cookies or trying a different internet browser. If the issue persists, I recommend hopping on a live chat with a Shopify customer support agent. Here's a link to start the support live chat: help.shopify.com/en/support/confirm-account-details?returnTo=/en/support/login Once you open the link, you will see a big chat on the right side of the screen. Type in ''I would like to speak with a customer support agent live'' . They will connect you with an agent! Alternatively you can also email Shopify directly.
Hey Sugumaran! If your products are not appearing in the order you want them to, it's possible it has something to do with the default sorting option for the collection. To change the sorting order, simply go to the collection in question, and click on the "Sort" dropdown menu. From there, you can select the "Manual" option, which allows you to manually reorder the products in the collection using drag-and-drop. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with. Regenerate response
Hello, I'm having a slight problem. So when I click on products and then the drop down menu appears, I don't see collections(Inventory Purchase orders, Gift cards). And I have no idea why it isn't appearing. Please help ASAP
Hey there! Sorry to hear you are facing this issue. That is indeed a strange error. The first thing I recommend you do is refresh the browser, close and open it. If that doesn't work, first try logging into Shopify in a different browser and test if that works out. Sometimes I face bugs in Chrome but it works perfectly in Safari. If the issue persists, I'd recommend erasing all cache & cookies. And if it still doesn't work, I recommend getting in touch with Shopify customer support to have a look into your account. Hope this helps!
Hey Alida! In a menu category on Shopify, you can add various types of links to direct your customers to different pages within your store. These links can include: 1. Collections: Groups of related products 2. Pages: Static content pages that you can create to provide additional information about your store or products, such as an About Us page or a Contact Us page. 3. Blogs: If you have a blog on your Shopify store, you can add a link to it in your menu category. 4. Products: You can also link directly to individual products in your store. 5. External websites: If you have a separate website or blog that you want to link to from your Shopify store, you can include those links in your menu category as well. Overall, collections are a popular choice to include in your menu category, but you can certainly mix and match the types of links you use depending on your store's needs. For the majority of stores, collections will be essential. Hope this was helpful! Feel free to ask any other questions.
Hey! You mean the ''collections'' menu item is not showing in the dashboard's side menu? That is a very strange issue, I believe it might have something to do with your browser/cache. Have you tried in a different browser?
Hey there, that would require some coding. Here are instructions on how to do it: websensepro.com/blog/show-different-banner-images-on-mobile-desktop-in-shopify/ If you need help with specific codes, I recommend you post in the Shopify community thread. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out :)
You might need different code specific to your theme. I'd recommend asking your question in the Shopify community thread. There are coders there who will help you.

Hey! Make sure to check if your product status is set to 'ACTIVE'. Inside your Shopify dashboard, go to 'Products' and click the product you are not seeing. Now on the top right there is a box that says 'Status'. If your product is not visible in the store, it's because it's probably set to 'Draft'. Change it to 'Active' and then check again if it shows up now!
The shopify store must've had some updates because I'm not sure if I just can't have a collections page to show the different sets of apparels available like shirts/bags/facialcovers/phone/hoodies. I follow the stuff and for some odd reason it'll stop me from getting my collections list of specifics to direct towards only those items of specified desires. You tap it and it just refreshes itself on the same page. Doesn't progress. Do I need less collections in that specified box or?
Hey! If you're experiencing issues with your Shopify store's collections page, where clicking on a specific collection doesn't direct you to the desired items and instead refreshes the same page, there could be a few reasons for this behavior. It's important to troubleshoot the issue to identify the root cause and resolve it. Here are some steps you can take: - Check the Collection Settings: Ensure that each collection has the correct products assigned to it in the Shopify admin dashboard. Double-check the collection settings, including any filters or conditions you may have set up for the collections. - Themes and Templates: The issue may be related to your store's theme or templates. Ensure that your theme supports collections and has the necessary templates for displaying them correctly. Consider switching to a default Shopify theme temporarily to see if the issue persists. If not, the problem may be with your current theme. - Third-Party Apps: If you've installed third-party apps or custom code that affect your collections page, try disabling them one by one to see if any of them are causing the issue. - Browser Compatibility: Sometimes, browser extensions or cache issues can cause problems with how pages load. Try accessing your store from a different browser or in incognito/private mode to see if the problem persists. - Navigation Menus: Ensure that the navigation menus on your website are correctly set up to link to the specific collections. Incorrect menu settings can lead to navigation issues. Let me know if any of these work out for you!
Hey there! May I have more details on the issue? Are you using Dawn theme? In which part of your website is this happening? It may have something to do with the amount of collections you are displaying per row. In your theme editor, go to the collection section where the issue is happening and have a look in the side menu. You'll find a section named ¨Maximum number of columns on desktop¨. Try decreasing this number and let me know if that works out!

Let's troubleshoot and identify the potential problems:
- Collection Setup:
Ensure that you've correctly added products to the desired collections in your Shopify admin panel.
Verify that the collections are set to be visible/active on your online store. To check this, go to the specific collection in your Shopify admin, and under the "Status" section make sure "Online Store" is selected.
- Navigation Menu Configuration:
Check your navigation menu setup in Shopify. Ensure that you have created the menu items and linked them to the correct collections. To do this, go to "Online Store" > "Navigation," and review your menu structure.
- Navigation Link Settings:
Double-check the settings for each menu item. Make sure they are linked to the correct collections. Also, ensure that the menu items are set to be visible and not hidden.
- Collection Handles:
Ensure that the handles (URL slugs) for your collections don't contain any special characters or spaces. Stick to alphanumeric characters and dashes if necessary.
- Theme Configuration:
The issue might be related to your theme settings. Ensure that your theme supports dropdown menus or sub-menus for collections, especially if you have multiple sub-collections within a main collection.
- Cache and Cookies:
Clear your browser cache and cookies. Sometimes, old settings can cause display issues. Additionally, try accessing your store in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out browser-related issues.
- App or Code Conflicts:
If you have installed third-party apps or customized your theme code, there could be conflicts causing this problem. Disable apps one by one to see if any are causing the issue. If you've made code customizations, review them carefully to ensure they haven't affected navigation.
- Shopify Support
If the issue persists, you can reach out to the Shopify support live chat! They will help you fix this issue very quickly.

This was helpful. Can you share details on how can we create a separate collections page that goes from the menu bar & has the list of all products under that.
Hey! Here's a step-by-step guide to create what you have in mind:
- Create the collection you want to link in your menu bar. For example, you could create a 'Mens' collection with all men's products in it.
- Create collections for the subcategories for your menu. For example: Mens shirts, mens bottoms....
Once all the collections are created, you'll need to add them to your navigation menu. Here's how:
- Go to 'Online Store'
- Under 'Online Store', click on 'Navigation'
-Click on 'Main menu'
-Click on 'Add menu item'
- Type in the name of your collection
- Choose your collection page as a link
- Save your menu
Now refresh your website, and should be able to see the new menu items linking to your chosen collections!
Let me know if this is what you had in mind. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

Great video. Quick question, can you have more than one checkout page in shopify?
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

Here's a free app I came across: apps.shopify.com/bundler-product-bundles?surface_detail=marketing-and-conversion-upselling-and-cross-selling-product-bundles&surface_inter_position=1&surface_intra_position=2&surface_type=category&surface_version=redesign
You'll find many options, some for free, some with a paid subscription.
There are also ways to manually set this up, though that would require some technical expertise. Here goes a link in case you are interested in that possibility: shopify.dev/docs/apps/selling-strategies/bundles
Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know

Do you need to use collections for separating categories or how can I use a drop down menu and do it that way?
Here are step-by-step instructions to add the collections you create to the main menu:
1. From your Shopify admin, go to 'online store'
2. Click on 'Add menu item'
3. Enter a name for the menu item. This name displays in the menu, and can include special characters or emoji.
4. Link to the corresponding section you want to appear in your menu
5. Click Add to save menu item
6. Click save menu
Hope this helps :) If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know :)
Do you have any more SEO tips for collection pages??
Here are some tips to craft your alt tags:

I recommend watching this tutorial on how to create custom product pages so you can customize the individual pages with the sections you prefer: ua-cam.com/video/MtoUBRwHbx4/v-deo.html
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know :)
But if let's say I opened a clothing store, and I opened a women's collection, how do I put another collection inside the women's collection?
@@Shopify-Success Pls make a video on how to make subcollection no one hover on navigation menu on mobile
There isn’t a way to create subcollections directly, but you can organize your navigation menu with submenu items. Submenu items will display with a dropdown arrow on menus that contain them. If you don’t have too many subcollections, you could also consider creating main menu items for each.

1. From your Shopify dashboard, click on 'Products'
2. Select 'Collections', and then choose the collection you want to edit.
3. In the collection settings, scroll down to 'Sort'

Is it possible to name collections "English", "Spanish" etc. and show "English collection" on English Home Page and "Spanish collection" on Spanish Home Page? Can I do it? How? hi thanks for good video, just a question when I want to connect a product to my collection, I dont have the choice "add to my collection??
Hey Francois! There are several ways to add products to your collection.
One of the ways is directly from your collection page. Here's how:
1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu and then to 'Collections'
2. Click on the collection you want to add a product to
3. In the section just below the description, click on 'Browse'
4. Select the products you wish to add to the collection.
5. Click Done
6. Save the collection
--
Another way is through the product itself. Here's how:
1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu
2. Click on the product you wish to add to a collection to open your product settings
3. On the right side, there is a Product Information summary box. You will see 'Collections' right there as the fourth option. Choose the collection there.
4. Save product
--
...And here is one more way to add products to a collection! Here's how:
1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu. You will see your list of products here.
2. Mark the boxes of the products you wish to add to a collection
3. Click on the three dots next to ''Set as Draft''
4. Click on ''Add to Collection''
5. Choose the collection and save
--
Let me know if one of these options work out for you!
From your dashboard, go Products > Collection > Click on the collection
Now under 'Publishing' on the top right, click Manage and make sure your online store is selected. The small green ball should appear. Now check if the Add to Collection appears...
You could also try one of the other methods I mentioned! There are several ways to add a product to an existing collection. Let me know if this helps :)

Thanks for the video. Are the Collections only added to the Home Page or do they also appear in the Catalog Page?
Thank you.

Here is a list of things you should have in mind:
This can help you identify areas for improvement and make changes that will help you generate sales :)
And very important: Definitely keep in mind that 600 visitors is not enough data to make any harsh conclusions.

How to add products from the products list to the store categories????
Hey there! At 17:21 in this video, I explain how to create collections and add products to them (collections are store categories): ua-cam.com/video/Pz6vmVv6YOg/v-deo.html
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out :)
How do I keep the original grid style in featured collections? Once I added my products to the homepage it turned into a carousel and I barely see all the products? Thanks again
Hey there! You can uncheck the button 'enable carousel on desktop' and then select the 'number of columns' you want to appear: shown at 24:40 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6Da36Z9gNuU/v-deo.html&lc=Ugx4Jt44mtwEKEHWQx94AaABAg
@@Shopify-Success thank u I got it 💪🏽
If you press on the button for the category it brings you on the same Page
Hey! I need a few more details on the issue to be able to help. Could you let me know where this is happening exactly? If shown in the video, let me know the minute/second and I'll try to help you out!
You don't show it directly in the video, but for example, you hover over the category "Gardening Tools" at 4:47. If you press on the category, it brings you to the homepage and not to a separate page where only the gardening tools are shown. @@Shopify-Success
I need help actually getting the products under the collections.
Hey! To add products to collections, here are step-by-step instructions:
1. First, make sure to create the collection as shown at 1:36 in the video
1. From your Shopify dashboard, go to 'Products'
2. Select all the products you want to add to the collection (as shown at 2:59 in the video), and click on the three dots on the right and select 'Add to collection'
3. Next, choose the collections to which the products will be added (you can select multiple collections if needed), and click 'Save'
Once all the collections are created, you'll need to add them to your navigation menu. Here's how:
1. Go to 'Online Store' > 'Navigation'
2. Click on 'Main menu' > 'Add menu item'
3. Type in the name of your collection
6. Choose your collection page as a link
7. Save your menu
Now refresh your website, and should be able to see the new menu items linking to your chosen collections!
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

Thanks for watching & until the next video!
hi there its great my store is new not getting throug facebook can u guide me
Hey! Do you mean that your new store is not getting enough traffic through Facebook? Are you paying for ads?
I need to change the name of my collections, when I did it, all my products disappeared...ugh do I have to start over and go one by one??
Hey! That's unusual, you can try refreshing your cookies or trying a different internet browser. If the issue persists, I recommend hopping on a live chat with a Shopify customer support agent. They are available 24/7 and can help you step-by-step through resolving this issue.
Here's a link to start the support live chat:
help.shopify.com/en/support/confirm-account-details?returnTo=/en/support/login
Once you open the link, you will see a big chat on the right side of the screen. Type in ''I would like to speak with a customer support agent live'' . They will connect you with an agent! Alternatively you can also email Shopify directly.
how can I reorder the products in a collection? I created a manual one but it's not showing my products in the order I want it to
Hey Sugumaran!
So when I click on products and then the drop down menu appears, I don't see collections(Inventory
Purchase orders,
Gift cards).
Hope this helps!
do I need collections for the menu then?
Hey Alida! In a menu category on Shopify, you can add various types of links to direct your customers to different pages within your store. These links can include:
1. Collections: Groups of related products
❤
Thanks for watching :) Much love!
Under my products tab it doesn’t have an option for collections??
Hey! You mean the ''collections'' menu item is not showing in the dashboard's side menu? That is a very strange issue, I believe it might have something to do with your browser/cache. Have you tried in a different browser?
Hi, i am struggling with the banner images. I wanna show different banners for mobile and desktop. Can you help me? 😢
Hey there, that would require some coding. Here are instructions on how to do it: websensepro.com/blog/show-different-banner-images-on-mobile-desktop-in-shopify/
If you need help with specific codes, I recommend you post in the Shopify community thread.

I have done everything but get nothing, are the codes different to use for different themes?
You might need different code specific to your theme. I'd recommend asking your question in the Shopify community thread. There are coders there who will help you.

my product is still not showing up after i add the collection
Change it to 'Active' and then check again if it shows up now!
how do i make it like yours at the start
Hey there! Where are you referring to?
@Shopify-Success I already found I what I was looking for but I was talking about the categories on the top banner
Here are some steps you can take:
- Check the Collection Settings:
Ensure that each collection has the correct products assigned to it in the Shopify admin dashboard.
Double-check the collection settings, including any filters or conditions you may have set up for the collections.
- Themes and Templates:
The issue may be related to your store's theme or templates. Ensure that your theme supports collections and has the necessary templates for displaying them correctly.
Consider switching to a default Shopify theme temporarily to see if the issue persists. If not, the problem may be with your current theme.
- Third-Party Apps:
If you've installed third-party apps or custom code that affect your collections page, try disabling them one by one to see if any of them are causing the issue.
- Browser Compatibility:
Sometimes, browser extensions or cache issues can cause problems with how pages load. Try accessing your store from a different browser or in incognito/private mode to see if the problem persists.
- Navigation Menus:
Ensure that the navigation menus on your website are correctly set up to link to the specific collections. Incorrect menu settings can lead to navigation issues.
Let me know if any of these work out for you!
My collection images are showing too big and its only 600/600 what should i do ?
One of my products keeps adding into a collection I don’t want it to 😭 any ideas on why that could be happening?
Hey! Are you adding the product to more than one collection? If this keeps happening, I recommend hopping on a live chat with a Shopify customer support agent. They are available 24/7 and can help you step-by-step through resolving this issue.
