I love my Primo Round Kamado for larger meat portions and my Mini for smaller cooks . I really don't think the name matters much , everyone thinks theirs is the best . Just like car manufactures . I just think about lead paint in the Chinese made Ceramic grills . Primo Kamado's are made in the USA .
I put a rack of ribs I cut in half on my Mini Kamado and man they came out great . Now I have a rib rack I modified to fit in the mini Kamado and it fits even more . Can't ever have enough BBQ ribs . My Thermometer reads lower than how hot the temperature really is . By at least 100 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit . I'm going to put my new digital probe inside and see exactly how hot it actually is and Mark that thermometer at the low and slow temperature I need . Between 250 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit ! They say put it in a pot of boiling water , but I don't I try it yet .
These are a lot more versatile and reach higher temperatures and let it low and slow for at least 4 hours . My larger on I can low and slow about 14 hours and keep the same temperature . Also Kamado's are efficient and use less charcoal and you can reuse the same charcoal for another cook session . Closing the vents snuffs out the fire . Amazon has cheaper versions . Got me one for about $60.00 . They will be more by now .
I love your honesty with the cooks (good or bad). I still think the Kamado Joe Jr is unbeatable in this category. Keep up the good work!

@@michaelheiss4456 are you sure they are made in the usa or just assembled in the usa ?
Great video. I have the UK Aldi version. Word has it that the thermometer can not be trusted on those either

You didn't use the domed grate under the stone,I think that would have gave you more room.
Charley brown is what I would name it.
👍
If your thermometer is resting on a bone, it's not going to be as accurate as it could be buddy
How come your wife doesn’t eat meat? That’s gotta suck cookin all that stuff just for yourself.
My Ex wife would rather eat junk food ! ☺️ More BBQ for me ! It's not a problem , my problem is keeping my neighbors away . 😁👍
GO BIG or go home! This grill is too small
