    Great info to share with us. It's always good to change a gas filter at least one time a year. Put painters tape around the hole so less chance of scratches for those who do it themselves. Thanks for sharing with us ✌️

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was able to change out my fuel filter on my 2015 CVO Street Glide without any issues. I truly appreciate it.

    You reinstalled the old fuel filter O ring inadvertently. The new one was in the box.

      I noticed that as well. I did change it off camera. Mistakes happens when filming and keeping on track of what I am doing.

    Harley says that's a 100k mile service for that little filter?! YEA RIGHT!! Fuel filters are cheap and a good tutorial like this definitely should be changed sooner.

      That's why I include that in a 20K service

    They make a cam wrench for that piece your hammering, but they’re hard to find. Nothing on amaxon or ebay

    • @DrHarley
      @DrHarley  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes they almost impossible to find. That's why I use a drift and a hammer.

    Can I put the assembly back in WITHOUT the filter, and just add a generic one in the fuel line under the apron? Seems like a better way

    • @DrHarley

      Seems like an option. However the fuel pressure coming put the the tank is high pressure.

    My 2015 street glide special is having hard time to start, like the throttle body stays open or something. Pops , smells like gas then it starts. Cleaned it, changed air filter and put some seafoam in the tank. Seem to help but the problem came bad. Can it the fuel filter or a sensor.? Any help much appreciated it.

      If you haven't changed the fuel It would be a good idea to do so. However, it's almost impossible to troubleshoot and diagnose

      Make sure that the u clip is installed properly and if so. Check every connection in the tank. When you turn the ignition to the on position, you should hear the fuel pump prime.

    Lets take the old o-ring off and we will leave the new o-ring in the box so we dont get it confused with the old o-ring. Then installs the old o-ring! This is a what not to do video! 🤔

    • @DrHarley
      @DrHarley  6 місяців тому

      I figured it out before I installed the fuel tank. I did remove the old one and replaced it.

    If you are going to hit it with a blunt instrument, use bronze tools. Otherwise, great video.

    • @DrHarley
      @DrHarley  8 місяців тому

      Bronze is too soft. It will chip apart. I tried that in the past.
