Thank you for this video! Just got my dryer last week and I was wondering about this because power outages are common where I live. I think I'll be able to handle it without panicking now! haha
Thanks so much, great info. I'd be reaching for my generator, losing food breaks my heart. Your info teaches what to look for to know if I can save it, or if it's not worth saving. .
Excellent presentation. I have planned for this situation by owning a dedicated power generation equipment to be the stop gap until house power is resumed.
Thanks Phil! I have a suggestion for those who don't want to take a chance or if it looks problematic. If you have pets, you can feed them with this. Personally, I'd make a stew and work on that for a day or two.
I recommend a surge protector. The return to power kicked mine off line for a while. Better yet, use a batter backup so you can safely cancel the process
Thanks! This just happened to my son and I in Indiana this morning. We ended up putting our trays in the freezer and starting again 12 hours later. It's nice to k own we can resume, but I'm guessing I need to update my firmware to get that option
I was concerned about a possible power outage when I purchased my Freeze Dryer. I also purchased the ECO Flow Delta Pro (Solar Backup System) My Freeze Dryer is powered directly from the ECO Flow which acts like a UPS if you ever loose power. I have tested the system by simulating a power outage, and the Freeze Dryer kept running.
I literally just woke up to a three second power outage. Weirdest electrical experience ever. Lights and fans came on that were originally off and that’s what woke me up. I didn’t know the power had gone out until I saw flashing lights on my stove and microwave. I looked at the FD and it was running and said power outage .03 seconds. I wasn’t sure what to do. I just let it do it’s thing because it was so short of an outage. Am I doing the right thing? Obviously no ice had a chance to melt. Since I was awake I took a look at UA-cam and here was your video. How weird is all this?!
Thank you! I just ran into this issue this morning. Luckily, I'm an early bird and caught it right away. Cheers!
Thank you for thinking about what others including me weren't. Very useful info.
Thank you our electric just went out and my FD was almost done I panicked until I found this video.
Best information ever. Thank you. Thank you for your time again

Thank you. Electric company was doing upgrades on lines so I had turn off mine with only 5 hrs to go. This was really helpful.

Mine went out for 1 minute, and when the electric came back on the freeze dryer continued all by it self but it was telling me I had 1 minute power ö
