Just bought an 05' TB, Doing all the Audio upgrades myself and customization. thanks for the Vids Homie. Installed Amps, Dual Bandpass, four 6.5" Door Speakers, Crossover, Headunit, etc so far. Cool thing about these vehicles is iv'e found them very easy to work with and Customize without needing Professionals. Trailblazers look sharp and is a great Project car to learn on and customize on a budget.
And to make it even more easier, when you buy your speakers buy the speaker adapters for your car with them to make it plug and play. They just simply plugs directly into the factory wires so you don't have to do any modifications.
@10:00, dip your leads in some flux paste and pre-tin them for an easier time soldering. Thanks for the video. Total noob about to swap my receiver and maybe some speakers.
they are 5 1/4 but i made them fit. and they do goog mids and highs because they usually come with a crossover and twitters. it really depends on your budget and you if you want them to fit them in stock location or do something custom.
Just for next time (no hate) Tin your wires with solder before you attach them to the connector (heat the wire and apply some solder to it) then heat both the metal plate and the wire evenly and then apply solder.. or else you might end up with a cold solder which is weaker than what ive suggested... and lastly don't blow, blowing induces bubbles into the solder weakening the connection.. (road vibration, or speaker vibration could break the connection). overall great job man, good how-to

How many watts are them component speakers u used to replace the stock ones with i need to replace mine on my 02 ltz trailblazer cuz they burned out lol so dont want to get something the stock amp wont be able to handle.
Hey man I want to put new alpine type x component in the front and alpine your x component in the rear I was wondering is there anyway to take off the factory grill off of the door panel and put the alpine grill on the.speakers cuz I'm pretty sure it ll sound alot better if I take off the.factory speaker grill

What kind of speakers were these, make model. Are these all 6 1/2" all around including rears, or rears are 5 1/4"? If you used 6 1/2" in the rear, how did you manage to fit these? By the way, these speakers look sharp, got any specs for these?
Sorry it took me so long to reply, but yes they are all 6.5 inch speakers. What i did was notch the factory trim ring to fit them. And they are almani speakers, dont think they make them anymore.

i thought the back door speakers where 5 1/4? do components do good mids and highs? or would i be better off getting some 3 way speakers?

Do they all have the component tweeters up front? I'm replacing the speakers in my 05 LS since it has the same problem yours has.
