Absolutely love this show. How I interpret it, it is about crossing the line of what society deems as music and the evolution of controversial music as a whole. Many songs featured were controversial as release, and this show really puts that all into perspective. Only MCM would do a show like this.
All the music used was considered somewhat controversial when it was premiered. Rite of Spring - (if you don't know the history of its first performance look it up) Hound Dog - Elvis Presley (his dancing was considered controversial) Walk this Way - Aerosmith/RUN DMC (first Sony to combine rock and rap) Straight out of Compton- NWA (people had a problem with their use of curse words) So I'm assuming it's about "crossing the line" in society or something along those lines.
its about pushing the boundaries and being sucesful while doing it. its about the ability to push the agenda of an activity or genre before anyone else does that. mcm values themselves in that aspect ie: 2017, 2019, 2011 etc...
I feel like that opening lick at 1:10 will be much more impact full if they added some body with it. The other top groups are moving all over the place when they're playing their features. I'm sure they will as the season goes on. They damn sure playing this year tho
WGI needs to ban voiceovers. most of the time I can't even understand what they're saying. Once I figure it out, tit's usually cringe af. Great drums, great music. Cut the VO
Groups generally mix their electronics to sound good in the large arenas, so basing anything off of the fidelity in a high school gym is a pretty poor sampling. But if you just don't like voice-overs, that's okay too. Just say so
I have NO! idea why this is in my UA-cam feed, but its amazing!!! Nu metal is all i can think of.. a greT mix of everything! ❤
Is this the first time you are hearing about indoor drumline?

Fantastic work! Love it, Music City Mystique!
This is sick. If I’m interpreting it correctly the show is about censorship? I think? Idk, regardless it’s dope as fuck.

@@JBDrums.23 I dig that kind of concept. Only MCM would have the balls to do a show with heavy mature themes in a youth activity 🤘🏼
@@mantistoboggan2599 I realized they also reference John Cages 4'33 during the "silent" part of the show.

@@reesefleming1829 ok so I was in the ballpark sorta. I dig it. When a MCM has a really good show, it becomes legendary.
That accel quad feature is absolute gas
If in love with this front ensemble
and this is only early season 🤤
Some elements really coming together, still a lot of room for movement and embellishment. Excited to see that last bit of polish!
Let’s go willllllll!!!!!!
This show is definitely a dark horse this year. It has a lot of room for add-ons and more.
Well keep in mind it’s hella early in the season

Loving the focus on drill and no props. Hoping the trend carries over to the summer season
this is sick
